Stacy is great. I've done two drop-in classes; the classes have been a challenging nice change of pace from the usual gym & fitness routine

I love Hotworx- just not thrilled with this location. The Customer Service needs much improvement…read more The classes and layout are mostly the same at every location, so it is important to offer great customer service ! Which they don't. I find that the location does not have the presence of employees, as much as the other hotworx locations do.I feel this location falls short

I have been a member for a 1-1/2 yrs and the customer service is horrible. When there is staff…read morethere they are great and are always cleaning and greeting customers. The classes are self ran and are a good workout. BUT thats it, The selection of products is horrible compared to other locations. And when I have wanted to use my "rewards" for purchases it takes a month or more. Because they don't carry any items, they have to order it and then you wait for the item to come, then have to track someone done to find out if it was delivered. I had this happen to me two months ago and now I'm still in the process of trying to order a cup lol. The rewards are free money in a way and you earn them by working out over a certain period of time. You're only allowed to use them at your home location to purchase items. When you leave a message on their voicemail, they get back to you three weeks later, you can't message them on Instagram because they don't accept messages, etc. its a fight that I don't want to fight anymore.... I have two other choices. They're actually closer to my house that I think I will be joining and canceling my membership with this location. It is just sad cuz I have tried and since I have choices they helped make my choice for me.

I came for the Living Social deal, I stayed for the results…read more My sister and I originally signed up at Next Level with the intention of only going until our Living Social deal expired. A couple months later, we're still here, and plan to be for a while. At first, I was going to use CrossFit to supplement my regular gym work outs. Now it's the other way around, because at NLT, you get your workout and then some. I'm not going to lie. I dread pulling into the parking lot every morning and having to look forward to absolute hell for 20-30 minutes, depending on the WOD (workout of the day. Yeah, there are a ton of acronyms you'll soon become well familiar with). It's like they pulled some of these workouts straight out of the Guantanamo Bay handbook. But when you finally clock in at the end of that last rep or run, there's that intense feeling of accomplishment that makes all the pain worth it. NLT is a nice-sized, fully-equipped facility located in a warehouse set in some obscure industrial strip in Lemont. You have all the fun CrossFit toys at your disposal to play with--tractor tires, climbing ropes, squat racks, gymastic rings, etc. The staff is awesome, qualified, and very knowledgeable and will not hesitate to push you harder or school you on proper form or offer words of praise where it's due. We work out at the 9am class with Chris, the owner, who has a background in professional baseball. Real cool guy. The other members make the workouts more bearable as well. You experience a higher level of cameraderie here than at other gyms, because at the end of the WODs, you all accomplished it collectively as a group, even if you may be competing for time or reps. Like I said earlier, I stayed for the results. I already lost a few pounds. I'm starting to see the outline of the six-pack I haven't seen in a couple years, long lost behind a layer of beer and wings. I have much more strength and energy, and my times are improving--I used to trail the pack, now I'm at the middle using standard weights. Don't be discouraged by the intensity of CrossFit--the beauty of NLT is they accommodate all levels of fitness. The core age of the class seems to be 20s and 30s, but there are a good amount of high school kids and middle-aged members as well. Next Level Training will kick your ass. And you will love it.

Well, never wrote a yelp review in my life, but felt I needed to today. Have been a member of this…read morelocation for 5+ years and have attend 350+ classes. Being Jewish, I asked a front desk staff if they could put a Menorah up since they were putting a Christmas tree up. The answer immediately was, "I don't think so". I asked her if she would ask Amy-the owner if this was possible. The next day when I came in for my workout, the same front desk person said she asked Amy and the answer was no-without any explanation. I sent Amy three emails over the next several weeks to discuss and she never returned any of them. I hurt my back last month and have not been able to workout. I sent Amy an email asking her if I can talk to get about crediting me for the month I missed. Guess what, she never returned me email ‍. Also, I have tried to call the studio several times over the last few days and no one answers the phone. Very disappointing because I like all the trainers, the workouts, and the people I work out with.

I really enjoy orange theory, however I had a ridiculous experience with this Naperville location…read more I've been a member at multiple locations at different times for close to 3 years. I always came back because I love the gym and their programs. Here's my full story so that hopefully management flags it and I can get some support because they refused to work with me: Todays January 5th. I joined this year and took advantage of a 3 month promo of returning members $50 for 3 months. I used all 3 months and understood there was a 30 day cancellation policy. I went in specifically more than 30 days in advance to fill out my cancellation form because I joined another program that was more affordable. December 3rd I went in and spoke with a woman who was helpful, and shouldn't be named in this issue, to specifically sign a cancellation form with enough time to respect their policy. She told me that I may as well also fill out a freeze form while I was in there, so that it's covered as well as an option if I changed my mind before cancellation on January 4th. I thought that was fine but was in there communicated obviously that I was cancelling. Why would I come in to freeze it, and also be signing a termination contract? That wouldn't make sense. I called last week twice, only got a voicemail both times, and left messages both times to make sure my cancellation form was processed and that I didn't change my mind. Again, when in there I specifically said I was cancelling and filled out that form, while only filling the extra freeze form so it was available if I changed my mind. This Monday I called for a third time and got a man that seemed somewhat personally upset about me leaving the gym. He said he couldn't find either of my forms and that "he'd just have to take my word for it," but insisted he'd send both forms again electronically and to back date it to when I cancelled in December. He said he'd freeze my account while he discussed this with management so he could find out what to do so I wouldn't be charged January 4th. Obviously implied by the paragraphs above I was charged the full $170 yesterday. Today the 5th I got a call back from Veronica telling me that they would not honor the cancellation form OR freeze form because they were waiting to hear my final "decision" as if I'm still up in the air as a potential client after this length of effort to cancel properly, get told to fill a freeze in case, clarify I'm cancelling, call multiple times to do their job knowing this would happen and leave two voice messages, call again Monday to find out all my stuff was lost and he'd figure it out, then get a call after they got their money saying they'll be honoring neither form. The hell is wrong with this gym and why do I feel like I had to cover myself 5 times over, while doing their job and calling to make sure they did what they said they'd be doing anyway, just to be called a day after they took money anyway? This location scammed me. I have absolutely no idea how anybody cancels a gym membership here. Their final staff members I talked to were extremely firm and dismissive with a black and white "no" you're being charged as if their job was on the line and my payment personally was their money. I asked if there was anybody else I could talk to at all and the woman on the phone said no "she talks to the owner often," and asked if I was allowed to dispute the charge on my end. I'll never join Orange theory again after this handcuffing to swindle less than $200 and staff members acting like they'll live and die by one month of my membership. I was asked to fill out two cancellation forms, the hell.
