The food is always delicious and consistent. The tenderloin and spaghetti are my favorite dishes.

The service was extremely slow, she also had a bad attitude, complaining about her day, and very sarcastic. The fried pickles and southwest wrap were good, however the chili cheese burger was atrociously overcooked, very disappointing, we also ordered two hot dogs which were very gross, we could only stomach one bite, even though to add Mac and cheese (+$1.99) was an option for the wrap listed below mine I was charged $4.25, as well as charged $2 for a side of shredded cheese which she told me would only be $1, my girlfriend asked for sweet tea and was given unsweet, safe to say we will not be returning to this location step it up martinsville Monrovia is looking much better! read more

We have been to the Main Street Grill many times and have never had a meal we haven't liked. From the Prime Rib to the Ribeye Steak Sandwich to the Grilled Tenderloin, onion soup, Catfish, Fish & Chips. Make your Cheeseburger is also another item if a burger is what younwant. It's a busy place, hard to get in on Fri, Sat evenings. The servers work pretty hard, and last week, we did notice at least 2 people cleaning the tables. It looks like especially on the Friday, Saturdays they could probably use another good server but really, no complaints about the service. Rest rooms are kept clean, and the bar makes pretty good mixed drinks. If a 4.5 score was allowed, that would be my score. read more

after an hour and 22 minutes into this experience, I finally got my SANDWICH, yes, a sandwich and it was disgusting, couldn't even touch it, the bread was soggy, and it was cold, 2nd drink was made wrong. I was with a group and alot of the other groups food was just as bad.....1 hour amd 37 minutes for a pizza, it's a Sunday, no excuses....the sever said the cook cursed her when she asked where our food was after over an hour. we as a large group will not patronize again read more

I want to support local business, but the food needs work. After a long closure, I've been in twice with the Fam. Quality of food is mediocre at best. Music is too loud. There are no booths. Fries are horrible. Wings are decent, but sauce flavors are misleading and not labeled correct, pasta dishes are either bland or way over sauced. I may go back again in awhile to see if kinks have been worked out, but maybe not. There's only so many places I'd give my money to, and Oh-for-two means I'll be dining elsewhere for awhile. read more

So glad I decided to try this place. My parents and I go to lunch somewhere every Sunday. Over the last year, portions have been smaller while the bill has been bigger. Not at this place. We had fried pickles. Fresh with homemade ranch. My mom had the special, a steak quesadilla. Dad had the catfish filets, I had the breaded tenderloin and onion rings. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT. My dad had NO complaints which is HUGE if you knew my dad. Will definitely be back. Great staff also! read more

