Lunch is the way to go! I have been here several times over the last few months and lunch is so much better than dinner for me. We have had problems with the steaks. On the menu you can get a crispy buttermilk chicken sandwich and one side for $8.99. And the side is a soup, salad or a side like a potato. I have gotten mine with French onion soup every time. This time my soup was not hot almost lukewarm. But the flavor is good. I like it. The chicken sandwich comes with all of the fixings. It is a great value and there are other items on the menu like a steak burger or a salad with steak. And everything is under $12. The new shrimp appetizer they have is phenomenal! The reason for this four stars. There are probably 30 shrimp on the platter! Honestly, I could have ate it just has my meal. The service was OK. The restaurant could use some fresh freshening up. It seemed a little dated. My steak had a lot of fat and gristle on it. ( I got the ribeye.) I know ribeye is supposed to have some marbling, but this was that really tough gristle fat along the edge that took up a lot of the weight of the steak. It's clear that she doesn't care about her job. Even talk to the manager, and there was absolutely no apology. In fact, he tried to blame us for the "miscommunication" in telling us how long it would be before we were seated. No it was not our problem. It was theirs. They told us 15 minutes and then continued to see people in front of us thereby seating people at the tables that would otherwise be free for us to sit at since we were a party of eight. Came here to catch up with a friend on a Friday night and get the lamb chops! Business was steady. There was a 20 minute wait. They were able to accommodate us with a booth. We were extremely disappointed but we're here now. So we went with the 6oz. Renegade Sirloin with 8ct. Redrock Grilled Shrimp Parmesan Cheese Crust steak and Brussels . Upgraded the steak to 8oz for $2 and added Parmesan crusted to the steak and Brussels for $2.50 additional per item. It comes with rice that was not done it still had crunch. The Brussels would've been good but the sweet sauce is just too much. Luckily most of it sat at the bottom so I was able to eat the top. The steak was tough and I took the shrimp home. I at one which was fine. Unfortunately our heart was set on lamb chops so honestly I don't think anything else would've been good. My recommendation is to make an insert or additional small menu when you have the lamb chops in stock. Honestly this was my first time eating here I had a great experience!! And the rolls oh the rolls!! Amazing!! The service was good especially since it was busy!! But everyone was nice and since we sat in a booth they put my walker by the cashiers stand!! Super thoughtful!! I have always enjoyed this restaurant in particular because of the wings. The are cooked to perfection and oh yeah don't forget the chili sauce that puts the taste over the edge. For the first time I tried the corn on the cob and I tell you it is a must try! This place hits in all cylinders. As a side note which I normally don't post but I feel it is important to mention. My wife is allergic to garlic which we know is in most foods. However, as a normal procedure we alert the waitress/waiter of the allergy. On this occasion we emphasized throughout our ordering food and made sure the waitress understood. My wife ordered salmon which didn't have any garlic on it but the glaze had garlic on it. It wasn't until my wife lip started swelling that we knew something was wrong. We were getting in the car and decided to go back in the restaurant to inform the manager what happened. He listened and said he was aware of the request it thought the situation was resolved. Then he stated he immediately knew what happened and apologized. Luckily my wife had medication to stop the swelling. I asked the manager if they can implement a policy of having the manager come out to discuss the allergy so ensure there is no miscommunication. This. Old have been a tragic situation as I have taken my wife to the emergency room on three occasions. We are hopeful that a policy where the manager will be required to address any allergies and personally handle the food until it is served. My co-workers and I have ordered lunch here many of times. The lunch has been wonderful. However, today lunch not so much. My coworkers and I all ordered the lunch hamburger and the burgers were supposed to be medium well and medium. They all were well done. I don't know who cooked today, but they should get their temperatures correct. We were all at work so we couldn't go back and change these burgers, but just wanted to say whoever needs to know their temperatures on burgers when people order them. I ordered the Parmesan (hair) Crusted chicken, which