Honey butter chicken and bacon biscuits
    Terrena S.

Went to local provisions for an annual alumni brunch and as always the food was good. The service was very accommodating to our large group. I had the honey butter chicken and bacon biscuit. Overall, the meal was good but I did feel as though the potatoes were a bit hard not exactly crispy.

I have tried to stay a loyal patron, but I just can't anymore. I absolutely adore some of the staff, but I am not going back because of the lack of respect and customer service of one particular person who I have heard multiple complaints about from clients and friends. The food is still typically good, but when it's not? I don't feel comfortable having an opinion, nor am I asked about it. This is the customer service industry. If any of your staff cant understand their job and role in the industry they should be trained properly. This is not a bottom of the barrel restaurant, the staff should reflect that along with the quality of food. *said employee has taken screenshots of my review and mockingly sent and showed it to people to the degree that it got back to me. So unprofessional, and immature. This reflects highly on the type of staff hired.

Came here for brunch since it's been on my list ti try for a while now. Ambiance is 10/10, I don't know if the back wall always looks like this but it was green with specks of fall foliage, super cute. They also had a decorative pumpkin on every table and decorated the entrance. They offered inside and outside eating and it looked like their patio was pet friendly. I was a little disappointed with the brunch options, I was craving like a veggie hash or maybe an eggs Benedict but the options were more meat focused like steak and eggs, chicken and waffles etc. So, I opted for the build your own breakfast and got homefries, eggs and a biscuit and my friend got the croque madame. I was brought out the wrong eggs, which I was fine with then the waitress realized after and brought out my eggs so I lucked out and got two eggs. The homefries were great. The biscuit is a hard pass. It was burnt and hard. All in all was pretty lackluster. I may come back to try the lunch options one day but brunch was a meh.

What an amazing find! My husband and I were traveling from Clearwater FL to CT for the holidays and googled locally owned restaurants near us, when we found this gem of a restaurant in a great location! We couldn't have been happier with the service given to us (Abby was our server) and we had the opportunity to speak with the owners Mother, Patty, who let us try your dill fries (yummmmm) Both of our meals were outstanding! My only personal preference would be a balsamic reduction on the Brussel sprouts (again, personal preference) ..they were still yummy ! My burger was cooked to perfection and the Super Rad Salad was a must try! The desserts ...just get them...ALL lol Ps....kudos to both Patty and Abby for making my husband a cup of coffee to go knowing we have a long drive ahead of us! We will be back again soon!

While they may be busy we have been sitting here with empty drinks for over 15 minutes.

I always enjoy the food but the service always lacks. The atmosphere is nice, the restaurant is clean, great outdoor space, but....service at the bar always lacks.

Enjoyed a fantastic meal. There was a wonderful happy hour menu, cocktails $8, some apps $10. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Our food was fresh and delicious! The gnocchi was an absolute fav! Indoor and outdoor seating is available.

I went here for Valentine's Day and it was really good. The service was great. The food was great I will be back. My girlfriends food unfortunately came out cold and they remade the dish and took great care of us. I love the atmosphere and it's far enough away that most students don't regularly go here so it's a great change of scenery from UF.

Should be a four or five star kind of place from the looks of it but I really found them to be something more like a three from me. A few snacks and a couple drinks for two was about a hundred bucks and for that kind of money most all anyone would expect better. I won't mention some of the misgivings because they were taken off the check or taken care of; however, shouldn't pork belly be some kind of crispy creamy zen and not just disgustingly creamy? Maybe I missed it, but was the cheese plate supposed to be French Nouvelle? Was silly smallish and whatever was special with its wine pairing just wasn't. It really should be billed as three cheese sample with glass of wine. ....but, it's a nice space with very friendly if apologetically painfully slow service and well crafted cocktails. I think If I'd ever do them again, I'd just hit the bar and order one of those "hand helds". lol. Looked on, jealously envy of others' foods. I did them so wrong.

