The absolute worst customer service! I have never been inspired to write a negative Yelp review while shopping for clothes, but today's experience is worth mentioning. I walked into this Loft location and there was no greeting. I can live with that, but the two employees by the door were engaged in a full-on complain / gossip session with each other, instead of acknowledging my presence. I was there for some new work clothes and started gathering everything I wanted to try. It took me a while to find what I was looking for without any employee help, but eventually, my arms were piled with clothing. No one offered to start me a room. When I tried to flag down an employee, she ignored me. Yes, she actually did ignore me. I get myself a fitting room and then realize I need another size of something. Of course there isn't anyone nearby who is available to help with this. Although, I do hear two employees in the back storeroom chatting, so I guess that means someone was nearby -- just preoccupied with chit chat. I run out to find my size, obviously flustered. This is about the time I started formulating this review. Shopping for clothes is hard enough without feeling ignored and frustrated by bad customer service. There were a lot of employees on the clock during this time. I counted at least 4 or 5. And the store was empty of customers. What's going on here? Anyhow, this story ends with me standing at the register with the clothes I wanted to purchase, without a helping hand in sight. I was eventually able to find someone to ring me up, but her demeanor was less than friendly. I'm not sure what's up with this store. I generally like Loft's clothing, but if I'm going to leave feeling this frustrated by the service, I'll stick to shopping online. read more

I have been a Loft client for a long time and I have never encountered a problem, either with the staff or during shopping in this specific store. Was excited about this store opening up in the plaza and finally had the chance to stop by today to check it out. Cute clothes and lots of accessories. Found a sweater and was ready to check out at the register. There were at least 4-5 sales associates in the store working, and only 1 at the register. There was only 1 person ahead of me and it literally took over 15 minutes. Other associates walked to the register, but did not bother to open another register. For a new store in this area, you would think they would really focus on customer service. I know it's Friday, but the store was not that busy and they had more than enough sales associates to get clients in and out. I ended up walking out of the store without purchasing anything. This is my first and last time I will be going to Ann Taylor. There are so many places to shop, with way better service than at Ann Taylor. I've seen so many stores come and go in this plaza, and hope they will start to value their customers more. read more

Stilling along, I decided to stop into Loft to see the selection fo clothes. Fitting rooms were closed due to COVID, and sales were on fire. I purchased some items not on Final Sale so I could try them in at home and return what didn't fit. Some items rang up final sale and when I asked the salesperson said it's only 6 dollars. While it's not the amount , I could never try the item on and didn't want to be stuck with clothing that didn't fit. Price doesn't matter.. focus on service read more

I've come on multiple occasions to shop for work clothes and no one has ever greeted me or really offered to help. I only come because of the convenient location and sometimes they have a decent selection but I wouldn't recommend coming here. read more

I can actually say this is the worst retail store for customer service that I've been into in recent memory. With so many retailers competing for business, I have gotten used to feeling welcome when i walk in to a store. People that greet their customers, offer help or tell them about sales in the store. This Loft staff is so focused on each other and their job 'managing the merchandise' that customers don't seem to exist. I have wandered in here a handful of times over the last two years - each time vowing to never come back - then forgetting and thinking I had to have been in on a bad day - only to experience the exact same attitudes. I should not have to qualify but I will to make a point - I am a moderately successful person who dresses well most of the time and usually has a smile on my face. EVERY time I have walked into this location I can say that I have never been greeted nor said hello to by any of the sales staff- last week I walked around the ENTIRE store - all the way to the back and even tried to make eye contact and NOT ONE - seriously - not one person said hello or asked if they could help me. They are always busy - very busy! stocking, unwrapping new merchandise, folding or discussing displays - all certainly more important than the customer. I could have stolen something (well maybe not), done a handstand or set my hair on fire and probably not been acknowledged. What is up with these people? As a business owner I think the fish stinks from the head and wonder who owns/manages this location. I won't even say it's a shame because I have no loyalty to the Loft brand but with so many other retailers out there ready and willing to be of service even if they make a sale or not, I think it's just poor behavior. But don't focus on this review Loft folks - you gotta go get that merchandise on those displays! read more

