Great service. My wife loved the Lobster Roll. Salad was exceptional. I ordered the Stuffed Pork Chop and it was sub mediocre.

I feel this place is a great example of post recession America and our resurgent obsession with great, small food places. I last came through this town eight years ago to do a photo shoot and I could never imagine a restaurant like this would exist in this town. Passing through town and had some time to kill I decided to get dinner and found this place through yelp. I stopped at the bar got a beer and some food and was very happy with the whole experience. The bartender was great and the service was with a smile. The locals were friendly and drinking and everyone was having a good time and talking. The food was tasty and everything I would want it to be. On the menu they have a "bowl" option - pick a carb, pick up protein and pick a sauce. I chose steak, quinoa and New Orleans sauce. The steak was tender and juicy and the quinoa was perfectly cooked. The New Orleans sauce had celery tomato and a few pieces of sausage in it and unfortunately wasn't spicy but made a good complement to the quinoa. The hundred came with a side of fresh fruit: BlackBerries blueberries and strawberries. The only neg would be no draft beers. The bar is well stocked but I would've liked my beer fresh. This quaint restaurant has easily earned its place as my "go to" for a nice relaxing dinner. The feel is very homey - hardwood floors, wooden tables, and small rooms that seat a select number of guests. Don't go here thinking you are going to spread out and have tons of privacy. The caprese salad was a great starter - but dinner was nothing but wonderful. Salmon was the catch of the day. I commented to our server that I just had salmon at another restaurant this week, and she promised that her dad :) would make it special. That he did ! The salmon alone was grilled and delicious, but he topped it with some fresh lobster - yum. The sides of carrots, asparagus, and some potatoes with a little more lobster made this a treat indeed. The wine list is small but adequate, and all the pricing is reasonable. If you go when weather is nice, you'll see Local at its best. The bar is open to the outside and the patio is perfect for dinner or drinks - and they are dog friendly. I'll be back, as often as I can ! read more

First I would say it was my second time coming here. The first time service was good and only had drinks and appetizers. I thought I would try it again. Well this time the service wasn't good as the first. I had something twice floating in my water that look like a small bug. Secondly, it took them well over 45 minutes to bring two burgers to our table. It was several guest that came in after us and they got their food within 15-20 minutes. The place wasn't busy it was lunch time. I do say this place doesn't have a lot of diversity. I was hoping when we went back the second time we felt welcomed. We will not return. Also, we ordered burger double w/o cheese when we did get our food after waiting 45-50 minutes. It had to be sent back because it was a single with cheese. That just made things worst. I will not return. I hope the owner or whoever want to know customer feed back look into this review. Had a wonderful time. I got the fish taco and would have to say it was very tasty and one of the best tacos I have ever eaten. The homemade cabbage was an excellent compliment to a perfectly grilled fish with wonderful fried chips. My sister had the chicken salad on a perfect ciabatta roll with fresh fruit and pasta. She stated you would have to love vinegar to enjoy the pasta but not bad will definitely try it again. read more

Okay, first of all, ignore all those stupid negative reviews. I've been here for a snack/appetizer plus a drink AND now I've been here for dinner. This place is amazing. My roommate and I frequent downtown restaurants in Atlanta but this place is our new favorite! Tonight I got the Stacked Burger and my roommate got the turkey burger. I'm not a turkey burger person but I'd order that if I didn't love my burger so much! What's also to die for: their homemade chips, sweet potato fries, blue cheese sauce, au gratin potatoes, Blue Jack Chips, and their awesome wine selection (Napa Valley native‍). WORTH THE VISIT. Stopped in for lunch after seeing it on Yelp. I had the Grilled Cheese Special for $10, my husband had the single burger for $7. His burger with the in-house made chips looked really good for the price. My special came with soup and salad; the plus on the basic Caesar was the generous portion of shaved fresh parmesan, the spicy chicken soup was good for a cold winter's day, the plus for the Grilled Cheese was the Gouda... other than that it had what I'd guess was a slice of a "Kraft Single" and the very thick white bread seemed blandly generic. The atmosphere was nice, a comfortable industrial feel. I look forward to coming again in warm weather because they have large, garage style windows opening to the patio. Just moved to Hoschton recently, initially I didn't want to eat there, because we thought it was outside seating. Decided to give this place a try.. To my surprise, the food was gourmet quality professionally prepared, the staff was very friendly, and did I say how good the food was.. Great local spot which is best on a sunny cool day so you can enjoy the beautiful outdoor seating. I went there with a colleague for lunch and it was my first time. The menu was a nice variety with plenty of options. I got one of the bowls with a choice of grain, meat or shrimp and 3-4 different sauces to choose from. I've always loved coming to this place but today ruined it completely. Our sever asked us after our second round of drinks who was going to drive us home. Talk about a buzz kill first of all, but also, how inappropriate? We were celebrating a work accomplishment and had a sober driver. If we were hammering down liquor shots, that'd be one thing, but 2 Coronas? I'm all for being a responsible server and being mindful to not over serve someone but it was a Friday afternoon. She also made it a point to drop off cups of ice and say "here's these ya know to hydrate". Very rude and distasteful. We came to celebrate and be happy but she completely ruined the vibe. I believe her name was Kat. We were ready to leave before we even ordered our entrees. Would choose any restaurant over this one considering I've never been judged for having a corona with an appetizer at a restaurant ever in my 26 years on this earth. The atmosphere is awesome... my food was fine. The problem... My friend's meal came out wrong. By the time he actually got his proper order, I was done with my meal. I did share while we waited but it's a shame the kitchen somehow mixed up his order. The bartender/server seemed to care less about the mix up. Lovely little upscale cafe. They have indoor and patio seating which was nice for us traveling with our pooch. Friendly waitstaff and yummy food done well. I had the single stack bacon cheeseburger and it was the best burger I've had in a long time. Fresh and good meat to bread ratio. If you like lots of beef you can get double or triple stack meat. Hubby had one of their bowls with mushroom risotto, steak and Carolina sauce and was very happy. House made potato chips. Simple food done well with nice ambiance. There's an adorable bakery shop a couple doors down that's a good place to pick up something sweet for later. Win, win! read more

The location is nice for lunch as you can walk to the bakery/gelato shop, a nice plant nursery, gift store & the library. I had a nice lunch w/my 5 yr old, splitting our chicken fingers & house made chips. Unlike a previous review, I found the chips to be perfectly browned & crisp. I have visited Local Station many times. There is a huge variety of entrees to choose from and mixed drinks too. It gets crowded and the restaurant is small. It's a tiny location on a quiet street corner in a beautiful little town, all brick walls and gorgeous trees but it packs a flavor filled punch right in the sweet spot! Super friendly staff, a lot of local beer options and some good grubbin'. All at a very reasonable price! For the folk who don't like going out of their comfort zone or what they know, I'd say the prices average around Chilli's or T.G.I. Friday's. Except the food is not standard or generic!
