Going up to the host station, the young man warned us that they were having problems due to an unexpected rush. It was several hours after the Indy 500 and apparently management misjudged the load of hungry race fans. Without a lot of other options, we decided to go with it. A wait of 10-15 minutes was quoted in a less than half empty restaurant, OK, we decided to sit at the bar. The lone bar tender was running ragged and could not even take our order before our table was ready, but she was very nice and pleasant. While waiting for our table, the host came over to the bar and engaged us in a nice discussion about auto racing and drag racing. Logan's Roadhouse Review I came here to try it out, despite the 2 1/2 star ratings. I've rated this a 2, which is uncommon for me, -most of my reviews are 5s. It didn't help to start, that I had to wait about 4 minutes at an empty greeter station until someone came out to welcome me. In fairness to her, she did apologize, and led me to my table. I was quickly asked by someone if I wanted to start with a beverage. Then, there was bread and butter brought to the table. I ordered an unsweetened iced tea. It arrived quickly and I ordered my meal. (The iced tea was good.) I ordered the 12 oz. Ribeye (rare) with a cup of chili and a salad. Within a few seemingly short minutes, the rest of the food arrived. I commented to the waitress that it was quick, thinking their process is to turn their tables quickly, but she said it was because I asked for the steak rare. The steak had a grey hue to it, and was noticeably thin, but the chili and salad looked good. I should've ordered the 24 oz. steak because when I was done trimming the fat and gristle from it, there was at least 4 oz. of that put to the side. (See pictures). I think their calorie estimates might be wrong on the menu too, because I definitely burned off a lot of calories wrestling with my utensils to get a decent amount of edible beef. I get that a Ribeye has a lot of marbling, but this was rough and tough. I will say, the chile was good (4/5), and the salad was good and fresh (5/5). But at a place that has Roadhouse in their name, I don't think the side salad should be their banner product! I think their corporate marketing and product teams are trying, but I think they should spend less time with gimmicks (like member discounts and butter of the month club for members) and more time negotiating with their suppliers of beef for better cuts of meat. With Texas Roadhouse a walkable distance away, this place is no doubt losing the battle. Maybe I'm wrong but I think these two, and Longhorn Steakhouse are all fair competitors, but after this experience, I'm hoping to remember to pass this one up for either of the other two. I've dined at both the other two and they leave this place in the dust. I did join the Logan membership, primarily to get the Welcome one time $5 discount, (thank goodness) bringing the $24.99 price to under $20. The good news is, my waitress was friendly, though seemingly unmotivated, and I showed my appreciation for her friendliness in her tip, which she had to share with the bartender and, unfortunately the greeter who was preoccupied when I arrived, as I said. In summary, I think this rating and review would probably be accurate for other locations as well, because it seemed to be a steak quality issue that is probably company wide. read more

We came here after seeing Fantastic Four, and I was surprised that it wasn't very busy for a Sunday afternoon. Our waitress, Alex, was fantastic! I love it when you ask about a menu item and the server gives their honest opinion. Everyone enjoyed their meal, but to be truthful, I did not. My ribs were not "fall off the bone," as described. We were in Plainfield for the All-Star shootout at Plainfield High School on a Saturday and came in for a late lunch after 1pm. There were very few people in the restaurant so we were immediately seated and our waitress came promptly and took our drink orders. She returned quickly and took our food order. I ordered the salmon and shrimp combo with sides of mashed potatoes and broccoli. The salmon was served on a bed of mashed potatoes so it was potato overload which probably wasn't good for my sugar but it was all cooked and seasoned to perfection, very tasty. My brother-in-law ordered a sirloin steak and he said it was delicious. Husband and I wanted to get a good burger and logans has a nice thick, juicy burger. I ordered mine with everything on it and a side salad. My husband ordered the burger and fries. Here are the small issues we had while here. The first was given my long work day I forgot to mention how I wanted my burger cooked. The waitress didn't ask she just assumed and cooked it well which made it a little crispy. The other issue was that the waitress didn't bring us refills and didn't check on us all that often and when she did it was a lot of excuses. I do not recommend this restaurant. We ordered two Logan steaks, each time they came out gray/brown, as if old and had been frozen. We were told they weren't frozen, but they weren't fit to eat, so they must have been old. Waitress was very nice, and apologetic. Good luck trying to get a job here, they had my fiancé come in two days in a row for an interview then told him he never had an application in when he filled one out on Tuesday, called Wednesday, went in Thursday had an interview and was told to come back Friday for a second interview just to be told he never applied! (We have a screenshot of when he applied) How would you have two interviews!?!? Make that make sense. So he was told to go fill out another application and to call the manger back to tell her he filled it out ,the manager was just rude to him, he would still be talking to her and she'd hang up. He just got an email back saying his qualifications for the position have been interviewed but there's not positions open at this time. We decided to go to Logan's yesterday for lunch. We went early so it wasn't too crowded. We sat in the bar. We noticed there was only one server for at least 10 tables. I asked her what her name was and she said Jennifer. She did an amazing job. We looked around to see if there was