These guys brought the bus to us in the rain and treated us so well during a crazy bachelorette party in the pouring rain! They were so kind and helpful to make the night perfect!!

What should have been a fun day playing tourist in our own city turned into a perfect example of…read morewhy visitors leave Miami frustrated. We showed up at 9:10 AM, exactly as instructed, only to be told our booking had been moved to 11:30 AM without any notice whatsoever. No email. No call. Nothing. Just "oh yeah, it was changed." From there, it was 30 minutes of standing around, being sent back and forth between employees who clearly had no idea what was going on. Eventually, we were told we'd receive a refund and a free boat tour as compensation for the inconvenience. Sounds reasonable, right? Except when they went to process it, they tried to charge the boat tour tickets against the refund credit -- essentially undoing the compensation they just promised. If we hadn't been paying attention, we would have been charged anyway. Luckily, we caught it, demanded clarity, and only then did they issue a full refund and actually give us the boat tour tickets for free like they said they would in the first place. The boat tour itself (celebrity homes) was fine -- nothing special -- but that's not the point. We're locals who intentionally tried to spend the day as tourists, and this experience made it painfully clear how miserable this must be for out-of-towners who don't know better. Disorganized, misleading, and careless with customers' time and money. Miami deserves better than operations like this -- and tourists definitely do.

This is by far the best way to tour Miami! We did another…read moretour, but wasn't pleased so we booked this one for another day. We thoroughly enjoyed this one, especially with Will, the narrator of the tour. He gave grear info, made some really good stops and took us to a bakery where we enjoyed some really good Cuban coffee and got some treats that were actually priced reasonably. He also took us to take some pictures of the skyline, which was beautiful. Will was exceptionally funny, friendly and knowledgeable the entire ride. He really made the tour worth it. The bus is air conditioned, which was huge for us because we had already been on that other scorching bus the day before with no guided tour. My husband loves the information with the tour because he loves to learn about the history. I would recommend this tour to everyone!!!

If you want to get around Miami and save money on ride shares and taxis this is the way to go…read more With that being said only book this if you have most of the day to devote to the experience. Traffic in Miami can be busy and something a few miles away could take 20 minutes to travel to so choose your stops wisely. We started the trip at the bayside shopping area. The salesman explained each stop so we had a plan before getting on the bus. The buses were packed and we had to sit downstairs with no air conditioning to go to the first stop. Luckily it only took about 10 minutes. We got off by the beach and enjoyed walking along the boardwalk then spending a half hour on the beach before finishing our walk to the second stop. They say the buses come every 30 minutes and we always seemed to wait 15 or 20 minutes before the bus came. Stops were easy to find with little red signs. We then took the bus to little Havana and enjoyed lunch there. It was fun to drive by the other locations but with the timing we did not have enough time to get off and explore to be in the right area around lunch. They give you headsets that let you listen to facts and information about Miami. Overall the experience is what you make it.

Took the From Miami: Everglades Airboat, Wildlife Show, and Roundtrip Bus tour…read more This is one of the more affordable options for this activity, with 2 departure points & 2 departure times depending on day, but isn't very well organized. The airboat tour was decent but we were told to listen out for announcements for the animal show & bus departure, which neither of us heard. At least one other group didn't hear the animal show announcement too. There was supposed to be a complimentary professional airboat photo, but ours got lost. No estimated time of departure was given & we didn't see some people on the bus on the way back. The driver didn't seem to do a headcount before leaving. Granted, he did warn us that we would be left behind if we weren't there when the bus left, but a headcount & a short wait for stragglers are pretty standard tour practices. The lights on the bus didn't work & the bus seemed a bit old too.