I have been to plenty of Lofts... and this one is my favorite. I just found this gem through Maps and I was not disappointed. It's hidden because of its location but I am so glad I found it. Not only do they have a wide variety of things and a GREAT sales section, but the staff here is ridiculously friendly and nice! They're very welcoming, talkative and upbeat! They opened up a fitting room for me and they were so helpful! At the other lofts the most I get is a "hello". Very happy with this location! read more

I do really like the clothes here, I'm petite and I live nearby. I used to go regularly and purchase clothes because they have great sales and good causal clothes and more professional clothes - all comfortable, but much like other reviewers, the customer service at this location left a bad impression. I agree a lot of the people working there are "mean girls." I did a return of an online purchase and the cashier just acted like she was disgusted with me. I MIGHT go back, just because I like the fact that it's nearby and rarely crowded. But I've never had good service at this location - I'll just go with the expectation that service is going to be crappy. If I ever buy online again, I'll return at fed ex or wherever, and come on, it's pretty bad when your customer service is worse than fed ex or the post office. read more

The girls who work there are unfailingly nice, the selection is pretty good for the size of the store (better than the one in Manhattan Beach), and there is always a great sale rack. Loft offers great basics (think of it as a good alternative to somewhere in between Gap and Banana Republic), and has a decent variety of petite clothing, which is nice. If they don't have your size, they will call other stores in the area for you. read more

Rebecca is the ONE! I cannot express the level of professionalism she displayed and her customer service was outstanding. This week I needed a few things, let's be honest a lot, to get my 'look' together. Business meetings, family events and what not, Rebecca made sure I was covered. I have NEVER considered the 'Julie pant' but Rebecca told me to give it a go! I have hips and it is difficult to find pants that fit in the waist, butt and thighs that don't look tacky. She KNEW!!! And now I do too! I wear Julie's. She was fun and friendly! Working with her was like having a good friend along with me. I trust her eye and style sense. Shoot! She looked awesome herself. I kept thinking, if Jacki O was still here in the 21st Century she would be working a style something that Rebecca was displaying. I wish I could have tipped her! 4.5 rating I have not shopped at LOFT in about half a year however whenever I do, I usually visit this MDR location. My experience today was great and several sales reps were very helpful and patient as they assisted me in trying to track down various items. Upon check-out, the manager helped me order a sweater online so it could be shipped to my home. The store was very neat, the fitting rooms were well tended too, helpful staff, no pressure nor rush -- and as I walked around the store, several reps checked in with me. I found them to be competent and observed the manager to be in control of her store. I will definitely be back. Pleasant experience. read more

At this particular location the only time I have ever been greeted is while I'm walking out the door. Third times the charm. I'll take my cue. Great Window Displays make you want to shop here. The selection is good and the clothes look great on you. The staff is helpful in assisting you pick out an outfit and you can get some great sales too. I always seem to like the things not on sale so it can get pricey. They don't hound you if you just want to walk around and pick out your own styles at your leisure. I get great retail therapy here. read more

I used to shop at ATL often- the old location. Nice mix of work styles as well as fun casual pieces. The staff and management were super friendly without being pushy. A lot has changed since then. Styles are boring and too "matchy matchy". Not once on the dozen or so times I've popped in has anyone said barely hello. Tip- Get some new buyers and hire people who enjoy working with the public. read more

