This is the worst manicure I have ever had. The polish job was very sloppy. There is polish on my skin and cuticle. No effort was made to clean it up with nail polish remove. She just used her nail to try to scrape it off. She also cut me several times with the cuticle nippers. And I agree with the other reviewers that's it doesn't seem very sanitary in there, which is scary since she made me bleed with the tools. read more

The technician was amazing! She interacted and did an amazing job with my horrible cuticles and everything! HOWEVER, the establishment, management and their nail polishes (the one I had) were bad!!! I never go here but I was in a rush! I decided to get a regular mani and pedi which I don't do as I go for the no chip but I knew I was going to get a different color for an event in two weeks! As I sat down to get started on the pedi the water was perfect but little nail polish particles were swimming around with other stuff! The technician took her time and I loved it but that water was gross. We moved to do the mani- again she took her time and perfected everything!! But the nail polish had already broken down and she had to shake it and redo my nails because it kept breaking down!! I let her finish and they came out fine but as I put my hand over the fan to dry for 30min. I paid and tipped - grabbed my keys from my bag and went on my merry way when my manicure was botched!! On top of it - I saw how they re wash the disposable Sandals and the tie separator! I'm just driving home and taking my manicure off but my pedicure is fine!! Went here to remove my dip powder manicure and decided to try the no chip manicure (gel polish) and regular pedi. I normally am a dip powder only fan but I'm SO impressed with the no chip. It's been 2 weeks and not a single chip or peeling of the polish. My nail tech was super sweet and shaped my nails beautifully. Very disappointing! Second time here and first time was outstanding. This time was not. Got started on my nails, she walked away, I sat there for 20 minutes no explanation, after 45 min asked if anyone was going to finish. The woman next to me said she was. 4 people prior came in and got taken care of right away (mind you I had an appointment for a fill and pedicure). Nails crooked, uneven, she couldn't do the shape I asked. Another woman fixed them but still not right. I gave up. I didn't even get the hand lotion hand massage or anything like advertised or like my 1st experience. I will never come back. I wanted to love this place as they seem to have a great following of clients. I will be going home and refilling my nails to fix what she couldn't. What a nightmare. I called when they opened and made a 1pm nail appointment. I asked specifically if they had liquid gel to which they confirmed twice that they did. I drove all the way to Logan square to find out they do not have that type of gel. I decide to just do a pedicure and the girl they give me rushes through it.. it's 1:30 I didn't start until 1:15 if that gives you an idea to how quick she was. I decided to go get my nails done somewhere else so I'm in a hurry to get to the next salon and they're dryers for the feet do not work and I asked them twice to come help turn them on for me... no one came. Never feels like a rushed job and is up for a bit of a challenge when I request a new design. Not to mention he is very pleasant to be around and you feel comfortable in the space. My first visit here was in June 2017 (my old review is below this one), and it wasn't one of the best nail salon experiences that I've ever had. Since then, I have visited this place 3-4 more times for my no-chip gel fill in's. The nail techs always end up doing high quality work. The nails also last a long time, and I am often able to go 2.5-3 weeks between fill in's without any issues. Except for the unattractive natural nail grow out, there is no lifting and there is still great shine from the polish. A lesson that I have learned from my first experience is that it is better get an appointment in the morning. As there were no other clients, and it was kind of awkward. The chairs for pedicures are dingy, and the basin looked like it hasn't been cleaned either. The nail file she used on my toes looked OLD and was very dirty. The rose under my feet was stained by someone's hot pink polish. I have tough heels and she did not spend enough time nor apply enough pressure scrubbing them; leaving them not quite smooth. The after product looks lovely. read more

I had a pretty bad experience here a year or more ago. I came back last weekend to give it another try. I called around 945am and said I could be there in five minutes for an acrylic fill. The woman said that was fine. When I got there, what I understood was that the woman had an appointment with someone else soon but she would get me started and then another tech would take over. That's a little annoying, but I've had this done at other salons so I said that was OK. But for the next hour, every time someone walked in the door she would stop what she was doing and watch what her husband was telling them. And she was looking around the room, stopping her work to watch other people. Or stopping to interject into other people's conversations. Or stopping to check her phone. She was dragging. Typically an acrylic fill can be completely done in 45-1 hour. The client I previously mentioned was done soaking her nails off, so the woman moved over to start working on her. I was sitting there with raw acrylics, barely filed. My nails were very misshapen and not uniform so I asked if she could shape them up more. She snapped "you're going to have to wait". I sat there like that without anyone taking over for about 10 minutes. Finally around 11 AM (when the other client stepped away to wash her hands) I asked how much longer I would have to wait. She said " just a little while". I had already been there for over an hour. I apologized and said I needed to get going. She said it was going to cost $40 and come back later to finish. I asked what time I should come back and she said "any time". Well if that was the case... Then 9:45 AM should've worked! I couldn't risk having the same thing happen later on so I venmoed them $20 and left. I went to the store and bought $30 worth of nail supplies to fix them myself. But I'm glad I didn't return because three of the nails have shattered off since then. read more

First experience getting my nails done on Chicago, and overall it was very mediocre. Went with a friend for mani/pedi since they could get us in. We got sat in the pedicure chairs early but had to wait a long time to receive service. I wasn't paying close attention, but I can't say that I remember them opening a new nail kit when they started, which makes me question the sanitation. The gel manicure was fine-- although odd. The technician did 4 layers of polish (not counting base and top coat) and when I asked for a linear design on my ring finger everyone seems thoroughly confused. 2 technicians tried a total of 4 times before I ended up with something reasonable (which ended up just being an squiggle line down my finger) At the end I tried to pay with a credit card and was told I had to Venmo. Probably won't go again unless I'm looking for something basic and I'm really short on time. read more
