Big space for seating so its a good place for larger parties. The prices are not bad and portions are good. Watch out for the spicy dishes! If you like it hot then try thier cooking! I tried thier chili verde burrito and I it was too hot foe me. Thier queso birria tacos are pretty good too. read more

We went with a friend and his son today. Everything was clean, bathrooms and table area. The waitress was on it quickly, offering the chips and salsa while we were looking things over. I knew what I wanted. Ordered the Super Burrito with Milanesa. I've learned you can tell a Mexican restaurant by their Milanesa. It is now my favorite. At any Mexican establishment. Just the unique flavors that is slightly different from Carne Asada. I paired it with a Mexican Coke. Outstanding. The entire staff was very pleasant. Everyone was very happy with their meals. I am planning on putting this in my top 5. read more

Terrible margarita, they use sake instead of tequila, and I couldn't taste ANY alcohol to the drink so it just ends up tasting like a $10 glass of sweet-and-sour mix. My combination plate was passable but mediocre. Relleno was just a breaded poblano with no filling. Cheese enchilada was tasty, but it's hard to mess those up. The chicken taco was also tasty but certainly quite mid. Sauces and salsa were good with warm fresh chips. Service was friendly but took me ten minutes to flag someone over for a beer since the margarita was so disappointing. read more

The food is phenomenal. I wish the service was better. No refills were offered. No one ever checked in on us during our meal. Like I felt robbed having to give a tip to someone that just brought a plate of food out to me. I would definitely order takeout from here. But I'm not sure I would come and do a dine in again. read more

Well I love Mexican food that's authentic. I love the the Birrea tacos dish. I've ordered something I didn't like one time it was mole chicken mole I guess it just was too spicy! It's just isn't my type of meal but the cocktails are awesome too read more

For starters, I've never seen such a cute restaurant. Very vibrant colors and decor! We were seated quickly and had our orders taken fairly quickly as well. The chips themselves are delicious, I couldn't stop eating them! The staff is super friendly and checked in on us a few times. Food was super filling and really authentic! Very nice clean restaurant just opened in Fortuna. Large spacious location the staff have tablets and headsets to communicate to the kitchen very impressed with the service. My third time being here at this wonderful restaurant, and this time I ordered the Californian burrito. I have to say it is the best burrito I had in my life. The service has always been good but expect it to be slightly slow on the weekends because they are very busy and quite popular. Overall everything has been great. read more

I only gave one star, and that was because to post my review it made me make a selection. I had been extremely eager to try the food and feel the atmosphere of this new place, untill I had my first encounter with the owner Juan Valdez. He was extremely rude, arrogant, and degrading towards me and a few other bystanders. There were a few more encounters and all of which he acted the same and worse. His demeanor, behavior, and exstream lack of respect or concern for others has made it so I will never support his restaurant by even stepping through the front door. Food, Flavor and half faked smiles on the employees is not all what it takes to have and run a successful small local business. This is just my opinion!!! read more

The customer service at the counter was great... but the food literally had no salt... it was super bland and the meat was very dry no salsa either (I didn't ask for any so probably my fault).. we had to use crushed pork rinds to suffice since their was absolutely no flavor... we are staying in a hotel so we really didn't have a choice... wasn't going to leave a review because we don't live here and it doesn't matter... but I feel like the locals should know what's up ‍. read more

Mole conessuier here, to date this is the best mole in Humboldt county ! Classic dark color with perfect traditional flavor of spicy choclocate sweet savory goodness. So far best I've found! read more

The veggie burrito is a good option for a vegan--just make sure you ask for corn tortillas, because the flour tortillas are cooked in lard--the red salsa is delicious. Service is thorough and the atmosphere is pleasant and airy. read more

Very bland food, no salt or marinade on the meat. Table service is bad and they spend all their time cleaning. They also got our order wrong and missed the guacamole and shrimp. This restaurant food does not provide an overall good experience and can ruin your mood. read more

My husband and I went for our Anniversary for dinner. Service was prompt. Food was fresh, hot, and fast. They checked on us maybe one too many times, but the food certainly made up for it. We had the Chile Verde dinner, Chicken Street Tacos, Quesabirria Tacos and the California Burrito. It was so good. I am a Chile Verde snob and I would comfortably say this is the best I have had here locally since La Chaparrita closed in Eureka. Plus they make their own tortillas. I ordered over the phone and it was very smooth to include the employee was very nice. I arrived in 15 minutes and my order was ready. The restaurant to include the bathroom was very clean. I had the tacos with asada, cilantro, lime and salsa. The tacos were delicious!!! read more

Service was good. Rice and beans served with the meals was pretty bland. Booth seats were broken down, so when the people behind us moved, we were shoved forward. Seats also had tears that had been sort of taped over, but were still in rough shape. It's a former Chinese restaurant that's been somewhat decorated with a Mexican theme. Locha's is spot on!! Great food, excellent service, local and family owned. I have had so many different dishes there. ALL were excellent. Clean restaurant, clean bathrooms. Great prices. Can't say a bad word about this place's food. Not real happy about the margaritas. Their taste was excellent but they were very short on alcohol. Either that or they use some kind of substitute for tequila but either way it just wasn't like a regular margarita. But that certainly is not a dealbreaker to come to this place it's awesome. read more
