Went there for dinner dinner after traveling for 12 hours. My wife and I were seated right away (there were probably 8 seated tables) and given menus. During a 20+ minute wait, two more tables were seated, their orders taken, drinks served and we still had not had our order's taken. My wife called to a waitress and she was completely ignored. The butter did not melt at all. I ordered the Logan medium rare. This is their signature sirloin so it should be ok. The first one came out well done. I'm surprised I overlooked remarking about this Logan's! My husband and I have eaten here at least a dozen times! We've been here as a couple, with other couples, and with my stepchildren, over the years. I'm sure I have dined solo here, also. I typically get the mesquite-grilled salmon 86 the rice and double the steamed broccoli. I've enjoyed the mesquite-grilled chicken and the pork chops, too! The service has always been attentive and friendly, and the staff have consistently fixed any issues that arose to our satisfaction. The bar is a good-sized bar and is where we always sit when eating here solo, or with the hubs. They do have a full bar and I've enjoyed their pinot grigio which is a good standard bar favorite, Ecco Domini. There's at least 1 TV in the bar. I'm happy Logan's is in this location, since it offers a consistent fast-casual dining experience, especially now that Ruby Tuesday's across the street shuttered several years ago. read more

My wife and I went to Logan's Roadhouse for supper. I ordered the 12oz ribeye steak medium rare with a sweet potato and house salad. My wife ordered the 6oz top sirloin cooked medium with rice and a house salad. My ribeye was over cooked between a medium and medium well. It didn't have any flavor to it. It actually tasted off but it was tender. When the server offers to bring a steak sauce for your steak you better second guess about the steak and the way it's cooked. My wife's top sirloin was over cooked also. It wasn't medium it was closer to a medium well. So, I don't recommend getting any kind of steak at Logan's Roadhouse in Athens, Alabama. read more

I decided to try Logan's because I was staying at a nearby hotel and didn't feel like driving anywhere so I walked the few hundred yards to grab dinner. It wasn't until I was at the restaurant and decided to check-in that I seen the two star rating. Apprehensive because of the negative service and food reviews I entered. I was promptly seated and greeted by Robert who came over within a minute of me being seated to grab my drink order and returned pretty quick with what I asked for. I had him give me a few minutes to make up my mind and finally decided on the Shrimp Stacked Salmon. A salmon patty with 5 shrimp on it and both on top of mash potatoes. I ordered broccoli and a garden salad with blue cheese for the sides. The salad was cold, fresh, and tasted pretty decent. The main "gripe" I have is the main entree took almost 15 minutes to come out after I had finished my salad. Robert continued to come to the table to apologize. When it arrived it was hot(ish). However, the shrimp seemed to have been cooked an while ago and the broccoli was old as well. The salmon was fine and the potatoes were good. Overall the place isn't too bad and is hit or miss I guess. When I am back in the area and staying in the same hotel I'd probably come back over and try it again. I was going to give it three stars as it was a pretty average experience but Robert gave it the fourth star. His attentiveness and level of service were very good. read more

Logan's is always a good road-trip stop offering affordable prices and delicious food. You get a lot of bang for your buck. It's too bad so many Logan's have closed across America during these challenging times. But hopefully this faithful location in Athens will stick around for the long haul. We always stop on trips between Nashville and Auburn over the past 14 years. You're not going here for a gourmet meal, but you'll always get a consistently good lunch or dinner much better than most comparably priced restaurants. Our server Tucker was outstanding, attentive and very accommodating. He was a great server, very pleasant and personable.

We ate here last night and were unimpressed by both the food and the service. While we were seated promptly and there were plenty of tables available, we waited 45 minutes for our food to be delivered. When we asked about the status of our food, our waitress was very rude and never apologized for the delay. Our kids' food came out 10 minutes before ours at the 45 minute mark and their steak bites were ice cold. 10 minutes later our waitress came by to tell us that they ran out of baked potatoes and needed to substitute fries. 10 more minutes later (an hour after ordering) our food comes, and our steaks are cold. Our waitress then tells me that they are still waiting on the side of corn with my meal and they will bring that out later. My wife sent her steak back and it was them way overdone after they put it back on the grill to warm up. My corn came 10 minutes after the food was delivered, and again, there were no apologies offered from our waitress and she appeared frustrated that we were asking to make things right. The steaks were sub par and over seasoned and the fries were bland. Definitely not worth $30 per filet. I would recommend you go elsewhere for a meal and better service. read more