was phenomenal until I cut into a black hair (which happens). That was all okay, until my precious niece was chewing on a lemon with a black hair hanging from her mouth also... at this point in the review I've rushed to the bathroom fighting for my life on the toilet... maybe too much Pantene in my dinner? I placed an online order around 6:30 on a Friday. Ordering was fairly easy to navigate through. I haven't been to a LongHorn in ages so we thought we'd try it since it's nearby. I chose the pickup time for 8:30 pm. I received a call from LH saying that they ran out of wings. Wings? Already? On a Friday? It's still early. We spent close to $100 on our order (3 steaks with sides) so I asked if there were any accommodations since they ran out of wings. Her response was you get your money back sweetheart. Oooooooook. This food better be good because this is NOT starting off well. I picked up our dinner coming from work and waited for my order in the "to go" parking spot after I let them know I was here on the app. Had a quick exchange with the lady that brought my food out and I went home. I must say that in spite of what happened earlier we were VERY pleased with our order. The steaks were cooked perfectly, my crab soup was delish... everyone was happy with their meal. We actually liked the food better than Texas Roadhouse if we are talking about the entire meal and not just steaks. Will definitely visit again since it's so close to home. I received a Longhorn gift card for my birthday back in July. Always love receiving good restaurant gift cards that we can use at our convenience. We visited the West 86th Street location at Trader's Point on this visit which is just a couple minutes off of I-465. Ample parking including upfront handicap parking. Tables are limited due to Covid-19 so be prepared for a short wait if visiting during peak hours. Masks are worn by all servers and required for guests until arriving at the table. They will remind you a mask is required if up are moving about (restroom). Our server was attentive, friendly and efficient. She gave us enough time to browse the menu without leaving us hanging and returned promptly with our drinks. Hot, fresh bread and butter followed quickly. We usually order an appetizer (try the Firecracker Chicken Wraps or Seasoned Steakhouse Wings) but tonight we passed for their excellent house salad. We appreciate the option of having a burger, steak sandwich, salads, salmon or chicken options as well as a good steak. Tonight my husband ordered the ribeye, baked potato and side salad. The steak was seasoned well, tender and perfectly grilled. He always enjoys the flavorful steaks and baked potatoes here. I ordered the filet, baked potato and side salad. I love the fresh, crisp house salad loaded with veggies. The filet was the perfect size and incredibly tender. For dessert, I can highly recommend the Caramel Apple Goldrush. It's their version of an Apple Dumpling with Fuiji apples and Jim Beam caramel sauce. Large enough to share and amazing. The lunch menu is served Monday through Saturday 11:00 - 3:00 p.m. with a nice selection and reasonable lunch prices. Soup and salad, sandwiches, half sandwich and soup or a delicious steak sandwich are just a few of the items on the lunch menu. All of the appetizers are served as well. For our side we had a fly in our salad, and when we called the manager she just replaced our side and said something along the lines of 'this happens all the time'. Having lost out on my spring break vacation which was to be a cruise I was in the mood for some good steaks for dinner. Luckily even while we are under the current virus shutdown Longhorn is open for pickup. They had emailed me about various family meal options. This was just what I needed to pick me up. The options are pretty broad but i already knew I wanted the sirloin steaks. It is very easy to use their website to customize your orders. For example you get a salad but my son won't eat onions so I put down not to put them on the salad. All told we got 4 steaks, 4 side items of our choise which was two macaroni and cheeses, and two baked potatoes, a large family sized house salad and bread for $48. It was so reasonable added a $15 bottle of excellent wine and a dessert. Pickup was very easy they will bring it right out to you. All was done right on time and ready to go. Took it home and it tasted great, almost like eating in the restaurant except its my own table. The steaks tasted great and were cooked to our selection. The salad is quite large in size you can probably eat more for lunch the next day. Baked potato was also great. All was still warm when I got home. The Merlot wine was excellent and a great deal at $15. I would highly recommend this location to visit or get the to go menu. read more