a manager or a bartender or anyone else working in the area or helping out But there was no one except for the employees that ran our food out to us. If I could, I would give Jennifer 10 stars-she definitely deserved it. She had a pleasant personality and even though she was running all over the place she always had a smile and stopped by to see if we needed anything. My baked potato was great but my kid's corn was cold and flavorless. Steak was not only overcooked, it was so tough and gristly that I couldn't cut it. This restaurant interior looks new. I don't know how old the place is but they have maintained a new look in the accommodations. The restrooms were also very clean which is always a clear indicator to me in how well a restaurant is managed. Who doesn't love warm sweet yeast rolls with butter? The perfect way to start your meal or enjoy with your meal. I have to admit I could make a meal on these rolls alone but limit myself to one. They are always hot out of the oven. I ordered the 6 oz Sirloin, medium well, which according to their little menu picture graph means slightly pink in the middle and that is exactly how my steak arrived. I also upgraded one side for an extra 99 cents to the BBQ Brisket Rice and also went with the low calorie green beans. The rice tasted just exactly like a BBQ Brisket basket. I found one small chunk of meat in it and wished there were more. Surprisingly both rice selections on the menu were lower in calories than all of the potatoes in what ever way they were prepared. The wife ordered the same 6 oz Sirloin, medium well, and her steak was also cooked to her specifications. This is more rare than the norm. Usually one or both are not exactly to our order, but not here. I feel comfortable ordering medium next time and I'm not worried it will be too red. You can still get a 6 oz sirloin steak, salad and baked potato for 10.99 here. The filet does cost about $23 or so but it is a full 8 oz so enough to have leftovers for lunch the next day. The granddaughter ordered her usual chicken tender strips and the Waffle Fries. She has been here once before and absolutely loves their waffle fries and will only eat waffle fries from Logan's. We miss the peanuts and hope they will bring them back sometime but understand with Covid it is not possible to share buckets right now. read more

It's comparable to Texas roadhouse or Montana mikes and that's a good thing, can't go wrong with their potato skins and I loved the crab cakes. Decided to stop in here for lunch as we haven't been to Logan's in forever since they closed the one close to us. We were promptly seated however it did take our server a while to come to the table considering there was just a couple tables. But once she came to the table she was on it. We quickly received our drinks and rolls. They were playing country music and Christmas music so that was a nice addition to our lunch. We ordered fried pickles for an appetizer. They were a little greasy and tasted like the grease might have needed changed. I ordered the grilled pork chops, loaded baked potato and Caesar salad. The pork chops were juicy and had an amazing grilled taste. Would absolutely recommend and will order again. Hubby ordered Buttermilk country fried chicken with broccoli and mashed potatoes. He really enjoyed it and would order it again. The gravy came on the side despite the menu saying it would be on top. The chicken is similar to chicken tenders. The breading was crispy and light. Went to Logan's in Plainfield IN. On 02/15/2025 First thing they need to do is purchase and use a plate warmer, everyone's food in our party of 4 was cold, they did take the ribeye back to the kitchen and microwaved it (?) the ribs were actually cold like they had just taken them out of the refrigerator ! and the pork chops were maybe lukewarm and the sweet potato was barely warm and the baked potato wasn't warm enough to melt the butter on it. Both meals that had chicken tenders were hot. Our server said that several people had complained that the ribs were cold! Logan's Roadhouse in Plainfield, Indiana is a complete disappointment. I went there exactly 1 week ago with a friend and my teenaged son.| My son ordered the Chicken Pasta with sausage. When he receieved the order after two bites he couldn't eat it because the sausage was over whelming. Oh did I mention this was a 'Chicken' Pasta? I didn't see any during the meal. When I decided to transfer into the take home container the chicken fillet was cut in half and layed flat out at the bottom of the dish. Surprise! Apparently I was suppose to cut up the chicken into bite size pieces myself! That's what a $15.95 chicken pasta at Logan's Roadhouse in Plainfield will get up: cut your own damn meat! Terrible. Carry out service terrible and two stars is being generous. I rarely make negative posts about restaurants because I always give them the benefit of the doubt especially while working in the pandemic. I place my order at 6:00 pm on a Thursday. My order is estimated to be ready by 6:30 PM. I arrive and park in the designated carry out spot and call the "carry out" number displayed on a sign. I was then told that they aren't allowed to bring out orders anymore and I would have to come inside. I walked inside and asked for my order. It wasn't ready. I waited until 7:00 PM and decided to ask a server to check on my order since the two main hostess failed to do so. Paid $80 for an order just for them to mess it up. I hate to give bad reviews but it was not a pleasant experience. Our waitress, Kayley, was not present at all. When she first came to our table, she mentioned she was busy but the restaurant did not appear full and we were one of three tables in her section. After we received our food, we did not see our waitress again until we were almost done eating. We had to request the hostess for a drink refill and she did not bring it. I had dinner at Logan's while visiting the area for work. I sat at the bar and had a couple drinks. I ordered a sirloin steak (cooked medium) with green beans and a baked potato. The green beans were good but a bit salty. The baked potato was good. When i cut into the steak, i found that it was well done.
