Amazing food, service and ambience. Such a charming small local ran business. Great place to fuel up to start your Yellowstone adventure. Definitely will be back!

Cutest little cafe ever!! Loved my french toast, thick cut bacon was delicious!! A lovely little cabin nestled in the mountains just outside Yellowstone national park. If a picture is worth 1000 words then I'm sure you'll get a sense of the place. Highly recommended !! Thank you!

Delicious breakfast but a little pricey at $72 for two people.

Great food, great service, great little breakfast restaurant in Silver Gate Montana, at the North East entrance to Yellowstone. We drove all the way over from Gardiner.

On a weeklong road trip and this is the only place we purposely stopped for breakfast. We stayed next door at the Grizzly Lodge and another guest there told us about it. We visited on July 5th. Service was outstanding. Our male server (whose sister was the cook). made sure to tell us the kitchen was a little behind because there were a few large table ahead of us and they were short-staffed. It might have taken 20 minutes for our order to come out, but we didn't mind because the ambiance was relaxing and area appropriate! I had to get the pancakes from a 80+ year old recipe and my husband had to get the trout special with hashbrowns. We both made excellent choices!! Those were some of the best pancakes and hashbrowns I've ever tasted! All employees that we saw (4) were young and very efficient, friendly, and professional!

We stopped in for a late lunch break from visiting Yellowstone National Park. I had the fresh Idaho trout filets that were excellent. Fresh, juicy and lightly breaded to perfection. The rest of the group had the smoked salmon wrap that was just as good. The wraps came with a side salad as did the trout. The place was quaint and a genuine step back in time. The cafe dates back to the early 1960''s evidenced by the antique menu that hasn't changed much since. This was such a nice change from the park lunch options we'd endured for several days. Don't miss out on this gem of a cafe that knows how to serve idaho trout. Cheers!

Blueberry pancakes, bacon, eggs over easy.

Stopped here based on the recommendation of the gas station attendant in Cooke and we are in her debt!! Friendly quick service and the food was absolutely delicious. Would definitely return if in the area again!

We had breakfast here yesterday (ham/bacon/eggs over easy/scrambled eggs/has browns/pancakes/hot chocolate) plus a huge piece of ice cold pumpkin bread for later. Everything was delicious! I would love a copy of the pumpkin bread recipe. Our server did a great job. We've had an oil painting of this cafe for decades from a Utah artist--Brian Thayne--so it was nice to finally visit this restaurant.

Very cute place that has been around almost 100 years! Pancakes and French toast are delish, but the real star is the trout!

Knew we weren't going to find a lot of food options in Yellowstone, so chose to stop at the Beartooth Café before entering. Cooke city is a cute little town that was hopping at the end of August. We did have to wait 10 or 15 minutes for a table, but there is a cute souvenir shop right next-door that kept us busy while we were waiting. The restaurant staff is super friendly and helpful, and the food really hit the spot. We were grateful for the chance to get something good to eat and use the restroom before heading into the park. They also have a gas station so we could fill up and not have to worry about that either. If this is the route you were taking on your visit to Yellowstone, I would definitely recommend a stop here!

Food was a simple and yummy find across from our motel. My burger was charred just right, the bun wad very dry; the side salad was deliciously crisp. My hubby enjoyed a juicy steak with mashed taters and veggies. This is a must stop when passing through this quaint town. Tip-be aware, no cell service anywhere in this town and WiFi is hard to find. This was a shock to us, never heard of such a thing!!!

Our other orders were the bison burger special and the "juicy lucie" burger with fries and tots. Both burgers were fresh and well prepared and the sides were served hot and crisp. The restaurant is in the Soda Butte Lodge and the whole space is in need of some updates, but don't let that turn you off. If fine dining was your priority, you probably wouldn't be in Cooke City to begin with. It seems to be family run and the hospitality industry execution may be a work in progress but the service was friendly and accommodating. The young lady tending bar / servicing tables was entertaining in her matter-of-fact engagement. Did i mention the curry...?

I wish I would've used the restroom before i ordered because I would've just left. Black carpet and it felt like an 80s horror movie where the restrooms were located. We ordered a Reuben and the cheese steak. Reuben came without sauce and the pastrami was over grilled or honestly could have been out of date. The cheese steak didn't fare any better. Onion rings and tots were fried to oblivion in old cooking oil. Plastic utensils, empty condiment bottles and mustard and mayo packets on the table like a food cart place. I hate to bash family run places, especially in small towns where tourism is what they have to rely on but we are just hoping that we don't get food poisoning from our lunch today. Avoid this place like your gut depends on it. Hot dog dude across the street, Sup Dog, was a much better choice after we couldn't finish half our meal. A health department check is probably in order for this place. A one star review because yelp doesn't allow no stars.

We chose this place because we thought we would have a place to eat, a place to have a drink and little entertainment all in one location.. when we arrived we were flat lied to and told that the tavern just closed early that day! After speaking to locals the tavern/casino hasn't been open almost all summer long. The 2nd day we asked again about it and all the guy would tell us is it was closed then acted like he didn't understand what I was asking.. Of course while on his phone sitting in the lobby. Woke up the 2nd day went down to get coffee and was told no coffee they had to clean the machine of course they were once again sitting in the lobby on their phones. 3rd morning had to go down to look for someone so we could get towels, 3 days and no house keeping, we had to actually go down and request for our room to be turned down... Well ended up just 1 out of the 5days we stayed there they actually changed our sheets and made the bed... The last 2 days they did bring towels and take out trash but that was it! No mopping no soap or coffee cup replacements.. they just brought towels... they offered wifi and we connected but still had zero service.. This was our anniversary trip and it was ruined sadly by the place we chose to stay... We will not ever make that mistake again! The town is small and options are slim but sleeping in a truck would have been better than staying at the Soda Butte Lodge...
