Key West Grouper (1/2 of it )

Really enjoyed this place. We sat outside at the bar and enjoyed live music. Our bartender "Chaz" was very nice and chatted with the patrons. Dinner was excellent--we had the Key West Grouper along with the Blackened Ahi Tuna, both excellent! I would highly recommend a stop here.

We walked in a hour before closing and was welcomed warmly. I had the salmon and my boyfriend had the meatballs. Food was hot and fresh and was delicious. Wait staff were friendly and attentive.

Located in the heart of Fernandina Beach, I've never had an issue finding a spot for one at the outdoor bar. Food is absolutely delicious. I always get the Shrimp Nachos and Lady Luck (Pink Martini). Bartenders are friendly and quick.

This was one of the greatest restaurants experiences I have ever had. Ryan our server was incredible and just everything you would want in a person who engages with you at a restaurant. The rib bye with blue cheese crumbles was just the best steak I have had. The dessert key lime pie and the bread pudding did not disappoint.

My husband and I visited for the first time Fernandina island and we looked up places to eat on tiktok, we saw this place was recommended but didn't know what to expect. We sat outside and there was a live band playing, we decided to go with appetizers as we were planning on going around the island and didn't want to feel too full. We decided to try the blackened ahi tuna, mussels and crab cake. It was all SOOOO GOOD and for appetizers they were large enough to share and actually filled us up! The mussels had a spice kick that was about a medium and the blackened ahi tuna had a sweet sauce covered over. The crab cake was warm and not fried as typical crab cakes are sometimes. Overall - we had a great time and were so satisfied with the food and ambience! Definitely recommend if planning to find a nice, casual, feel good space to eat!

If I could give this place a 100/10 I would ! We were thoroughly impressed with all aspects of the visit from first walking in the door to leaving. It was nice to see the kitchen while we waited to eat. The palm trees outside are so inviting. The food was served very quick and to-order despite being so busy. Our server, Janelle, was so helpful in helping us design our dinner for my 10 yr old daughter and me. Despite her multiple tables, she always kept my water topped off regularly ! Every bite had delectable, unique flavors. The food stayed hot the whole meal. The music was a type of rock. We watched football on the tvs. Would highly recommend!!! And ask for Janelle !

First of all our server Janell was engaging and efficient. The restaurant was full on the Monday night before Christmas Eve. It was really cold outside so outdoor seating was not an option. There were five of us. All but one ordered a cocktail. The shock came when the bill arrived and we discovered that the Woodford Double Oaked Old Fashioned's were $22 each. Shame on us for not asking. Three of us had the grouper and it was phenomenal. Would definitely order again. Fish sandwich and seafood gumbo for another in our group was equally as good. Problem was the vegan in our group had no entree options. Had to settle for a side salad and hush puppies. The rest of us felt bad for him. Time for the Boat House to tweak its dinner options. So other than the cocktail price shock and the lack of Vegan options, this place is a winner.

Came here again and, sadly, it just didn't live up to last year's experience. The service was still great, staff were friendly and welcoming as always, but the food quality and flavor weren't what I remembered. Hoping it was just an off day, because I've really enjoyed it here in the past!

Here on a girls trip and this place was absolutely amazing. The live music and atmosphere outside was exactly what we were looking for. We sat at the outside bar - Dave was a top notch bartender. He was on his game - this place was slamming. The lemon drop martini was delicious and the hibiscus mule also good. The hush puppies yummy and crispy chicken crunch was omg - delicious. Everyone loved their food. The sword fish with the mushroom rice and a smoky red pepper sauce was literally the best sword fish I've ever had. I split the grouper dish as well and that was delicious too. Chris was our waiter and he was so friendly and attentive. If you are looking for great food, fun atmosphere, good music and fabulous drinks - this is your spot. Hope to be back

    Farmhouse mixed greens

It's a really nice place and we really enjoyed the first time we went. We ordered the Farmhouse mixed greens and the hanger steak. The chimichurri must've had chilies or something in it to make it more spicy than any chimichurri I've had in the past, but the hanger steak itself was tasty and done well. The salad on the other hand was one of the best salads I may have ever eaten! There was live music that was not too loud, and our server was fantastic, but sadly, I do not have his name. My photos are from this visit. We were so pleased with our food the first time, we went back again that weekend. I asked our server about a special they had, and she could not give me any kind of description that made any sense whatsoever, so I had to ask what looked like a manager and he explained it and showed me pictures. I ended up just ordering the salad again, but this time instead of the dressing being already mixed in, it was on the side, there was no Gorgonzola or bacon at all. When I finally got the server's attention, she took the salad back and told him to make it correctly. It took so long, when she came back to check to see if it was right, she noticed I still didn't get it yet. She went up and tried to get the kitchen to bring it out to me before my husband was finished eating, but he was done before I finally got it. My husband had ordered NC flounder and is was pretty good he thought. Unfortunately, I got no pictures of either of our meals the second time because it was so disjointed. They made no attempt to make up for my husband eating alone because mine was made incorrectly and took forever, then I had to eat alone because he was long done. I don't remember that server's name except she had St. Patrick's Day stickers on her face and streamers in her ponytails.

We asked for red sangria, and the bar tender told us to try the bar upstairs because she would have to make it and "it would be a little bit" before she could make the drinks. We tried upstairs and they didn't have it either. We came back down and told her they didn't have it either, she told us she would make it for us. She made her version of sangria. Which wasn't too bad. But we seemed to be an inconvenience overall. I don't really have a desire to return to this bar.

Duck Pinz is a blast! My family and I (three folks total for this visit) had a wonderful time here…read moreon a Friday afternoon. It's a cute location in a cute area; it had such a fun, authentic vibe outside and in. We came in and wanted to get straight to bowling, and the staff member who set us up was helpful and friendly. The alley area is pretty small, as it's only four lanes. But while I'm sure that could be a disappointment on a crowded night, we found the small size to be conducive to chatting with each other as we played. It's definitely different from standard bowling: you don't wear bowling shoes, the pins are attached to strings that pull them up (as opposed to freestanding pins at a standard alley), and you use smaller, hole-free balls. You also get three throws per frame as opposed to two. I'm not good at bowling, and I'm -- so far -- not good at the duck pin variant. But I didn't find it frustrating, just fun to learn and play! I managed no strikes and a whopping one spare, although I did find the advice posted on the walls helped me get a bit better. I think there is a type of person (someone who takes bowling seriously, or maybe too seriously) who wouldn't enjoy this, but it's really entertaining if you can go in with a good mindset. And not having to find shoes or bowling balls that fit is a huge plus. As far as timing, it took us about an hour and 15 minutes to play two full games; we didn't rush, but we didn't daddle, either. They charge by the hour or half hour, and we paid for our first hour then added a half hour to finish out a second game. A couple who came in about halfway through our visit managed to just squeeze in 10 frames in 30 minutes. We didn't explore the (intriguing) upstairs area, but I did get a fabulous drink -- the Saturn -- at the bar. While I felt like the bowling was a little pricey (not unreasonably priced, to be clear, just something I couldn't afford quite as often), I was surprised at the great value of the drink. Plus, it was delicious -- super well-balanced -- and the bartender was lovely. Even outside of the bowling fun, I could see this being a regular hangout for me if I lived in the area. But even though it's more than an hour from home for me, I'll absolutely take family and friends up to visit when I can. It's an awesome place to have in the region.
