They had a taco special for lunch that I got with beef and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. I will definitely go back.

Food was not good, bad service I ordered the nacho fries and the fries were not cooked and it was on a bed add nacho chips.

The enchiladas suizas description sounded great, but didn't come close to how really good this was. The creamy cheesy enchiladas were amazing offset by the tart verde sauce, but the star of the show was the ¡pork! I expected it to be part of the verde sauce, but it was just placed on top of everything. Huge chunks of perfectly seasoned and roasted carnitas! Enough for a meal by themselves. Soooo good. I would have liked more of the verde sauce, but still gets 5 stars! read more

It's called El Burrito Feliz now. Recently, they went through a redo, with new furniture and motif. It was more cheerful before the redo. The wait staff seemed happier before, too. Before all this, I would have given it 5 stars, for sure. Because of the new furniture, my wife's feet no longer reach the floor. It's kind of dark in their now because they painted all the windows. The prices went up, which would be okay if the overall experience and food quality went up, but those did not. But still, it's all good, just not as good as it used to be; so, I had to remove stars. Sadly, we stopped going there. I hope they find their way back to greatness. read more

The food was horrible, yet we tried it again, even worse the second time!! We received our bill for 2 quesadillas with zero cheese, sloppily put together and no flavor, and a steak burrito that had almost no cheese sauce on top and the steak tasted like charcoal, and after the server brought our bill he then came back and charged us MORE! Worst food around, wouldn't feed it to my dog! And service....crap! read more

We have tried this place twice, and both times our orders were so incorrect, that we had to send them back for completely new ones. They apologized and brought new food out quickly, but it is a hassle for certain. The servers (we have had 2 different ones) were very young and too inexperienced for Loco Burrito's HUGE menu. My husband goes here occasionally for lunch, but last night was my first time eating at Loco Burrito. It's a decent place, nothing spectacular. Our server, Kira, was lovely and helpful. She steered my husband to a shrimp dish which he enjoyed. Both of our meals were too salty, but that's not unusual for midwestern restaurants. The margaritas are overpriced, particularly since they are made with pre-fab mix. The restaurant has a full bar, so surely they could manage a made-from-scratch margarita. I will probably go back for lunch, but not dinner. read more

Avoid if you like flavor and effort put into your food. The service was okay and they fixed a major mistake on one of our orders very quickly. But really, god awful food. Also, $4 for a GD Corona. $7 for any Lunch special but not even worth half that. Cannot recommend as a lover of Mexican food. Go to Taco Bell down the street if you need a taco that bad. read more

I live locally, and they do have some decent items, but I've given them a number of tries on cooking steak, and they only know well done rubber. Don't expect too much. If you go in with low expectations, you're right on track, and things could only get better. read more

I have started eating at el burrito loco locations since they first built on east Beltline displacing One of my favorite martini bars the bistro Bella vita ( well they still have a great spot downtown. The food at this location was excellent but as happens so often they slipped, quality portion size and service all tanked. So I started eating at several of the other locations including the alpine location and just this past week I visited the FREMONT location. I am again happy with loco burrito. First off I had the tamales....they tend to be my benchmark of good mex. while not the greatest, they were well made, very large, and the sauce was e cel lent. A little heavy on the masa nut would rather have that than a skinny anorexic tamale. The food after that improved...I ordered everything a la carte. The burrito was excellent as were the chicken ecchiladas...the chicken was lean tender not dry and well portioned. I happened to be there on a Tuesday where they have .99 cent hard and soft tacos...I took 2 of each in chicken and beef and they were by far the best .99 tacos I have ever had. Also the chorizo and cheese appetizer fantastic. And the salsa verde...which I tend apply over liberally to too many dishes- was excellent A few negatives.... Overall the spice factor needs to be ramped up across the board.... The salsa that came with the chips ( which were good) was water blandNess. I expect that this lack of spice is typical outside of Mexican vilage area in GR as need to dull it down for local palates. Everything is claimed to be made from scratch on site so in the future I will just ask to spice it up. The tequila selection was extremely limited for a Mexican joint.....and would hope to get a decent pour when spending $10.00 a shot. Based on how meticulous it was measured expect the bartender was a chemistry major. Speaking of the bartender I will spare adding her name but this individual had neither sampled 95% of the menu nor frankly knew the difference between an enchilada and a burrito....so the staff needs training on what they sell and serve. They did carry Bohemia, my favorite Mexican brew so thumbs up for that! And note to the manager, break down and shell out the $20 for a plastic toilet seat. The fiberboard seat which was falling apart is a haven for germs and really downgrades what was otherwise a very clean and tidy washroom facility Bottom line, I am back to being a burrito loco fan - at least in FREMONT. I won't be doing my drinking there- at least not my tequila drinking- but will most definitely be back for some great takeout read more

Watch your bill, Kids meal, $5.50... kids drink 2.49, kids substitute beans and rice for fries $2.49. You want fajitas? 12.50.. comes with 1 TSP guacamole, 1 Table spoon of Pico and 1 full head of lettuce. Want more toppings? .99 for 1/4 cup Pico, 2.99 3 table spoons of guacamole. We had a $5.50 drink and purchased the daily specials with 1 child who let their meal go cold on the table. $50 meal. I felt like I was looking at a cell phone bill not a simple food bill. The sad part is there was ZERO talk about extra fees for substitutions. We used to come here once a week. But this nickle and dimming us has happened before. Now we visit 1 time per month. After this epic overcharge (that I disputed and was told kids eat for $10), I will be visiting 1 time every 6 months. If an Apple-bees comes to town this place is screwed. Too bad, the food is better than most in Fremont, but for $50 I could have went to burrito loco in GR and had drinks as well. read more
