Just love it! -- an awesome place to vibe with great music selection, eat surprisingly awesome food at a "sports bar," AND practice your golf shot! The hubs and I love it here, and never miss a chance to bring out of town guests. The staff is friendly and super helpful. There are TVs everywhere for game watching, and the staff is awesome and will change stations if by chance they're missing one. And if you know me, you know I love a good photo op, and the possibilities are endless here! As for food, the oozy burger is hubs' guilty pleasure, and it's the classic burger for me! I love the brisket/beef blend they have for their burger patties. The quesadillas are tasty, the Nashville hot sliders, the beignet fries (I always ask for extra powdered sugar as they go light and I need MOOOORE!), the chips and queso-- THE EVERYTHING! Truly, you can go wrong. I LOVE IT HERE!

We came here for an event. They had buffet of salad, pulled pork sandwiches, pasta, mashed potatoes, and chips with cheese and salsa. The place had lots of entertainment: virtual games (not just golf - football, soccer, darts, carnival games), shuffleboard, and pool tables. They have Jenga blocks on the tables of the front porch. The zombie dodgeball game was tiring because the zombies refused to die! The staff was friendly and helpful on showing us how the virtual games work. We'll definitely come back.

Let's playyyyyyy!! Shout out to Ellllllllie! The best Event Manager! One of the organizations that I am a member of decided that Loft 18 would be the perfect place for our Networking Happy Hour. Loft 18 didn't disappoint. We had 3 Bays, Catered Food, and Bar Drinks! Parking: It is in a shared lot. However, due to recent breakins, this establishment has done quite a bit of due diligence to put signage up warning guests not to leave valuables in their vehicles. Food: We ordered catering. Our guests had Spinach & Artichoke Dip (Soooooo yummy and cheesy) with chips, Southwest Eggrolls (Super Delish), Chicken Strips, French Fries! They were all a hit! Service: We had a least 3 Tables Hosts for our party size. They were courteous and so super nice! The Games: After the Planning Committee started playing the games like Target Golf, Baseball, Zombie Dodgeball (my favorite of all the games... FYI, for some reason "the house always won... lol" this game was super HARD but fun, Carnival Games, etc.). The team at Loft18 were great to work with. Try em out!

Not too far from where I stay and wanted some wings so I stopped by. Pretty slow for a Saturday afternoon but aim not complaining because I was able to gran a seat and order immediately. Ordered wings with buffalo sauce on the side with fries. The wings could've had more seasoning on them and the fries were over seasoned. The bartenders were very attentive but not over bearing. Small bar area but they have several lanes to play indoor golf and about 6 pool tables. The ambiance is very chill. They also have outdoor seating. I probably wouldn't come back for food but maybe to play some pool.

This was a fun bar/activity to visit whether you live in Houston or are just in town visiting. They have a bar area and plenty of seating throughout so it is a great place to grab a drink or some food while you're watching a game. We went on a Sunday and apparently they are a Detroit Lions bar so there were a bunch of Lions fans who were there watching the game. We only ordered the queso and some beers which were both good, but I don't know how much I can speak on the food or drinks there otherwise. We walked in without a reservation and we were able to get a simulator in about 15 minutes. The simulators were very nice and there is a good amount of seating around each bay. The simulators are definitely made for golf so I would not go with the expectation that all of the other activities are as good. They did not have a way to hit the baseballs so we had to throw the ball to each other and the sensor for the football and dodgeball activities did not feel very accurate.