I've waited to write this review because I kept giving this place chance after chance (seeing as it had so much potential) but after eating there several times, for lunch and brunch, I just have to accept that this place is subpar. Today I was served a burnt biscuit, dry fried chicken and hard bacon. I asked for it to be remade, but after 20 minutes, no check in, and no new chicken biscuit I gave up. The shrimp and grits were beyond bland, even with the sauce. The bloody Mary was watery as if it had been sitting at the bar for a while. Unfortunately, the food here is consistently under-flavored and overcooked. *the Brussel sprouts are tasty although a bit overcooked* Now, I will say, although they are painfully slow, the servers and other staff are incredibly kind and friendly! That is one part that this restaurant gets right.

Stopped in for lunch. Busy place but we got a table inside. Would have been nice to sit. Lauren was great and took good care of us. I had the local burger. Basic burger with bacon. Tasted pretty darn good. Sometimes you just need a basic burger. The dill fries were interesting Deb had the shrimp n grits. So good! The gravy was delicious. Really cool place to have a good meal and enjoy the Florida weather!

Eat Local! I went for lunch on Saturday with a friend and it did not disappoint. I haven't explored much of The Town of Tioga but was happy to try out Local Provisions. The atmosphere was chill, they have outdoor and indoor seating. We opted for outdoor seating because it was a beautiful 75-degree sunny day! Now to the good stuff! Food! For the appetizer, we had the honey balsamic brie which consisted of brie cheese caramelized with strawberries, grapes, and walnuts served with baguette. It was amazing there was a mixture of sweet, savory, and fruity. Definitely recommend! For our meals, I ordered the chicken caesar wrap and added bacon because bacon is always a good idea! For my side, I went for the dill fries. My friend had the tender club wrap. with sweet potato fries. Both meals were delicious and plentiful. We had to get a to-go box! Overall, great experience, atmosphere, and food! Other things to note; they serve lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. I would definitely like to come back to try their brunch!

A great spot for a casual lunch or dinner if you're in the area. We came here on a Sunday evening and it was very pleasant to sit outside. The service was good and they were knowledgeable about what was gluten free on the menu. Everyone in our party enjoyed their entrees. We tried the poke bowl (subbed salmon), shrimp curry, chicken marsala, and pork belly sandwich. The marsala was probably the least impressive but still good. The flavors of everything were tasty and the portion size was nice.

While in town visiting family and friends over the Fourth of July holiday, we met a few friends at…read moreTortillas for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We have been to this area before on previous trips, but Tortillas was a newly opened restaurant since our last visit. We were definitely excited to give it a try! The restaurant is located in a modern development, combining housing and retail. It appears that there is a lot of development and growth to this area, and it makes sense that restaurants and other businesses are moving in. There are several other businesses and shops in the complex, and Tortillas is near the front on the left. At the time we went, it was not very crowded. We had no trouble finding a parking spot close to the entrance. The complex has private parking all around the buildings. There are several tables located outside of the restaurant, so you could dine outdoors and bring your dog. However, we sat indoors for this visit. Indoors, there are both traditional tables, booths, high tops, and bar seating. I can see this being a great place to go by yourself or with a larger group. Our group was 7 total people - four adults, and three smaller children, and we were accommodated with no issues. The people we were meeting beat us to the restaurant, so our table was ready to go upon arrival. It was not too busy at the time, so seating would have been no issue if you walked right in. The menu here is not extensive, but they do still have a variety of dishes and unique items to the restaurant. They also have a full bar, so there are many drink options to indulge in. There were appetizers, entrees, and even desserts. I also saw a sign for weekday lunch specials. Chips and salsa were complimentary, so our table enjoyed a few baskets of those before our main entrees came. We ordered the Grilled Mexican Street Corn as an appetizer also, which I really enjoyed! Anytime this is on the menu at a Mexican-type restaurant, I usually will order it. It was still on the cob, and it came with four halves. The kids at the table enjoyed an order of the Queso Blanco to accompany their chips! I personally ordered the Quesadilla Burger, as it seemed like a unique offering. It truly was sooo good! The Quesadilla "bun" was loaded with cheese and veggies, which paired so nicely with the burger. It was a great size too, and I only at half at the restaurant. It came with a side, for which I opted for the Mexican Corn. This was served off the cob, and was similar to the appetizer in taste and dress. As you might figure, I love Mexican Corn in any form, so this was great for me! The kids we were with enjoyed their entrees, so if you are looking for a good place to take kids this would be a nice spot. They also had milk for them to drink. The staff was accommodating to them as well, which is always a plus. Our service this day was wonderful! All of the food came out accurately and quickly. The waitress we had was top-notch! Her name is escaping me, but despite being pregnant she was stellar and a joy to talk to. I hope all of the staff here are as wonderful as she was to us! The prices here are fair. Some of the items I would say are a little more on the pricier side for what they are. Others, such as the Fajitas, I feel are rather cheap (comparably speaking to other places similar I have been). However, I would say the value is there. As stated, they also have lunch specials if you are looking to try it out for a few dollars less. I was extremely satisfied with my first experience trying Tortillas in Newberry! We visit the North Central Florida area at least once a year, and I would definitely dine here again on a future trip. I would recommend giving this spot a try if you are in the area, or have been thinking about stopping.

