Not sure if that's normal or if it was just that night. They'll make an announcement for you to go grab a bingo board from designated spots and it was quite a fight to get a board, which is one per person. I think we played a total of 5-6 rounds with breaks in between and each round is a different goal (e.g. regular bingo, making an X, blackout, etc) with a different prize and the prizes gradually get bigger. Since the tables were all full, lots of people were either sitting around the stage, or on the turf, or standing on the back patio. Parking was super crowded. They have a lot which was definitely filled so I had to resort to street/neighborhood parking. They made announcements that if you park at the establishment next door you WILL get towed (they had tow trucks coming in the whole night I feel)

It's located right at 19th St. and Shepherd near the light. There's a small angled parking lot that can be tight when people park along the fence. It looks like a cute tiny A-frame home with a few patio tables in the front. The inner area has about 6-7 high tables. It's nice and clean inside. The vibe feels similar to H-Town Brewing Co. but on a smaller scale. You can also sit at the bar. I didn't really like the high tables/chairs. They're not as comfortable. It was hot out, and there are mosquitos, so we sat inside. I ordered the salmon plate for steak night. The drinks here are ok, and since I don't really drink, I was looking for mocktail options. In this era, most places have mocktail options with brand alternatives like Ritual, Seedlip and Lyre's or at the least, something with juice, Topo Chico and simple syrup. The female bartender made me a NA margarita which was great. I liked that she didn't make it too sweet or too tart which happens with mocktails that don't have alternatives and are mostly juice or lemon. On the other hand, when I ordered a second, the guy bartender made it too sweet. I didn't like his version. For the alcoholic versions, they seem to have good cocktails, wine, beer and flights. They also have daily specials. Aside from the steak night, they don't serve food here. It wouldn't be my first choice of bars in this area.

The opening weekend was without heaters but fortunately it wasn't too cold. The servers mentioned that they were bringing in heaters in a few days. We enjoyed perusing their holiday themed menu and settled on our orders. I decided on the Carol Singer and J opted for the Coconut hot chocolate. I was happy to try these warmer drinks on a nippy day and they were both delicious! I loved the spiced warm cider taste of rage Carol Singer, though the standout of the night was the Coconut hot chocolate. The whipped cream was perfect for giving the hot chocolate Christmas feel while still getting a kick from the rum and amaretto mix. Our servers were attentive and very accommodating. They did inform us of another party coming in to the same table 2 hours after our reservation which was very reasonable and we appreciated the heads up. I've also had the chance to stop by outside the Christmas season and was blown away by the tasty drinks and reasonable prices. It has the vibe when you step in that what's going on in the world pauses, a place to unwind, and just about everyone you run into in these types of spots are laid back looking for that same soul in a bar. If you're the type that wants packed, lively and busy, this ain't it (aside from big sports events). The original D&T icehouse first opened in the 1960s and closed in 2012. Then after acquisition and renovation, reopened in May 2013. There's been changing of ownership in that time, but the spirit of what this bar has been about remains. There is a parking lot across the settees and you can generally find parking around the place, which is always nice when you're just seeking to catch up with some friends and watch a game. To that end, the bar is long with a good amount of seating, there's also tables throughout and a large patio, mostly covered, if you have a pet or care to take in some sunshine. They typically have fans running in the summer and some heaters in the cooler months. There are TVs throughout which always have at least one sports event on. They are typically open in the afternoon and close around midnight aside from the weekends, when they stay open later. Food & Drink - 4.25* They have a solid selection of craft beer on tap, a good amount of local brewers, which is great. They also carry a selection of canned beer as well. There is a full bar if you are looking for something a little stronger or are not a fan of beer. As for food, it's a bit more of a roll of the dice. This has changed with time, but generally there's pop up vendors that will visit. You are also welcome to DoorDash or bring whatever you like in as well. Service - 4.25* Ive never had any trouble going into the bar and getting service. They don't have servers in the traditional sense, it's your typical dive bar where you want something, go get it at the bar. On occasion you'll have someone come out and grab an empty glass and they may ask if you want anything. Cost - 4.75* Always subjective but getting some good craft beer at a typical tap price is about as simple as it gets. There's a few that could be adjusted but I've never noticed anything too out of market norms. Overall - 4.5* The only knock I would give D&T over other nearby neighborhood bars in the area is the fact there is a more consistent food setup at most of the others - whether that is in house food or a good rotation of pop-ups. That said, this neighborhood "dive" bar offers just about everything I want in a spot. Local beer, great patio space, plenty of tables for friends or family, local sports, and non-pretentious vibes for those who tend to prefer being away from the massive crowds.

They have some really good craft cocktails and their menu changes seasonally. They also have mocktails which are equally as tasty. One of the cocktails that I really enjoyed is the French 765B which is a lavender French 75. If you need a bite to eat, they have a small food truck on site. They also allow outside food to be brought in which I found out on my most recent. I've been to their steak and trivia night on Thursdays which is so much fun! Trivia is ran by Challenge Entertainment. The prizes for trivia are gift cards that can be used at the bar. The steak is provided by Culinary Designs by M.E.R. and it's really good. If you don't want steak, they also offer salmon and shrimp. In addition to steak and trivia on Thursdays, they have daily specials and theme nights too. It's definitely a fun atmosphere.
