The restaurant was a cool laid back vibe. They have a full bar and a large flat screen television. We were pretty hungry and we ordered the devil eggs with bacon to start. Also, lemonade and a delicious pineapple martini. The way that our waiter Jose mixed up that pineapple martini made want another one. They also gave us delicious hot bread. For our main course we ordered the shrimp pasta and steak with shrimp. For dessert we shared the brownie with salted caramel and ice cream. Overall, everything was delicious. A special thank you to Jose. He was extremely helpful with the menu , and making sure that we were fine. He went over and beyond. We can't wait to visit in the future. Kari stopped by to check in us once, and so did the floor manager, which was great. Things turned BAD when a group of about 25 kids from a Soccer Team showed up, and we were basically forgotten. Had to ask a busser for a to go box, then another server for our check. We sat for about 20 min simply while we watched Kari bring out food and ice cream to the large group. She never returned to our table. When the manager brought our check to the table, I politely told him how I was in the Hospitality Industry as well and was very disappointed with the service they provided. He apologized and thanked me for the feed back and asked if we would like some Ice Cream, and I stated NO that we just wanted to leave. He offered to take the ice cream off the bill if we got some but we again stated we just wanted to leave. He apologized but what he should have done was offered ice cream to go! Yes I did leave Kari G a tip and I will recommend Jaxson's to my hotel guests, but will WARN them of the poor service, and high prices!

I'm rarely the one who complaints, but service and food were horrible. First, my friend and I sat down (3 steps away from the patio bar) and took good ten minutes for someone to greet us (after I approached the bar and made first contact myself) We placed our order and after a long wait, we had to inquire about why it was taking them so long for something so simple (the place wasn't full) The order came out incomplete, the chicken wings looked disgusting (my friend couldn't even eat them and had to be exchanged), they almost took away an unfinished bottle of beer, I was charged for items that never made it to the table ... (sigh) and paid more than if we had sat down at an actual restaurant. It was Sunday afternoon, ok, I get it... but if you are not able to provide decent service in regards to food, why even bother! (It was hard to enjoy the first beer after an undesireable patron bullied my Latin male friend in the bathroom by stating "chicos are not welcomed here; this place is run by the KKK." The bartender was anti-Semitic. He laughed at my Yamaka and made some comment about the federal reserve. I was so uncomfortable that I left. Hollywood Beach has a very high percentage of Jews living here, I will never go back to this bar and anyone who is Jewish should stay away. read more