TLDR tips: The tour will be longer than you expect…read moreThey will upsell you on everything (do not buy VIP, book online) Expect to pay in cash before the tour Expect to be harassed for tips BE PUNCTUAL or be left behind This is NOT an ACCESSIBLE tour option Your tour depends completely upon your tour guide - no consistency We booked online last night for just the Miami city tour this morning - it was supposed to be $29 and to pay by card. I'm so glad we booked online because it seems like if you book in person they upsell you like crazy. I saw people with "VIP" stickers - VIP means nothing. At best dishonest and at worst, predatory. Once you book they tell you that you'll need to pay in person a half hour before your trip, which for us was 8:30. Once we paid, we were on the bus and moving AT 9 am, so make sure you are punctual. When we arrived to pay 8:30 am, the people at the counter were annoyed that we were there (we must have interrupted their social hour) and told us at their systems were down so we HAD to pay by cash. Ok, sure. It ended up being $65 instead of $58. Keep in mind that every driver and tour guide you have with this company will be aggressively nudging you for tips. The bus seats are very dirty and the stairs are narrow as heck. I saw this tour was advertised as completely accessible. This is not true. If you are a wheelchair user, do not book this tour. The ride wasn't very educational (you can learn more by Wikipedia), but it would have cost us more in car rental or Ubers to explore the city ourselves, so it gains one star for that. The tour guide was also pausing his "tour" to yell at every single person who looked to be a tourist that we were on a tour and they should join us. We were told this tour would be 2.5 hours with an hour lunch break. We were at the office at 8:30 to check in like they requested, and didn't get back to our starting point until 1:30 pm. The only way we could've gotten back earlier would've been to ditch the bus and get an uber or Lyft. At about 11 am, the driver and tour guide dropped us at a glorified bus station (fake turf, 2 toilets, 2 food trucks, a bar, and cornhole) for over an hour, after promising we'd be gone in a half hour and vaguely threatening us to be on time. We did not leave that bus station until 12:30. I called the main office twice to check where our bus was and if they were even still coming to pick us up. An hour and a half wait is insane especially when you expect a half hour. We also did not purchase a boat tour (thank god) so we had to wait on the bus as they tried to get more customers and stopped at every bus stop between the Marina and their office on Lincoln. We didn't get off the bus from 12:30-1:30, and were vaguely laughed at when we asked the ETA. IDK, we had some good points of this tour, but we were not expecting for a FIVE HOUR expedition where they tried to upsell us at every turn, and then treated us like nothing when we didn't pay more or didn't have extra cash to tip since we didn't know we had to pay in cash for the tickets. We lucked out by booking the 9 am otherwise our entire day would've been wasted by being held hostage by this tour company. We were lucky to have the rest of the day after we were finally dropped off at 1:30.

Then used an English translation app for all of us to listen to him. OMG. The English translation missed about 20% of what was said. When he wasn't pontificating about local celebrities he was talking on his phone. Additionally, he talked with his hands! One hand held his phone to his ear while the other gestured in the air. Neither hand held onto the steering wheel. Make it stop. His driving was scary in that he made unsafe lane changes and honked at vehicles that didn't go fast enough, were where he wanted to be, or, ???? To add insult to injury, despite having paid for this trip in advance, they wanted even more $. I was charged a $2 administrative fee when I checked in. I am so shocked to the degree the driver connived for tips. He stated he was paid quite poorly as a driver. All those thick gold chains on his wrists. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

This is the 2nd year our organization has booked with Miami Motorcoach for our annual statewide…read morecollege tour and it will definitely be the last. The first year was okay albeit a very old and outdated bus, but we decided to give it another try. The bus this year was more antiquated then the first and was not inspected thoroughly before picking up our group. Midway through our trip the driver discovered that the air pressure needed to be fixed and pulled off at an exit. Approximately 40 students and staff were stuck on the side of the road in Gainesville for 5 hours waiting for a mechanic to come fix it. The mechanic was taking forever so the bus company decided to send another bus from Tampa to pick up our group and drop them off in Orlando. Our students missed their lunch reservation and had to order pizza and then also missed their dinner reservation because they were dropped off. We had to quickly find a venue willing to fix dinner for 40 people with an hour's notice. The worst part is they missed the college tour for the school that everyone wanted to visit the most, UCF. They settled for just visiting the bookstore the next morning, but were not able to have their group tour rescheduled. The bus company offered no compensation for the inconvenience due to their negligence, no apologies, and basically said we should be "grateful" they even sent another bus to pick us up instead of leaving us on the side of the road. They acted like they did us a favor. This is the worst customer service we have ever received and will gladly take our business elsewhere. The only positive of the trip was the driver; the students loved him and he was very friendly and kind. Avoid Miami Motorcoach at ALL COSTS!
