Came here after seeing while passing by and my sister mentioned that the ice cream was good , and it's definitely an experience! The vintage style store was amazing ,, definitely takes you back with some vintage toys and you get to experience an older era . The ice cream was really good and you can tell it's not just sitting there for a while .

It was great. Food, service, employees, and the owners. Love the nostalgia and concept. Yummy ice cream.

Wanted a diner-like experience and we certainly got that at this establishment. I ordered the grit bowl with a fried egg and turkey bacon. My husband ordered the pastrami and eggs (to eat while dining in), and the corned beef hash meal to go. Not only was the food good, but there were so many "goodies" throughout the store part of the diner - almost like a kid in a candy/toy store! I will certainly visit again, and I plan to sample the ice cream next time!

What a cool place! My friends and I had a good time watching blackberry candy canes being made. We were lucky enough to taste test them too! We enjoyed checking out their unique toys and gifts. I bought a cool Sherlock Holmes mug as a gift for a friend. I was glad to see vegan ice cream options. They were out of the pumpkin pie flavor so I got a root beer float with vegan vanilla ice cream. It was sooo good! This is a great place to bring out of town guests! Oh I also noticed they were very well staffed and the workers were all super nice. This place is a must visit gem in Tallahassee!

Lofty Pursuits is a wonderful tourist destination in Tallahassee, however it is also a great spot for locals too! Lofty Pursuits has been open for over 30 years. They've been in this larger location for years tho. Lofty Pursuits offers breakfast, lunch, ice cream, toys, the largest selection of frisbee disks I've ever seen, and candy. Lots of candy. They make awesome hard candies, including cut rock candy and phenomenal candy canes with interesting flavors. If you're lucky you'll find a bin of packaged individual broken candy canes for a dollar! Such a bargain and you can sample more flavors and share with friends!! If you arrive at the right time and I'm not sure when that is, you can watch them making the candy canes and cut rock candies! The ice cream selection is extensive. Add sundaes and speciality toppings and you've got a kid's dessert paradise! You might eat a meal here, enjoy dessert or do some gift shopping. They really cover a lot of bases. On this particular visit we ordered the two egg breakfast, which includes delicious thick cut bacon cooked perfectly and one plate had grits and one with hash browns. Local or tourist, this is a must-visit destination!

Love their ice cream so much! I got the cotton candy flavor and it was the best I've had in town.

This place is such a gem in Tallahassee. My toddler had been asking for "blue ice cream" the last couple of days and so we made an impromptu visit on a random Thursday afternoon because I was pretty confident they would have it. They did! It's called the "Smurf," and it's a blue raspberry with marshmallows. I allowed my son to sample it and he enjoyed. I also purchased him a "Nano Scoop" of it. Love that that was an option for my little guy. I ended up with a regular scoop of Caramel Caribou... I had it for the first time in the Bahamas and enjoyed it ever since. This ice cream takes me back. I love all the cool toys in this place as well and we sat at the bar and watched "Racoon Candy" being made. Such a sweet visit with my Sonshine. The staff was so great and kind and accommodating.

The service was amazing! Every employee was so kind and helpful. I ordered the Lofty Wakeup Call; the portion size was perfect for me and I really enjoyed the waffle. I also had the red velvet ice cream and it was SO good! I'm already planning my next visit!

AMAZING!!!! Great food! There was a LONG wait at the OTHER breakfast place within a block. We looked for a different option and boom - this place came up walking distance! Fantastic food, wonderful friendly people, ambiance was wonderful, and gifts (toys) to boot! You can't miss this spot!

Sea Salt Caramel and Strawberry Ice Cream Cone

I hadn't come to this place in quite a while. They really have the best ice cream in town and their hot food isn't bad either. Today when I came in I tried the strawberry ice cream with salted caramel and I had it on a waffle cone. It was delicious!

    Cherry oblivion

Cherry Oblivion is the best flavor in the shop. Yes. I am super judgemental but necessary. The fresh chunks of cherries are supreme and the homemade cream makes it to die for.

Tangerine and citrus sours! Good job with the Altoid sours dupe.

Their candies are amazing! Learned about them through a Safiya Nygaard video and I had to try the candies. Got the citrus sampler and Alien in pear flavored image candies as well as the Altoid sours recreation of tangerine and citrus. Perhaps it was expensive with added shipping because the total for 4 candies was about $52 but I won't hesitate to reorder once I'm out. I wasn't really sure about pear flavored candy, but that turned out to be my favorite. It doesn't really taste like pear, but there was a good amount of citric acid added that made it super addicting. The Altoid recreations were also a pretty faithful reproduction. The sour powder on top was puckering and they also managed to strip the skin off the roof of my mouth. Exactly what I look for in an Altoid sour. I want a list of all the candies that involve citric acid because I want to taste them all!

Inside you will smell delicious gluten free and preservative free sausage. People come from all over the country to visit this store and to try their famous tractor milled grits. We took home hot pepper sauces and several preserves . They were so friendly here from the guys in back serving sausage dogs and links to checkout. Walking around the store is nostalgic for old time items like RC cola and small games from the 60s. Out on the porch are 4 rocking chairs and by the lake are places to picnic which we did with my parents who said they felt they were on vacation since it was so peaceful. Will definitely make a return visit when come back to Tally!

I can see why people drive from all over the state to pass the canopy roads to get here. The staff were very helpful in explaining what they were serving in the back of the store. They even had locally produced honey and milk in glass jars. After purchasing some merch to take home we sat on the picnic tables close by the lake . Will be returning the next we return to Tallahassee for their barbecue.
