Pros: players card covered most of the cost, nice outdoor seating, inside has great large screen tvs to watch sports on, last time I was here (not this occasion) the mixed drinks were quite nice. Chopsticks and fork served with your meal. Water is filtered. Cons: slow service, waitress disappeared and management had to fill in. This is not a sushi place even though sushi is on the menu. As you can see in the picture, they can't roll or follow their own menu description. Staff tried to gaslight me and say that there was no spicy mayo on the roll even though it says it does on their menu. Yakatori was unseasoned but mid. Never got a refill. It does get loud if you sit closer to the casino. Bottom line: would only return if I wanted a mixed drink or was starving and I had enough comps. read more

The oysters were fresh, and the tofu came crispy with a spicy garlic sauce. For mains, we had ramen, short ribs, lobster tail and a build-your-own bento bowl with rice, sesame tuna, beef skewers, and shishito peppers. The ramen had a rich broth, springy noodles, and tender pork belly, while the lobster tail was buttery with a firm bite, and the short ribs tender and nicely charred. I also tried the ramen, which was very good, and the Black Dragon roll was really tasty. The peach mint hookah was another highlight--smooth and enjoyable. Overall, I would definitely come back for the food and hookah. The only downside was that the gentleman handling the hookahs told us we had to return it exactly at 8:58 because they were closing, which felt a bit rushed and unprofessional and made the experience a little uncomfortable at the end. This place is really beautiful, especially with all the Christmas lights, the Christmas tree and all the decor, it's giving a lowkey classy vibe. I did not try their food, as I was not hungry, but I did end up having a few beers, sake, and ordered hookah. I was pretty surprised that their hookah was only $20, it's cheaper compared to other hookah lounges so that was really nice. I just found my new spot. I will be coming here more often from now on, they also have a DJ and what's more fun was as soon as I sat on the machine, I immediately hit the big win so that paid for all my drinks and shisha. No doubt this place is beautiful, the aesthetics are stunning and the vibe is cool as hell. They have a DJ, (not sure if it's only on weekends) a pool table, serve food, ginormous TV's to watch sports on, a full size bar and the coolest thing ever, they serve hookah! Seating on the inside and option balcony seating. Casino just right below the escalator's. I really wanted to give this restaurant a 10/10 but the food is where it fell short for me. I have had their sushi in the past, which was pretty good and I heard their ramen is good too. I came in at 10:30pm, tried to order Yakitori pork ribs (which was unavailable, they stop serving it after a certain time they said) Was recommended loft fries, so I ordered that, a red dragon roll and gyudon bowl. It took about a half hour for my food, I came up and to my surprise, they didn't have my sushi roll. Apparently they stop making sushi at a certain time too. Not going to lie, I was most excited about that. Took my food home and I was very disappointed. My fries were good but didn't have much on it. A few pieces of meat that braised the top and the rest was Literally a box of fries. For $20 I would have assumed it woulda been LOADED fries, with a decent amount of protein. My gyudon, def not gyudon. It was more of a Korean bbq flavor. Meat was dry and the quality was just not appetizing, portion was small too, it was more of a snack. That ran me about $13. I felt like I wasted money, huge heartbreak! Very underwhelmed over the food and the fact that they didn't have what I wanted available. They close at midnight, so you would assume they would have everything on their menu still being served. Overall, staff is really nice, the restaurant is gorgeous and looks like the perfect spot for date night or a night out with friends. I'll give it another try, and order something else. A great place to watch the game or watch since you're up above the casino. They also have great views of the jamul Valley. I come to Loft 94 at Jamul Casino every now and then for the Asian fusion vibe and sushi, and we headed there recently for a little date night with my husband. The atmosphere is always fun casino energy with DJs, cocktails, and that nice view overlooking the area. We started with the appetizer of ouchi eggs (those boiled ramen-style eggs, halved, breaded, and sauced). Honestly, it was such a unique flavor--really interesting and pretty tasteful. Not terrible at all; I think I'd order them again as a fun starter. For mains, I went with the yellowtail hand roll, but unfortunately, the first one had a very weird soapy taste--like the flavors just weren't there, almost a bit rancid. I had to send it back, and they were nice about remaking it. The second one was alright, a little better, but still something felt slightly off. It just wasn't hitting the spot for me this time, so definitely not my favorite. My husband got the poke bowl, and he really enjoyed it. The salmon