This local spot has a shotgun style layout with a dining room on the left and bar on the right. A six foot wall acts as a divider and serves to block the view and noise from one side affecting the other. Since I was by myself for lunch, I chose a window seat on the bar side after being directed by the bartender to grab any spot. Before long, I was greeted by the waiter who took my beverage order. When he returned, I was ready to order a Mushroom Swiss Burger and my choice of side, tater tots. The waiter mentioned that they grind and mix their burgers in house but didn't mention what cuts of meat are blended. I was asked how done I wanted my sandwich. The wait for my order was fairly brief and arrived hot! The burger was broad and flat, not overly thick. It had a nice sear on it and maintained its juiciness. The Swiss was plentiful and gooey as it slowly stretched from the mushrooms dangling when I lifted the sandwich to eat. Nice flavor! The tater tots were seasoned with a house blend that reminded me of a celery salt base. Very tasty! The portion of tots was large enough that I ended up taking the remaining ones to go. Note that there was free street parking and a small lot behind the building that is shared with other businesses on the block. There is another local restaurant on the corner next to this place, so be sure you are entering the right doorway. The restaurant is only open for lunch of Friday and Saturdays, otherwise, you have to wait for dinner time to try their offerings which includes, sandwiches, burgers, and steaks. Liked this one. Although this place is nothing fancy, I really enjoyed it. When we were here on a Friday night, it was a nice and relaxed atmosphere. We even got a table for two by the window. I had the grilled chicken with mushrooms and Swiss cheese. It came with a house salad, baked potato, and sat atop of rice pilaf. All were quite tasty. A large portion of food. Being that it was a Friday, they had half off their bottles of wine. I chose the Moscato since it had been a while since I had something that sweet. Whenever my glass needed refilled, our server was right there to pour it for me. That was very nice and unexpected. This place was a good value for us. I had a large meal with a full bottle of wine, my husband had a Philly steak sandwich with fries and a glass of Blue Moon. Our total bill was right around $35. Can't beat that! If you find yourself near Monrovia, I encourage you to stop in the Main Street Bar & Grill. My son and I stopped in for lunch there. They had some great classic rock playing, and the restaurant had nice big booths. There is a dine-in area as well as a bar area, so families and adults both have places to sit and enjoy themselves. We both ordered burgers, and they were really good! The beef was very tasty -- very little seasoning, but the meat could stand on its own. Perfectly cooked, too. My son had fries, and they had good flavor and crunch. I had onion rings -- Shazam!! They were just he way I like; I bit into them and was able to bite through easily. Too often, you bite into an onion ring, all the batter falls off, and you pull pack a long string of blistering onion into your chin. Not these rings! They were perfect. We went in for lunch Tuesday and immediately I could tell something was different! We sat in the bar as we always do and noticed new stools, which I thought were an upgrade from the old ones. We were greeted by the bartender who was friendly, but we hadn't met her before. Upon sitting we asked for menu's, those were new also. New items on the menu & price increases. We ordered the enormous nachos & a couple beers. I was thinking so many changes here, must be a new owner? Well, when the nachos came, they were the worst! Absolutely sickening! The grilled chicken was gross! The frozen crap you get from a bag! Not what we are used to getting at this bar! We've had a lot of meals here including steaks, tenderloins, wings burgers, fried pickles, fried fish etc always was the best quality & the freshest! Poor quality liquid cheese sauce, over browned chips, red onions, black olives & Jalepeno, that's what comes on the enormous nachos. We will not be coming back any time soon! I went tonight at 4pm with my two sons. We had different type of steaks ,sides were potato, salad, broccoli and green beans . Fried pickles, egg rolls and potato skin as appetizers. I had the 9oz prime rib and it was excellent. It was cooked perfectly very tender and juicy falls apart in your mouth. My fiance had the philly cheesesteak he said it was the best he has ever had.Taylor was our server and he was GREAT very friendly and funny and toom care of us very well we never had to ask for a thing and drinks never got low. The whole building was full not an empty seat in the house but we got our food very quickly. We will definitley be going back. read more

For a small hole in the wall restaurant this is by far one of my favorite places when I'm in need of some good bar food! Their tenderloin is amazing, probably one of the best I have ever had. We ordered takeout from here because we'd heard it was so good. Called the order in & was told it would be ready in 20 min. - went there 20 min later and they hadn't even started on our order (and there were only a few customers there so they weren't busy). Luckily we checked our order before we left. We ordered blackened whitefish - it wasn't prepared blackened, it was "regular". We had two side salads & didn't get either one of them with our order. We had to go back into the restaurant to get the salads. We ordered French & Ranch dressings for the salads (and the waitress repeated back to us what dressings we wanted) & we realized received two Ranch dressings after we got home but no French. We ordered a BLT and that's all it was - bacon, lettuce and tomato on toast. No mayo. I was told that mayo was an extra charge?? I was also told that if you want lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and/or mayo on a hamburger it's .25 for each topping. I've eaten at a lot of restaurants and this is the first one that I've seen charge for toppings that are normally standard/no charge on burgers! .25 for a few slices of onion? Or a few pickles? Totally price gouging! If that wasn't enough, we realized after we left that we were charged extra for one of of the salads that was supposed to be included with the BLACKENED fish dinner. So for our visit it wasn't a question of what went wrong, it's more a question of what was right (very little)! We won't ever eat here again or recommend it to anyone else. read more

Ate lunch at Main Street Bar & Grill. Honestly, I was not expecting much. Boy was I WRONG. This place is a definite winner. Well worth the short drive from Indy. Granted, my lunch was a burger and fries, but honestly it was one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. Other restaurants the typical burger is mostly on the dry side and shrunk. Not here. The fries were better than any of their competition. Had really good 70's-80's music playing which was at just the right level. To top it off, the service was excellent. The food and great service is why it gets 5 stars. Our waiter made sure we had everything we needed and we also always had drinks topped off. Please, do not be put off by the looks. I've been here a few times for the prime rib. Was always pretty good. This time, it was terrible. More fat than meat. I showed my waitress, she got the manager. The first thing out of her mouth was, "there's nothing I can do about it". No offer for another piece. No offer to knock something off the bill.
