We have eaten at multiple Logan's previously and have always enjoyed our meal. Tonight however, it was tedious at best. We ordered long island ice tea and it tasted terrible. We were told only the manager could swap or refund acholic drinks no apology. The server was not rude but not attentive either. We asked for sweetener that was not brought to our table until we asked several more times. The facility itself was not real clean. Tables were dirty and the staff mingling with the customers were not clean and presentable. Skip this place. read more

Sad it used to be a staple resteraunt in Athens . We used to go 4 times a week and now we go once maybe twice a year to see all these restaurants ruined by bad service and people who aren't trained well enough to cook or is it they just don't care idk but it has took a major hit , need to close it and bring a Connor's or Texas Roadhouse so citizens of Athens have somewhere again to get a good steak , or it could be because they hire people on drugs idk what's wrong but definitely should be fixed !!!! Just ok, definitely not a Texas Roadhouse. The baked beans were like pinto beans from the can, the ribs came out burnt so they were sent back. The ones that came back were far from fall off of the bone. It's all I could do to separate the bones. The wood-grilled chicken was a disappointment. No manager in sight. The service was quite decent, very friendly server.(I have forgotten her name) The ambiance was nice, not too crowded. The food was decent, I ordered an 8oz sirloin, but it wasn't in stock. I drove into the FULL parking lot and realized this many people can't be wrong. Walking into the restaurant I asked two more families about the food quality.....they assured me it was very good!! I entered masked, KN95, to place my order. Receptionist was polite and extremely helpful. No mask!!! Decor was rustic and relaxing....focused on the family in a positive way. I ordered: 16 Oz. NY Strip steak was mostly very good. Maybe a little more fat than I prefer. Very tender but a portion or two were more tough. Next time I will order the 12 Oz. size "Huge"Baked 6-8 inch sweet potato was superior served with butter & cinnamon. No sugar. Broccoli was good. Serving rolls still excellent. I have dined at Logan's Steak House for over 200 tines since it opened in Lexington Ky. They have been my chosen favorite for many many years. They will always have my Vote!!! Staff is very friendly and efficient. I'm impressed. My only negative is hardly no one wore masks. This makes me sad. I ordered the 7oz filet mignon for $26.99 and got this! It was full of fat, gristle, and connective tissue. It did not look like it was cut from the tenderloin part of the cow, so we asked the waitress. She went and got the manager, and his answer was that they "butterfly" it so it cooks better. Nevertheless, it wasn't trimmed, it didn't look like 7 oz., and it definitely wasn't worth $26.99. When the waitress brought the check, I was surprised that it hadn't been taken off the bill. Ordered takeout after a long travel day and a walk along the Swan Creek Greenway Trail. Ordering online was easy, given a pickup time that we thought was a little long, but reasonable enough for dinner time. Arrived a little early to check in -- staff was doing the best they could with a visibly limited number of employees. Food came out about 15-20 minutes later than expected, but I'm sure the kitchen was as understaffed as front of house. Food was excellent and worth the wait, and exactly as we ordered it. I don't know what happened but tonight was horrible!!! The restaurant closed at 11pm. We got there around 9:30. Not a lot of people inside so my wife and I figured it'll be a good time to eat. We were absolutely WRONG!!! Seems like everyone was focused on closing for the night. The sweet tea was not sweet, the regular Coke tasted like Diet Coke. The rolls, steak queso and the potato skins were ok. As for the main means was horrible!!! Wife ordered the burger with waffle fries and I ordered the steak sandwich with waffle fries. The fries were cold on both meals, the burger was lukewarm, the meat steak sandwich was also lukewarm and the bun was not toasted and cool to the touch. Very disappointed especially since we'll visit here a couple of times a month. Another thing that bothered me was the fact that there was a kid behind the bar talking to the bartender. I even brought it up to the manager but she seemed unfazed by it. After talking to the manager I just paid for the drinks and appetizers but I felt that was still too much. The overall atmosphere was bad tonight and really disappointed at what happened. Ended up going to Wendy's for a burger. Edit: I received a message from Raymond H Business Manager of @Logans. Told me to email him about my experience which I did. As of this writing no response. I'll wait to see what happens next. Here's another update. It's been about 13 days since the business manager. I emailed him a couple of days after hearing from him. He's yet to reach out to me about my experience. This is what I mean. I work extremely hard for my money and to receive poor quality food and service is just ridiculous. And to not even receive a response AFTER you message me is unacceptable. Final edit: spoke with someone last week. Asked if my wife and I could come back to make up for their mistake and we did a couple of days ago. This time it was a whole lot better. The server was really nice and kept checking on us. Food was a lot better even tho my wife had to send her ribs back because they were lukewarm to the touch and she asked if they would heat them up on the grill again. Everything else was good. Only reason I can give them 2 stars is that the young man that was our waiter did a decent job. I was in a party of three and all three meals were disappointing. Ribeye steak was ordered medium rare and it was well done with very little flavor. Mashed potatoes were tasteless. Pork chops were "ok" as was the pork chops. Garden salad was good. For myself, I had the gumbo. What the serve as gumbo is basically white rice with brown gravy on it. The shrimp in it was bland but the sausage was ok. We did speak with the manager about it and she said that is just how Logan's makes the gumbo and she does not care for it either. It's not anything like any gumbo I've ever seen. ****FOOD ALLERGY EXPERIENCE **** I know that some have shared their poor experience, so I definitely wanted to share a positive! We have a family member that has a food allergy. Going out to eat can be such a challenge that sometimes it's not even worth trying. But last night, we decided to give it a go. As usual, I stepped inside to speak with the manager about the allergy (family stayed in the vehicle and waited for the answer, which is usually "we can't accommodate that allergy"). The manager seemed to genuinely care about my concerns, even explaining how they would prepare the food specifically for our needs. After the family joined and we're all seated, the waitress was willing to answer any questions regarding the ingredients. There was a couple of items she was unsure of, but she went and confirmed so there was no misunderstanding as to what we could order. Even with the dietary restrictions, because they were willing to cook it to our specifications, our family member had several options. My $22 ribeye was terribly thin. I slice my tomatoes thicker than this steak. Plus I got here at 11:10am and it took them about 25 minutes. Only two customers in here. Very disappointing. Worst steak I've ever had. The service was great. Food is awful. Beer was cold. Server was friendly. Food sucked.