tasted pretty decent, fresh enough, and he said it wasn't bad at all--solid choice if you're in the mood for that. For dessert, we shared taiyaki with vanilla ice cream. The vanilla ice cream was great, can't go wrong there, but the bread part wasn't satisfying enough. It felt like it should've had some filling inside the fish shape to make it more complete--kind of hollow and underwhelming. Overall, the food this visit wasn't all that great compared to previous times we've gone. Service was fine, and they handled the roll issue without drama, but the sushi disappointment brought it down. The ouchi eggs and poke were the highlights. Might give it another shot another time since we've had better experiences before, but this round was just okay. Deep fried half eggs with so many flavors, you have to try it! They also are on happy hour which is great! Happy hour is only within the first two hours of being opened with a handful of selected appetizers to choose from. Service is usually pretty good. My favorite place to eat at Jamul! The restaurant is upstairs and you can sit inside or outside on the balcony. TV screens everywhere plus DJ too. 5 stars for the lobster tail yakitori! I saw another Yelper review stating the lobster was dry and not great, and so I was hesitant to get it, but it's been 10/10 the majority of times I've been there. Only once that it was 7/10. The chicken wings also delish, but just a little too sweet for me. Ramen and udon were good too. Salmon nigiri is hit or miss. But overall good quality and great experience every time. read more

I used to love this Ramen place but yesterday, was very disapointed when Inreceived my Ronin ramen it was first a super weird presentation and the cumin smell was very noticeable I ate first the egg and it was cold touch the other egg as well cold the green side as well, I pointed out this to the waitress and they took my plate back put it in a microwave and eat it up it came back a little hotter but still the smell of cumin was strong started to inspect the meat and it's a very big piece of chunk of meat had to go online and check again The Ronin Ramen and it said short rib, this was definitely not short rib as if the meat from the birria was put in my Ramen I returned everything except the Dr Peppe. One of the great spots in town for a view of the country side in Jamul along with enjoying food. This is an Asian based eatery at the top of Jamul Casino. Sushi, appetizers, and cocktails were all enjoyable. This may be my go to spots in the future just because of the ambiance and food. I really enjoyed my experience at Loft 94. It's a great spot in Jamul Casino to get some delicious food. The service there was pretty good. It wasn't too busy because we went on a Tuesday night. Unfortunately it was already dark by the time we got in, but I'm sure the views during sunset would be amazing. The terrace was beautiful with large fire pits, heaters, and comfy couches. The food was great. I ordered the Mazeman Ramen with Pork Belly. We also had the Ouchi Eggs (SO GOOD), the wings, and Shishido peppers. The ramen was good, nothing very unique, but a solid choice. The pork belly was juicy and real fatty. The wings were pretty good and worth ordering as an appetizer. Been here a few times for both their buffets and their regular meals. I would say the regular meals are not too bad! They have a large menu and have tons of different asian appetizers, soups, and sushi rolls. I thought the sushi was decent, nothing too crazy. This place really shines when I come for the buffets! They have sashimi, sushi, lobster, crab, steak, desserts, and soooo much more. I know the buffets are only certain times of the month and you probably need a players card. Also cant forget how amazing the views are from this place!! We made a reservation for 6 people for outdoor seating because there's only two corner lounge area that could seat a large group outside. It had a nice view. We ordered: -Chicken karaage - I thought it was popcorn chicken -Gyoza - can't go wrong with this -Tokyo sticky wings - pretty good -Spam musubi - too much rice -Sensei roll - description looks better than how it taste. Didn't taste any blue crab. -Korean bento box -the braised beef was a bit tough to break apart and needed flavor so we dipped it into the sauce that came with the tempura shrimp. -Tropic mango drink - this came blended and taste like mango lassi -Lemon grass coconut mojito - my favorite. Refreshing. There's a live deejay that played really good 90s music on this night. There's billiards table on the other side and tv screens for all the televised games. The only downside would be not having a table. We had to pull chairs over to be closer to the fire pit to use it as a table. This is the third spot I've tried here at Jamal Casino and AGAIN it's a WINNER!!! (Short haired) Server Taylor?? Was pretty awesome and friendly, knew her menu well! Had the Fried tofu which was good,, bento appetizer sampler which was TASTY!, and the lobster roll which was pretty good too! The only bad thing was the Bento got there WAY after the others so we had to sit there and watch each other eat instead of eating together....
