I asked for some supplies to clean him up with (I didn't ask them to clean him for me just like a dab of shampoo and a spray bottle or something to clean it up) and after some begging they gave me 5 sheets of paper towel... Mind you I wasn't just coming off the street I had been with them for 2 years, called ahead and paid over $200 for medicine today. If you know anything about cats they are absolute clean freaks and already stressed out enough being outside of the house and these people couldn't care in the slightest that he's covered in his own filth. Then they had the audacity to say well if you had an exam appointment we'd be happy to clean him up for you! Real good that does me plus I wasn't even asking them to clean him up I had zero problem doing it myself. If that doesn't scream "I don't care about your animals" then I don't know what does. Front office has always been rude and demeaning but the saving grace has always been that the actual vet was nice and knowledgeable. Not looking forward to vet shopping but I'll be damned if I ever go back here.

This time my cat wasn't feeling well and they actually were able to get me in for an appointment the next day. The space is pleasant in the waiting room. The exam room we went to was by a big window and my cat isn't really a window loitering type, but the bird feeder outside with lots of birds were of interest. Lol Both the vet tech and the vet were great. At my request, they even did all the tests in the exam room. They offered a game plan and weren't pressuring me to do more extensive tests. I'll definitely be back when I need my cats to get examined. I feel comfortable taking them to Zippivet for their vet care.

My dog had several surgeries with her and Dr. Guzman. We were referred for cancer treatment to another vet but Deep Roots has always been our home vet. Unfortunately, my dog Leo passed away and the Deep Roots team sent me his paw prints and his nose print with a sympathy card, it touched my heart. They gave us some antibiotics and told us everything will be fine. On our last visit to them, they stated that they marked their fecal test as done, but said they must have "misplaced it" and that the test was never done. Rest in peace my little Mika :( Additionally, the wait times here are insanely long, no matter how long you have been a patient. Multiple times, over the last 10 years or so, my pet and I have had to wait well over an hour to be seen. Having an appointment does not matter to these people. I wrote a 1 star review in the past and the called my MOTHER. Their reasoning for calling my mother was that she is the account owner for our pets, stating they know their patients so well that they know who is leaving a review. My mother was harassed by these people for days, receiving at least 3 phone calls from someone that works here regarding MY review. They lied and said my mother was happy with their services. My mother's name is on the account, however I am the one that takes our pets to their appointments. If they know us so well, they should have known that my mother is not the one who takes them to the vet. It is extremely unprofessional to harass my mother regarding MY review. My mother was NOT happy with their services either. This establishment sent an urgent letter to MY SISTER, not OUR address, to fire us as a client, even though we had already cancelled everything with them and told them we would not be returning. They have admitted that they forgot about my pets and me while we were sitting right in their lobby. Leave a bad review and they'll call your mom. What a horrible, horrible experience. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE. They will report and remove your Google review if you leave a 1 star.

But, I do tell people not to come to this office, and it's only fair I note why. I brought my dog in for chronic diarrhea. They gave me medication for him and did not test him further, even though he was an older dog. In the few months following, he was still getting bouts of diarrhea. I brought him in on a Friday afternoon. They took SIX x-rays of my dog. They told me that they could see some mild swelling, but weren't sure what it was. They told me I would need to book with their specialist on Monday. That evening, they called me and let me know that they were PRETTY sure my dog did not have cancer and that he would be okay to wait out Monday's appointment. The next day, my dog is acting strange but with reassurance from the vet-- I didn't trust my gut. That night, be projectile diarrheas blood all over the balcony. I rush him to an emergency vet. I get told my dog is riddled with cancer and that they're doing everything they can to keep him comfortable. They tell me I will have to learn how to IV him for his comfort. But, they soon realize that the masses on his kidneys had ruptured and the fluid had reached his lungs. $7k later, I lost my soul dog. I can't help but think that if Republic was more urgent or recommended me to go to an emergency vet Friday afternoon, I would've been able to have at least a few more months with him. For this, I can never forgive this practice or recommend them to anyone.