My hubby and I went there for our 28 th anniversary Friday November 25,2022. He ordered a steak and fries. The steak was so tough he couldn't eat out at all. The fries were just bland frozen fries they had prepared barely cooked. I didn't try one. The waitress didn't ask him what steak he preferred she just brought a small tough piece of meat. That was odd. I ordered the rack of ribs with sweet potato and butter with no sugar and cole slaw. The ribs tasted like old old oil which is weird for ribs. My potato was very good but had some kind of sugar and cinnamon. The coleslaw was rancid not just bad. It had to be at least a week or more old. It was brown and bubbly. I put a taste to my tongue thinking it might be spices but no, it was rotten. How can a kitchen serve a dish that is that spoiled? Do they not have dates on their food? It was visibly rotten even. Coleslaw should never be brown. Only because it was my anniversary did I not cause a scene over this. I should have asked for the manager and demanded that he taste that coleslaw or asked the cook to eat it but alas I didn't want to ruin my day. The health department needs to look at the refrigerator in this place and review what they are serving. This is a disgrace and a health hazard for sure. This meal was not cheap. $60. read more

We went here Friday night because we had a gift card and I wanted a steak for dinner. I decided to order the $5.99 margarita and it was horrible. It was the worst I have ever tasted. It tasted like bad lemonade. I asked for another shot of tequila to put in it, and it didn't get any betterI even had the manager called over and he blamed it on their mix. I left it sitting on the table and had water. For $6 I expect a better product. There are less expensive tequilas to choose from - that actually have flavor. I'm convinced the tequila was watered down. I had not paid attention to what my husband had on his plate however, it was mostly fat. My filet was perfect! We will make the drive to Huntsville the next time we want a steak, which is sad since we just moved to Athens from Huntsville. read more

Tonight I had the worst restaurant experience of my life at Logan's... I have ate here 10+ time with kids in tow each time. I have 3 kids with me tonight, the oldest 15 says they want Logan's so that's where we went. We sit down get drinks and rolls served timely. Our waitress is super sweet, as any other time I've ate at Logan's. Our order has been placed maybe 20 minutes when a manager in a red shirt comes to tell me that my children 8 & 2 are bumping the wall and disturbing the customers on the other side, and she then asks can I calm them down. I was a little taken aback but I told her we would happily move to another table. I explained that since they are kids I can't promise they won't do that anymore. She said no that's okay. After this I'm uncomfortable, so I ask my waitress to have them put our food as to go so we can just go eat at home. We wait about 15 minutes and they bring part of my order out on plates, they instantly turn around once they see I had cleaned up the table. I'm waiting for about ten minutes for them to bag it with my son only at the table when I'm brought part of my order. I'm waiting for the rest for about ten more minutes when I start standing by the kitchen door with my crying toddler waiting for my last plate that I'm looking at waiting on one roadie burger. It's open sitting there so of course it's cold. It's off to the side, and noone is finishing it. My son is hungry/ ready to go now so he's having a fit and I hear something slide in my bag, I think it's bread in a smaller container, sadly it isn't. I see the manager who said something to me about the kids and I tell her I want a refund. She says why, and I tell her that she insulted me and my kids, and I've been waiting for 15 minutes for one part of our food so the rest is cold. She throws my bag in the trash by the sink and says she's doing the refund. I leave and can't find my phone. I'm so upset that I don't want to go back in so my sister went to see if I left it at the table. No luck but while she was In there the waitress tells her it may be in the trash. The manager also tells her it isn't her responsibility, which ofc it isn't. So I go back in to look in the trash, because I'm a single mom and this is an iPhone. I've worked in the restaurant field and done dishes many times so I'm not scared of a little trash. I'm telling the manager in a red shirt about how I want to see the trash can and she tells me to get out of the kitchen because I'm not wearing non slips and to meet her around back. I dig through a full can first, no luck. I dig through the second not full can and it's barely covered up at all. The manager acted as if she had forgotten which can she through my bag in. I said here's my phone and the manager in the red shirt said, "Well that was instant karma for you, wasn't it?" So naturally I responded that she could F off, and shot her a bird as I walked off. So it may not be instant karma for you ma'am but I hope it turns out to be some karma for you once people learn how a Logan's manager treats families with young children. read more