Like this ATL. I shop here for all of my sisters (Yes, plural. I have 5 sisters and a very picky petite mother). The store is on the small side, but that is a good thing. Not piles of sale junk that no one wants. Petites in the back corner, sale in the other and regular sizes up front. Though they sometimes look light in stock levels, this location can move merchandise. One person in front of me was buying a grip of sweaters and pants. She didn't even blink when the total of $400.00 plus was called out. That's power shopping. Think sweaters are only $30.00 to $40.00 here. That's a lot of sweaters. Also, remember this current economy. That could feed me for a month or two. The floor plan is very open and the store is well lit. The salesgirls are always nice and they are very accommodating. Need a size??? They'll find it. Gift boxes???? They'll give you as many as you want. The plus is that it is not filled with tacky shoppers and the sales trawling trolls. Serious shoppers who know their style and are actually polite and pleasant. No pushing in line, no cutting or or other drama. read more

So if I was basing this on the clothes alone I would rate a five star X 10! I love the clothes at loft ....but this particular store always seems to have a sale sign in the window but never have the sale.....last time I went it said get an extra 60 off clearance....no fine print visable (unless it was written anywhere but the window) ....I picked out two clearance dresses and just thought I would double check before I tried them on and they said no not off that clearance stuff.... I just shook my head.....put the dresses back and walked out...e customer service left a lot to be desired! I will stick to the loft outlets in camarillo.....always better deals and service! read more

I love me some ATL. It is definitely one of my favorite stores. The clothes are cute, well made and affordable, they almost always have a good sale going, and the sales people are the best in the business. Nice, friendly and helpful. At least usually. I was just in the store trying to return something when I realized I forgot my ATL card. I asked if they could look it up and the woman said no. I asked her to double check because I have done that to purchase things once or twice in the past when I forgot my card, and the woman freaked out on me. She said she was "busy." There was no one else in the store. I asked to talk to a manager and se said, that's me. I asked her what her name was, and she gave me a dirty look and said something inaudible. I gasped; I was not used to such bad customer experience at the store. I asked her to write it down since I could not hear her, and she rolled her eyes and said her name realllllyyyyy slowly. Then she said I could leave or she would call security. Of course I did not understand her attitude, but I promptly left and called customer service. Apparently this is not her first issue I am told. For the record her name is Senadu(?) and she is a shorter, medium skinned woman with realt bad pockmarks on her cheeks and a large frame. Maybe that is why she was so bitter?!?! i worked in retail for 2 years so i try to be understanding when sales associates make mistakes. but where i worked, we were trained to apologize for our mistakes and to try to be accommodating to our customers. this store NEEDS BETTER TRAINING in BASIC MATH and CUSTOMER SERVICE, but from the way the manager is, it's not too hopeful. its NOT OK for them TO BE TALKING DOWN TO A CUSTOMER or ROLL THEIR EYES at customers. on 5/1/16, i bought 6 articles of clothing, one of which was erroneously scanned at a full price when the tag had a sales price sticker. when i went back within one hour of initial purchase. the sales associate looked at the receipt and repeated twice "what do you mean, this was discounted", but does not check the actual price tag. when i tried to explain to her, she rudely asked me when the purchase was made (the receipt is in your hands lady, you can check it yourself). thankfully, another sales associate nearby recognized what the error was and tells her to call the manager for override. when the manager came by, the manager cuts me off and says "we are trying to train her". first of all, lady, it's not that hard to work the cashier machine. two hours (or even one hour) of training would have been sufficient. if your associate is not competent enough to figure out how to read prices on tags or understand simple math, train them separately before allowing them to work in the front. AND learn to apologize for the inconvenience that your sales associate's incompetence has caused. 2 stars are for the location, cleanliness of the store, and the nice products that LOFT corporation sells. read more

I am a loyal Loft customer Love their clothes. Stopped shopping at Marina store over a year ago, didn't like management. Went in there with a friend few weeks ago, saw new management and decided to give it a try. No change. Seems like Loft gives managers for this store a pass in dealing poor customer service. Go to Manhattan Village where sales staff treat their customers well and are truly interested in their Business. I go to the Starbucks often at MDR and often see the Manager of this Loft outside smoking. Is this the message that Loft wants to give to this community. Marina Del Rey is a smoke free shopping center. Our community exemplifies a healthy living. She needs to stop, she always looks mad while she smokes. read more
