That said, the online ordering was easy and the food was ready to go and really well packaged. The food was just OK. The menu is super exciting so I was really disappointed that the tastiness didn't match the descriptions. Easily the best thing was the beef poutine. The sauce was flavorful and they were very generous with the helping of meat. However, the meal itself lacked depth. It actually took us a few days to finish it because the pouting quickly blew out our taste buds with the unrelenting richness of the dish. I got the salmon burger with an egg on top. It was tasty and the salmon was particularly good. The tsatziki sauce could have used more spice and was more yogurty than I prefer. For the kids, we got the big breast sandwich. It was incredibly plain and, although the chicken was moist and fresh, it lacked any real flavor. I'd avoid it unless you have a preference for very plain food. The sides were particularly disappointing. The french fries were pretty forgettable, and neither substantial enough to satisfy thick fry lovers nor thin enough to appeal to straw fry types. I ordered the chef's vegetables, which appeared to be steamed or boiled beets. I hate beets generally, but at least prepare them in a more exciting way! read more

Stopped in for lunch about a week or so ago. Pros: Incredibly friendly staff, was greeted and made to feel welcomed. I would say the decor was typical of a gastropub, it was not busy at all so fairly quiet and clean. Sizable portion size, left fulfilled Cons: Price was a bit higher than I anticipated just stopping in on a whim. This place offers outdoor seating. I was looking for a restaurant not too far from downtown Cleveland that was good for kids and offered outdoor seating. They practiced social distancing and provided hand sanitizer for customers. Every employee wore a mask and the staff was nice. We placed our orders and it was brought outside to us. The food was pretty good. The burgers were good size and tasty. I ordered a salmon BLT that was really delicious. I also enjoyed the four bean salad size. The fries...way too much salt for our liking. We didn't finish them. The wait was also very very long. When we arrived there were 2 other parties eating, but just us waiting for food. I know people may have ordered food for delivery or pick up, but our wait time was much longer than expected. The Philly steak was ok, not great. Friendly & welcoming staff. One of the, if not the BEST burger I've ever had (and fries). I'm pretty particular about my burgers and within seconds of biting into this burger I was saying "oh wow" audibly. One of the few places who knows how to cook medium rare and season the beef right. It was a big juicy, 1/2lb burger with a huge serving of home cut fries (I got mine well done and they were awesome too, so good). The lettuce is spring mix (yum). The bacon on the burger is thick and cooked with the right amount of light crisp. The bacon was also neatly folded on top on the burger so it wasn't sticking out all over the sides like all other burger joints. This is a minor detail that made a huge difference because the bacon was like another layer of meat rather than falling off the burger. Just a darn good burger all around. I live in Michigan 3 1/2 hours away and I'm already thinking about returning to Cleveland for this burger; this is my new favorite joint in the area. Well worth the price of only $13.50 for a huge burger and lots of fires! read more

Cute little gastropub style spot, built into an old drive-thru restaurant. Everything appears to be scratch-made including a variety of sandwiches, burgers, salads and pizza...they also have a decent amount of vegetarian options as well! On this day, I tried one of their signature burgers. The Murv burger was tasty with bacon, ham, cheese and a fried egg...but it was literally too big to fit in my mouth (due to the patty's thickness) and with all the delicious juices flowing out of it the bun began to disintegrate. This was my only qualm with the burger as the flavor was spot on. The fresh-cut fries were very tasty with just the right amount of seasoning. Will soon be a resident of this neighborhood, will most certainly be back to try other goodies. read more

