    cheesesteak and fries
    Hajir S.

This spot has some decent sandwiches, and it's nice that everything is quite fresh. Honestly not a bad place to grab a bite locally. However, it's not so great that I'm inclined to go out of my way, and the prices are higher than expected. I got a cheesesteak, but spicy like the voodoo sandwich, and just like the voodoo chicken sandwich it's good, but it's not great. It's spicy, but it's not so spicy that it's voodoo! The fries are good, but there's no beer on draft or anything like that. It's just hard to understand why in Cleveland you're paying $18 for a cheesesteak that costs $12 in NYC at a bodega that's open 24 hours a day...they also need to put more cheese on that cheesesteak Staff was kind, parking was available, and there is ample seating.

Quick service for a great lunch! The gyro was tasty and the fresh cut fries were perfect! A quaint little place with friendly service.

Food was a bit higher priced. They charged me 75 cents for pickles when I'm already paying 14 dollars for a burger... Mac and cheese was bussing I tried the lemonade and it was realllllllllyyy sour I had it water it down a lot. They don't offer refills for any drinks you buy there. Burgers were good but nothing to make me return again. Paid extra for salmon on salad and the salmon was small but flavors were good.

Chicken sandwich & Mac & Cheese

Chicken sandwich and Mac & cheese 10/10 highly recommend fresh food and ingredients. New favorite place wish I known about it earlier.

Looking at the menu board, you can see that this is not your standard deli. It's much more than just combinations of sliced meats and cheeses. You can get a gyro, chicken pizza, salmon burger, and sweet potato fries, among many other choices. When I see a restaurant like this, I seriously wish I lived closer. I decided to go with the Cubano. This is not some half assed ham and pickles sandwich. They take perfectly cooked pork and layer it with ham, pickles, and mustard, pressed between French bread. This is seriously the real deal. I have had sandwiches in Florida that were not as good as this. My wife normally shares at least a little bit of her meal with me. She didn't let me have any of her chicken sandwich. Fortunately, we both got fries. They are skin on, and the owner told us that they soak them overnight, which releases the starch and makes them crispier. There were an enormous number of fries, and we both ate all of them. And, that's not all. My wife got a salad with an amazing vinaigrette. And, the soup of the day was a potato soup. Every spoonful was savory, and I wish I had ordered more. We are only in Ohio for three days, and we came here on day two. We are definitely coming here on our last day. UPDATE: we came back on the way home, and I got a salmon burger. Unlike most salmon burgers, which consist of breading that was formed in front of a picture of a salmon, this one has a significant amount of salmon in it. It's served with an excellent tzatziki sauce. I also got a rich, tasty mac & cheese. There are many other things on the menu, and the soup selection rotates daily, so there are plenty of reasons to come back.

I've gone to Local West twice. Today I had the eggplant sandwich, fries, and a blackberry cider. The eggplant was soft but not mushy. The onion tomato herb topping was delicious. I enjoy their bread, the herbs mixed into the nooks and crannies of the bread Lets talk about the music I was there for about 40 minutes( I ate there) I dined to reggae, 90s and 2000s slow and upbeat jams, and even some 70 classics, I should have asked for somebody's Spotify list on the way out cause I'm Extra I will be back soon, I'm gonna try one of the chicken sandwiches .

First place here, cool vibes inside! Burger was great and good amount of fries that were also good. Big menu, would like to try the chicken next! Parking lot right beside made it stress free. You go up to counter and pay then sit and wait for food to be delivered. Not too long of a wait. Not a lot of people dining in but take out seemed busy. Would go again!

I ordered the Voodoo chicken sandwich and 4 beans side. Great quality ingredients that were made fresh. Everything tasted delicious. I would highly recommend!

DELICIOUS! My dad and I were recommended this place by a friend who said "it wouldn't disappoint" - and he was right!! These were some of the best sandwiches we've ever had! I got the Italian Beef Sandwich - it was good on its own, but when you dipped it in the au jus sauce - no words can describe how good this sandwich was! They also give you a good portion, so you will not leave this place hungry! My dad was craving a Cheesesteak and was so excited to try this one. It was a giant sandwich - filled to the brim with steak, topped with delicious cheese, and cooked to perfection... what more could you ask for? He loved this sandwich and ate every last crumb!! Both of our sandwiches came with hot, crispy fries - the perfect side to a perfect sandwich! We can't wait to come back and try more off of their menu, we heard the burgers are delicious too!