It's a good value overall too, with complimentary chips and salsa (very good, not too spicy), and each meal comes with 1 side. Service was a little slow, but not too bad and it was the day of the Newberry Watermelon Festival, so it was packed overall. They even offered free water for our dog. It was only $27 before tip, so great value! There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating too. The bathrooms were very clean too. The service was very friendly too. Definitely worth checking out in a small town.

Like crescent roll dough, the seams didn't always stay together, and mine seemed like it could have used an extra minute in the oven. It came with potato chips (Ruffles?) and I chose the fruit salad (mostly grapes, some pineapple and honeydew.) We started with the Hungarian Mushroom Soup (special of the day), which was excellent, very dark and with a lot of earthy flavor. It came with a piece of the same bread for dipping.

The Unlimited Sip Club lets you get a free drink every two hours with unlimited refills during the visit that you're there. I believe the price of the subscription is normally about $11 a month, which is honestly a great deal if someone is in the area of a Panera bread and looking to frequently visit. Considering their drinks tend to cost in the $3 - $4 range per cup, this monthly subscription price is a great deal. Today I decided to try the Mango Citrus Charged Lemonade. This is a highly caffeinated lemonade drink with coffee extract and guarana. After taking a few sticks, I could immediately tell this is an incredibly caffeinated beverage. I looked up the stats online, and the large cup has over 350 mg of caffeine in a cup. This is about 2-3x as strong as the average cup of coffee, or potentially 5-10x as strong as a cup of tea. For someone looking to pull an all nighter, or needing a bolt of caffeine in the morning, I'd definitely recommend this drink. I've tried it a couple of times now, and it is a great drink that really amps you up. I think I'm going to be switching back to my normal cup of coffee on most days since I love the flavor of coffee. Overall, very solid option!

Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. You can tell the kitchen puts a lot of care into every dish. The inside (and outside) of the café is so cute and well-done -- bright, welcoming, and full of charm. We sat at the back table by the glass wall and loved the view. BUT... the service was a letdown. It's a seat-yourself place, which is fine, but we only saw our waitress three times: 1 When she brought our drinks 2 When she took our order 3 When she delivered our food That was it. No refills, no check, no follow-up -- while other tables (mostly locals) were getting consistent attention. We watched others getting drink refills, to-go boxes, and their checks brought to them... while we sat waiting and eventually had to go find someone ourselves. It definitely gave off a "locals only" vibe, and sadly, we felt overlooked. It was especially disappointing because we really wanted to love this place -- and we almost did. The food is , the atmosphere is beautiful, but the service just didn't match the quality of everything else. Would I recommend it? Yes -- for the food. Just be prepared that if you're not a regular, the experience might feel a bit cold. Hopefully, they work on that, because the place has serious potential!
