This is not the place I was looking for when I went to Granite Falls. There used to be a great place here. When I walked in I was met with the smell of cheap Eastern food. Kind of a gross curry smell. They seem to be a cigarette mini mart. I think advertising"milkshakes" is over the top given what they offer here. The store looks clean, the owners are very nice, and I'm glad they sell ethanol free gasoline now. But the breakfast sandwiches are the worst I've ever had and the toilet can't handle toilet paper which is not a good combination read more

Review a convenience store? Yes. Because I, like many other Seattleites hike a lot, and I, like so many Ginko biloba addicts forget things more like a hobby than a habit. So as I was heading into the park for a hike (realizing I had forgotten several key items--coffee included) and decided to stop. They had standard coffee and snacks, but also an assortment of cheaply-prices gloves that I perused (and purchased) as well as Forest passes for sale, which was also good because mine had expired several months ago. The clerk was a nice guy who was incredibly helpful and had reminded me about pass-parking (and saved me from a ticket!). It's a great store to have around for last-minute and forgotten items. Lochsloy Store - the front of the store - Convenience Stores Near Me - Lake Stevens, Washington

Adding to my other review. Just wanted to point out this place used to be great! I lived in the neighborhood across the street in what was called "Lochaven". Moved there in 4th grade and moved when I was 18. Myself and the other local neighborhood kids would frequent this store several times a day during the summer. Used to be ran by an all woman staff when I lived there growing up. I think around when I was in High School it was purchased by the new CHEAP Indian owners! They fired all the woman workers and brought in their own staff. As another review mentions they raised the rent for the small coffee stand in the corner of the parking lot so they had to move next door to the Produce Stand parking lot. They removed the OutHouses in the parking lot as well that truckers/hikers/campers passing through would quickly pull in to use. I'm guessing they didn't want to pay the extra money for sanitization to come clean them out. This store used to be AMAZING! The woman who worked here when I was a kid growing up were always super nice and helpful. They had a giant tub of gummy worms behind the counter that they would fill a bag up for like $3 for us. They made fresh burger orders with fresh fries and fresh house made shakes, which were AMAZING! They might still make orders since they have a grill but I'm 100% certain the quality will NOT BE THE SAME! Now it's a SHIT HOLE! The hot food is terrible and sits there for hours and gets stale and hard under the heating lights. I've heard from friends that still live in the area that they've gone in and seen them pull leftover hot food out of the fridge and then reheat it and put it back into the hot case to resell. They now have one of the cheap milkshake machines that makes a "milkshake" for you in a cup. It's cheap and doesn't taste like actual ice cream and gives me the shits! Was great when they made them themselves. They're CHEAPSKATES, CHEAPSKATES, CHEAPSKATES!! Any way to make extra money and any way to cut corners to save a penny they will! I believe they still sell Trail Passes and Hunting and Fishing passes/licenses but I'm not sure. If not then this place is an ABSOLUTE NO GO! I'm sure there's other places in the area that sell those too anyhow. By the way there is literally another gas/convenience store a few minutes up the road towards Granite Falls on the corner of HWY 92 and Getchell Road, called Getchell Station. It has everything Lochsloy has plus more... without the nasty attitude staff, overpricing and gross day old food! Getchell Station has more hot food options and is 100X better quality! Fresh made daily not reheated from the following day! The parking lot is always PACKED with truckers stopping for gas and food, while Lochsloy hardly has anyone in the parking lot anymore especially the truckers who used to stop daily. Both stores are open 24 hours a day as well. Everyone I know in the area will drive the extra couple minutes to Getchell Station rather than going to Lochsloy! Sad to see what happened to this once thriving little store. read more

For a convenience store, I was very impressed. The ladies at the front were very nice and sociable. The food all looked amazing. They have kielbasas, rodeo burgers, scrambles, and chicken strips. Bomb! And of course you can buy a pass for the northwest national forest. Good stuff. read more

I used to love this sotre the many changes after its gone through the years has made it a slightly betre store to go to but the survice is too friendly and at times the do not change ther gas prices acordingly the hot food has change from the old style and at times the food would be left form the previous 4 hours or more they do have good survice but try too hard to earn loyal costumersand make conversation just watched what you get taxed on they sell recreation passes and thats all i recommend to get and the usal gastation snacks are good but just 2 miles up you have awesome choices and yes i live next to this store all the old workers left for better places read more

Sadly, with the turnover in management and ownership in the recent years some things that the locals appreciated have suffered. Gone is the espresso stand; new owners raised the rent on that tiny section of potholed parking lot, so it moved next door. Gone are the outhouses; better go in the store and spend money for the privilege of peeing before you hit the road. Gone is any attention to detail; at 2 p.m. on a rainy Sunday afternoon with the store empty and my order the only one on the grill, they still messed it up and even overcharged me. Admittedly, the floor and rugs were very clean and the store has an overall look of organization to its shelves. Hopefully they will continue to offer Forest parking passes for the 2014 summer season and not discontinue this service. read more