I had lunch here last week to check it out. Loft18 is located on the corner of Edwards and Sawyer with plenty of parking available. Inside it consists of a bar and large main room (think sports bar decor) for dining and drinks and then several 3-sided bays on the sides of the main room where you can play video golf. Each bay has enough room to swing your clubs (or you can rent theirs) and hit the ball against a fabric video screen that simulates the flight of the ball and where it lands next on the golf hole that you are playing. When I arrived during the lunch hour, the facility was mostly empty with maybe 10 customers at the time (a 3 some playing golf and the others just eating). This review is for the food only as I did not play golf. I ordered the blackened chicken Alfredo entree that came with a side salad for $15. Arriving less than 5 minutes later was the salad. It had fresh greens, cheese, tomatoes and croutons and was very good. It was better than average for a side salad. About 15 minutes after ordering the entree arrived. Sliced grilled chicken over a bed of fusilla pasta with Alfredo sauce and Parmesan cheese. It was a decent amount of food and it tasted good too. I wish the food was warmer though. It wasn't cold but should have been warmer. My table service was very good. I believe the primary purpose coming here is to play golf with friends while eating and drinking. Think Top Golf but indoors. From watching the golf system, I'm not sure that I'm interested but then I didn't play so I could be wrong. Regarding the food, it was all acceptable but not to the level that I would come back to eat unless it was to play golf or watch friends play golf and that's why I give a 3 score overall.

Went with my coworkers party of 7; reserved a simulator stall for 2 hours on a Tuesday. $25 an hour. The drinks and appetizers were great! Entrees were ok. Chicken, lamb chops and shrimp were really salty. They definitely make sure they let you know when you have 15 mins left on your gaming reservation and promptly announce when your time is up -- awkward. Kinda felt rushed. Also our simulator did not work that well. Tried the basketball, soccer and dodgeball simulator games -- all really glitchy. Cool place. I will probably come back for just drinks and appetizers.

Love the concept and great place for a casual hang out! The Monday & Tuesday night special ($50 for 2 hours) is a GREAT deal for any group over 3 people. The golf simulation involves real golf clubs and balls, which you swing into a screen and they spit out a bunch of stats for you (not a golf expert so I had no idea what they meant, but seemed legit). There were several different games and settings you could play with the simulation. Equipment is provided by the venue but you can also bring your own. There's also happy hour! The quesadillas were not on the happy hour menu but I was really impressed with them - lots of pepper and flavor going on there. Covid precautions: the servers wore masks and started sanitizing as soon as our time was up. It was not crowded at all on a Monday evening, so I felt safe being in a private section with my group. The bathroom has a sign that says only one person at a time, but I'm not quite sure how/if this was being monitored. Overall I really enjoyed my time here! Weekend rates are pretty pricey but definitely worth checking out during a weekday.

Had Austin as a waiter provided great service , made sure we were taken care of and constantly checking if we were having fun, would definitely recommend asking him for his preference because what can I say the man has great taste I had the chicken wrap and it was absolutely delicious, would definitely come here again as it's a welcoming environment!! Thank you Austin for the A++ experience!!

Is this kid friendly? Like if I have a couple of 10 year olds there around noon on a Saturday, would that be ok?

I would say depending on how crowded it is, remember it's a bar. But if you're taking them to play golf you should be fine since you have your own little section.

Despite being quite empty at that time, we had to be on a waitlist system for about 20 min. Maybe people signed up for that time slot, unclear ? The tables do move. We were originally assigned right under the TVs, which defeated our purpose of watching the game. We moved our table back, enough to not pinch our neck. It's a great location for game watching. TVs are set all throughout the bar. Bonus if there are two or more sport events. That evening, we could watch a WC game and a UFC fight at the same time. What surprised me was the quality of the food. The wings were excellent, the burger came out quickly as well. The fries could be crispier. The tots were good. Wish they offered sweet potato fries. Overall pricing is a bit on the higher side. So watch your alcohol consumption, lol! Now, it is downtown so parking isn't the best. Use a rideshare. I can be convinced to go back for their wings. They were really delicious !