Don't know why they ask how I want my burger if it's gonna come out well anyways. Seems like they use a tasty blend of meat, but ours was overcooked. The owner was a little rude, but the cashier was nice.

I've been dining at Local West for 8+ years and it is one of my favorite spots to grab a burger. So glad to see that they've been able to survive the pandemic and unfortunate challenges other local restaurants have faced. The service is always quick considering that the food is made to order. During my most recent visit, I ordered the Blacon burger with sweet potato fries and it was satisfying. My only complaint is that the burger was cooked a little bit more than I expected but not to the point where I didn't enjoy it. Local West is a casual spot and I often dine inside or outside on the patio. Would definitely recommend Local West if you're looking for a casual spot with friendly service and great food!

This was the Big Breast sandwich with a side of fresh cut fries!

The service was wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious! The staff was very friendly and the food was also presented great!

The guy at the register was very helpful with the menu and suggestions. They were quick to make our food and we enjoyed it there. There fries were also very nice, crunchy, and spiced well. This is mostly a carry-out joint, but they have a couple of tables inside to eat at. Overall, nice place for lunch.

But whoever is grilling the burgers at the other location is who is keeping me coming back. Other than that, other location is farther from me, it's worth a drive. What I really like about this place is the fresh meat and the disclaimer about the meats and how it's prepare. Well, I didn't like this time around is at the meat lacked seasoning, and the meat did not have that crispy edge or the juiciness in comparison to the other location. Unfortunately, I will not be back to this location unless I'm really thirsty for a good burger. If this is your first time at this location, then yes it's delicious. It's one of the best burgers in Cleveland. If you visit the other location first you're definitely gonna be disappointed when you go to this one.

The Rowley Inn is located in a nice neighborhood (Tremont) across the street from the Christmas Story house. I had three meals there. The first, loaded pierogis, was the ultimate comfort dish. Pierogis with potato centers were covered in diced kielbasa, bacon (yes, bacon), and covered in cheddar cheese. Ahhhhh. The others at my table raved about the kielbasa and pierogi dish. They also liked the beer selection. How do you know you have a great find? You think about the meal long after it is consumed. Next meal- breakfast. I had the kielbasa and pierogi omelet. Need I say more? Finally, we came back a third time and I ordered the burger. No burger place (save Chuckbox in Tempe, AZ) can match the Rowley burger. The burger is actually seasoned and cooked to order. I had it medium rare. Sheer perfection. Typing this review makes me sad because I live far away from Cleveland. As service waned throughout my meal. The bacon wrapped tots are a MUST TRY. Fantastic! The steak frites was also very good. I've been to nice steak joints that don't know how to cook a steak medium that consistently throughout. My initial water glass was cracked, and a decent chip in the top almost cut my lip. I brought it to the servers attention and she replaced it. And, I also ordered an Arnold Palmer, which never came. If we were not looking for this place specifically, I know we would've driven right past it! It's a standalone little building and the only markings I saw outside was a little sign that said BAR. But it was 2 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon and there were several cars in the parking lot, which is a good sign. The inside is really tiny. There's a large U-shaped bar and about six tables. We looked in the menu and opted for their famous Smashburger. It is $14 and comes with fries. It is a double patty cheeseburger. I did not want a burger that big so I opted for just one Patty. They said that was no problem, but the price was still the same. I also got onion rings, which were $3 more. The food came out really fast and you could tell it came right out of the fryer because the french fries were super hot! This place is called a dive bar, and I guess it is - but on a Saturday afternoon, the place was filled with all kinds of people. On one side of us was a family with little kids. On the other side of us was a couple in their 20s. And then the rest of the place was filled with people from every age group. I have to say that the music they play there is fabulous! But back to the food. The burger was seasoned really well! It is a smash burger, but they're still able to make it crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Our server was really good. She did not hover, but she was around to see if you need anything. Depending on the vibe that you're looking for, if you want more of a bar vibe, you should go in the evening, but we were happy to just be in a relaxed little joint with good food. They opened up another Crowley's in Painesville so we will probably have to try that one too.