Logan's steakhouses are pretty even keeled, I'm good steaks good drinks. This one however should set the bar! Rachel the manager leads a top-notch team! The chili was out of this world you can never go wrong with the warm rolls and the ribs were truly fall off the bone! We travel with a world war II veteran and every team member that came in contact with him really appreciated both him and his service! Definitely 100% highly recommended! I'm just not the biggest fan of chain places such as this. Environment: It's Logan's, the house of broken shells and dreams, so it's not exactly going to be "clean". I don't like how close the tables are together. I understand wanting to fit as many in as possible but it's awkward to maneuver through everything. Food: Everything on their menu is SO heavy, even the "low cal" offerings. I wanted something light so I wouldn't feel as groggy after my meal but I had no such luck. I tried to caesar salad and an entree of chicken fingers with a skewer of grilled veggies. My salad was DROWNED in dressing with just a few croutons. I could barely eat it and eventually just gave up. The chicken fingers were okay but tasted like they had been fried in dirty oil and the veggies had a nice char and were actually really good. Service: I really wanted to like our waitress because she had a great personality but she was just so bothersome. She came to our table multiple times to ask for our entree order even though we told her that we were indecisive and needed time and even after we ordered an app and said we would flag her down when we wanted to order. One time she stopped by when my friend was on the phone and still proceeded to ask her what she wanted even though she could clearly see she was on the phone. It was just so frustrating. Overall: I'm just not the biggest fan of Logan's. I usually get great service at least but that just wasn't the case this time. If you want some nice yeast rolls and a beer, go for it. Don't be an idiot like me! I saw the 2 stars and read the negative reviews but thought perhaps Logan's had a few bad days and people were grumpy. Not the case! We waited 25 minutes for the unfriendly waitress to bring us our drinks...an iced tea and a Sam Adams. Finally one of the waitresses said they were out of Sam Adams (15 minutes later). I ordered chips and queso because I was starving and figured if we waited 25 minutes for iced tea and a beer how long would we wait for lunch??? Well...10 minutes later no chips and queso so I canceled it because the ribeye sandwich I ordered would be coming out any minute right? I should note that this was 2:00 pm and the place was almost empty. We had two waitresses neither of which gave us their name (possibly because they were embarrassed?). They brought my husband's salad out with the wrong dressing but no big deal they corrected it. Finally my ribeye sandwich ordered medium rare came out and it was a thin piece of leather I couldn't chew so I tried to cut it with a knife. It would have been easier to have removed my boot and chewed that instead and it likely would have tasted better. I can't express how bad it was. I have to wonder who owns this place or manages it? Went for our anniversary. Given rolls and drinks no silverware. Had to ask. Funny the second set of rolls was different from the first . We joked about a 15 minute roll rotation. We must have missed the pumpernickel and sourdough rounds I order a salad it took longer than 15 minutes and my steak came out as I was eating it. Salad was good Bad timing. Food was alright my NY Strip was more medium than MR but I didn't want to send it back. Broccoli was good wife dish was good. To finish we had the carrot cake. OMG worst ever It says served hot it was refrigerator cold. Says it has caramel sauce. It looked like a pineapple something because of the chunks. Rich and moist not so fast dry and crumbly was more like it. And the color of the cake was beige not the darker color you would expect. I asked in jest if the server made it. When we showed up, the parking lot was mostly empty, so we figured we would get right in. Three young guys were hanging around the front door, with Logan's shirts on so I asked if there was a wait for a table. They said it was at least 25 minutes, so I asked if we could sit at the bar, and they said sure. I noticed that less than half the tables were occupied so I was a little baffled as to the wait, but figured it was due to staffing shortages that everyone seems to have. Sat at the bar to order, but the young lady bartending was way too interested in a couple of guys sitting on the other side of the bar.