Don't know why there wasn't one tv showing any baseball game, including the Astros game on at the same time.) The bar is fine; the seats not the most comfortable; the food is overpriced bland Sysco, with the atmosphere too loud for the friendly waitstaff to hear you. I had a salmon Caesar, which was fine, but $31 plus a hidden 4% service charge for not a lot of lettuce, dressing, and four croutons. An app (chips and bland dip, skimped on the chips) and two entrees, a 16 oz beer and two mixed drinks was $145 with tax and tip. Agonizing to pay that much for a mid experience, especially with the other costs in time and money. Guaranteeing seats for the game without showing up ages in advance cost $40/seat and we didn't get the advertised VIP World Cup goody-bag package we were promised. Worst part of the night was getting out. 45 minutes stuck in the $10 Greenstreet parking garage because the scanners weren't working, but it's that or $40 of Ubers. So ~$250 for a less-than-mid evening that wasn't especially relaxing.

The first time that I went there, I went by myself and had a seat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and greeted me when I say down. I ordered some beers and a hot dog with chili. Both the beers and hot dog were great after the three hour bus ride I just took. The third time that I went there, I went with my friend and we had a seat at the bar. This was our last night in Houston and we decided to have a few drinks before our trip ended. I got a beer in their special St. Patrick's Day glass. The bartender was again attentive and it was a good night. Looking back, I guess both my first and last stops in Houston were here. The second time that I came here was also with my friend and we sat at a table to order food. The waitress was great and kept checking on us. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was crispy and tasty. This is the only part that I had an issue with from the restaurant. At some point during my second visit, a woman came into the restaurant with her pants covered in poop. She left and then came back another time and walked among the tables. The bartender eventually escorted her out. Here is why I am still giving this place 4 stars after this. The service and food was still good even and I had two uneventful visits. This visit, I just happened to sit at a table closest to the door. If you want to make sure you don't have an experience like this, you can sit at the bar, or upstairs or further away from the front door. I recommend this place for a great selection of beer, great staff and great food.

And randomly that's a chess table haha. In the back, there is a small bar that has cocktails, some with Asian inspiration. There's a staircase nearby that takes you upstairs. Every time I went, the door was closed, and there is a second bar that overlooks the first floor kind of like a speakeasy. But the journey continues of a spiral staircase next to this second floor bar! You take that, and you end up in a small outdoor area -- it's surrounded by buildings, so it's not quite a rooftop vibe. Seating is very limited and a lot of people smoke out there. But you can go inside on this third floor, and there is even more vintage stuff, and another bar behind a window. There are a bunch of rooms with different vintage stuff that kind of reminds me of this bar in DC I used to love. But what really kept me coming back was the sound dome. No matter where you stood in there, other people could hear you because of how the sound carries. There were some stimulating visuals on the ceiling, and you can Bluetooth to the rather epic stereo sound system. The comfy stools and the bean bag couches make it the perfect spot for an impromptu listening party. What other places have things like this?! Out of all the places I went to in houston, I found myself coming here the most. The Sunday night karaoke was a bonus too :).

Unconventional in every way, Nutsouh has been one of my favorite venues in the city. Founded 30…read moreyears ago by local artists Jim Pirtle and Missy Bosch, it got its start as a coffee shop before becoming a site for art installations and live entertainment. The name is simply "Houston" spelled backwards. The decor is quirky, eclectic and goes hard on the taxidermy. There are all kinds of animals from land-based to sea creations in all kinds of positions, along with very unique art and ambiance to explore. The multi-room layout makes the place a fun spot to explore and check out the different levels. The darkly lit ambiance makes it a bit hard for photographs, but it is no less a dizzying and fascinating space. My favorite part of the entire place is on third floor, where there is a sound dome that doubles as a visualizer, a communal space, and a trippy acoustics wonderland where music can be played via bluetooth and tourists and locals would enjoy it. The sound system is excellent and a perfect place to chill out. There's more than just sensory overload, the drinks also deserve a bit of mention. The jalapeño palomas and hibiscus mules are fun, despite feeling a tinge overpriced. Bartenders are nice people, and service as a whole is a thumbs up. The parking situation will be challenging, since this is Downtown proper. Street parking is available just down the block, and if one can avoid the crowded weekends, the weeknights are an ideal time to visit. It's hard not to be impressed with the distinctiveness of the place, which is truly one of the city's great local favorites.