We went there with three toddlers and three adults. They had high chairs! It's a small place, cozy and inviting. The food and chefs are visible while making your food. Everyone was personable. We all ordered something different and every thing we ordered was amazing. It's not normal table service or stuffy. They bring your food out on a platter and you clean up after yourself. At first glance we were not going to enter but they have a parking lot which is a major plus around that area. Boy our we glad we stopped. Awesome awesome burger I just got a plain burger and my hubby got a fancy big something burger (maybe Murv). This will be one of my go to burger places. My friends and I were trying to find a place to eat before heading downtown for a concert. One of my friends mentioned Local West and after looking it up on Yelp, I agreed that it would be a good place to check out! I knew before heading over that I wanted a BLT. Ok so I will just get to the point of why this place loses two stars (when the food is definitely 4 or 5 star worthy): There was NO AIR CONDITIONING!!! And to top it all off, it was over 90 degrees outside! I mean what restaurant doesn't have AC?! And I truly do not think it was broken or anything because then the staff would have apologized, given us a heads' up, etc. They acted like it was normal. So our entire meal felt like we were sitting in a sauna. It was so uncomfortable! I very rarely take two stars off for one inconvenience, but it just made the meal so un-enjoyable that I have to. Otherwise, the girl taking our orders was pleasant and helpful (also sweating a lot, poor thing). And the food was good! I really enjoyed my BLT. It's not technically on the menu, but I got the Salmon BLT without the salmon. The sandwich comes on Texas toast type bread. The sandwich was big and had a hearty portion of bacon on there! I also really enjoyed the fries and gobbled all of them up! All in all, definitely 4-5 star worthy for the food, but PLEASE get AC!!!! Impacted our experience way too much. I ordered the Super Mario Burger, medium, no lettuce tomato or onion. Dressing on the side, with fries. The bun had a nice crisp to it, even with delivery which isn't always the case at some places. Meat was cooked to order and exactly what I wanted. Mushrooms and cheese tasted very fresh. I wasn't sure I'd like the sauce but it came on the side. It's a unique taste, but one I liked enough that after trying it I slathered my sandwich with it. Fries were good, nothing extraordinary though. I'd like to try some of their other sides in the future. Everything was fresh and delicious, delivery was very fast, driver wore a mask and followed delivery instructions without issue. I've always passed by this place without a second thought. I'm glad I stopped by because this place is amazinggggg. Interior design is very modern and urban. I love the fact that they have recyclable bins and materials; very environment friendly. They also have a barrel water bin, so free water. Yay! Food was amazingggg. They're very well known for their burgers. I believe that they use local and organic ingredients for their food. Regardless, it is of high quality you can see and taste. Yum. Service was great as the cashier was honest with her suggestions since it was my first time coming here. She wanted to make sure we enjoyed the food and our time there. I went to Local West when they first opened then IDK what happened, they fell off my radar. But I've been back a couple times recently and I must say that I am a fan of their turkey burger $11. I like to add some of their coleslaw ($1 extra) to the burger to elevate the tastiness. The messy factor will increase though. I also like how if the burger comes with sauce they give it to you in a 4oz side so that you have some for your burger and some to dip your fries in if you so choose to do. Extra sides of sauce are $1.75, which might seem pricey, but I tried the avocado aioli and it was definitely worth it. I've also tried the 50 Shades of Spice $12 and I did really like the pork mix in the meat paired with the orange flavored cream cheese, my burger was just overcooked and that took away from the taste. I would definitely make sure to ask for my burgers to be prepared medium in the future. I'd like to try some other combos, but it's hard when I really like the turkey. Included with your burger you get a side. I think this makes it a great deal and a filling meal especially for using fresh ingredients on artisan sandwiches. (Hate those places that charge $15 for a burger then $5 extra for a side of fries). Now some sides do come with an up-charge, but still overall I don't think prices are ridiculous. I've tried the mac & cheese (+$2) and to be honest, it's decent, but I've had better. Now the sweet potato fries (+1) are fresh cut, none of that frozen processed stuff. Just be aware that they salt everything so you have to speak up if you don't want a sodium overload. I'm glad this place exists and I won't be forgetting about them any time soon! Our first visit to this counter service restaurant was good - the menu had a variety of sandwiches, salads and entrees available. We went for lunch and split the Super Mario burger (portabello, provolone) and the UB40 poutine (beef, red wine gravy) which was heavy but oh-so good. The burger came with fresh cut fries which were perfectly fried and seasoned. We arrived around 1pm, every inside table was filled and we ended up on the patio. They only have one umbrella for the 5-6 tables and that table was taken so we roasted in the direct sun...hopefully they can provide more shade soon. Wow! What a pleasure to find such amazing food in a casual and friendly place. We walked up from Edgewater beach where our vegetarian daughter had just done a triathlon and was ready to refuel. I came in here with a friend after spending some time at Edgewater. We wanted a casual place because we were a bit hot and sandy. We looked around on Yelp, and with me being vegan, they had several options for me: Win. So we came to Local West! Located in an old drive-thru of sorts, and in the midst of construction chaos, lies a restaurant everyone in Cleveland should support. The interior is very casual, a mixture of rustic and farm, and small-town feels. We were greeted by a friendly girl who took our order, remaining patient until we decided. I, obviously, went with the Very Vegan sandwich, my friend had the Voodoo. There was only one gentleman in the back running the kitchen, but he clearly is a mastermind. He was quick, the ingredients he uses are fresh, and the sides were BRILLIANT and far from the norm: The pickled tofu and veggie side---that was to die for. Literally, I want to eat it again right now. But do not worry, they have some traditional and well-desired sides for those of all food categories and diets. They have beer and wine, as well as lemonades, etc. The staff keeps the restaurant clean and fast paced. They will chat with you and they were seemingly great at remembering regulars, etc. It had such a great family, home-grown feel, with the flavors and menu items of eclectic culinary brilliance. As you can see, the sandwich was so delectable I could not "whip my phone out" quick enough to capture the full beauty/full sandwich. I had ordered the cajun chicken, and my male confrère had ordered the cubano sandwich (both with chicken noodle soups as the side). At first bite, I was not sold on my sandwich, however, the piquant flavor really kicked in mid sandwich.
