We've come to this restaurant once or twice before. We had good experiences beforehand. But this visit will make sure we never go back. Our server was nice and visited often. But the food was mediocre at best, you had to drown your fries and steak in A1 sauce to make them edible. And the table was very dirty, and our menus sticked to the table. Yesterday at noon, my wife , my daughter and I decided to have a steak in Plainfield, I usually go to TX Roadhouse in Avon but I decided to give Logan's a try , walked in very friendly staff put our orders my daughter and my wife ordered the 6 oz steak but I decided to pay the $2 extra and get the 8 oz, food arrived with reasonable time, I was surprised to see my steak (should be 8 oz) is smaller than the 6 oz then look at the plate looks like they did their best to save on everything , rice had some hard ones and my wife had the same problem, you can count the rice quantity of less than 5 spoons , seriously people rice is so cheap make the plate looks worth what the customer is paying , My steak was over cooked , vegetables didn't look inviting at all, I just paid and we all looked at each other and said not this place again for a long while. It wasn't a good dining experience, they need o work on the quality of their food , quantity and presentation . for sure it will be a long time before they see me again. read more

I ordered a healthy dish off the back of the menu. Apparently it doesn't happen often because what they brought me was a small plate with a piece of chicken on it, neglecting the side salad and broccoli that come with it. The food was fine but the service was lacking. The fact that the waitress, food runner, and a third person who may have been a manager didn't realize right away that something was amiss was disconcerting. They also tried to convince someone at my table the the steak melt was the same as the steak sandwich, which another glance at the menu proved to be untrue. I walked in and was seated immediately, I sat down and started eating the peanuts on the table. I was looking at my phone, returning emails and text and I realized I was thirsty. Salad not fresh, daughters hamburger was warm and meat was tasteless. She had one bite and lost her appetite. Steaks were not bad, but yet not good. Butter used on baked potato and for the hot buns had a weird taste. Son ate his lobster and the dipping butter was horrible. Chicken fillet was no more than a frozen piece microwaved. Even the bucket of peanuts were stale. The waitress was very attentive and we didn't have to pay for out meal. I left her a $20 tip, as this meal for 3 would have been at least $65. I was not pleased with this restaurant at all. The service was slow. The cole slaw was rotten and slimy. My husband took a bite and had to spit out. The last time I had been to Logans was a few years ago. I was never going to go back. My steak sucked as it was overcooked. My sweet potato was stringy. They replaced it. The 2nd one was worse. My broccoli was so overcooked it was mush and they replaced it with nuked broccoli that was uncooked. Our waitress was also bad. But on August 22, 2014, I tried it again. First off the waitress was top notch. I ordered a salad - Southern Steakhouse Salad which is grilled steak, romaine lettuce, chopped bacon, fresh avocado, diced tomato, hard-boiled egg & yeast roll croutons. I ordered salad not expecting much because of my previous experience. But this salad was awesome. I had it with peppercorn dressing but my waitress also brought me ranch in case I did not like it. But the peppercorn was perfect. I would definitely eat here again and it won't be years before I go back. Don't know how the rest of the food is, but judging by the steak in the salad they have hired people who know how to cook. read more

It IS a steak house. The decor isn't original, the peanuts on the table aren't new & the menu while really tasty & well prepared isn't "to die for ". That all being said, the reason I will go back is because the staff took service to a wonderful level. My mother in law had the "kicking chicken salad " & it was listed as having a bit of spice. It was too spicy for her. The manager Heather stopped by the table just as my mother said she wouldn't send it back. Heather went swiftly to the kitchen & had a plain grilled chicken breast back to our table within 15 min. In between those minutes she made sure to stop & tell us that it was on the grill. And she delivered it to our table herself. That kind of service is to be applauded & rewarded. We did both & we will go back. read more

I would give this a negative star if I could. Never in my life have I sent food back, it makes me feel extremely uncomfortable and I usually just suck it up and deal with it... however; my experience this evening, I had no choice. I ordered the Logan's Roadhouse grilled chicken, which was a roadhouse favorite.. I had had it before on Mother's Day on 2018 and it was fine- Well, tonight, it was so undercooked that I could still see the red in the chicken. It was supposed to be served over a bed of rice pilaf but it came with literally a tablespoon of rice instead. My husbands drank sat empty for over ten minutes... we had to request our rolls two separate times to two different waitresses. My Caesar salad was good minus some brown lettuce and my margarita was ok. I was disappointed that I didn't get an apology about my dinner- the manager said he took it off our bill but the waitress did say there was no way she would have eaten the chicken either, even saying "you probably feel sick now, huh" in a joking manner. I hate even having to leave a negative review and I hope it gets better- I would like to return but not much faith that it will get better.. proceed with caution. I went to Logan's with my mom on Monday. I'm currently 8 months pregnant. When we walked in we were taken to a small table at the very back of the restaurant despite all the open tables. I understand the peanut shells are part of the decor there but I slid on shells, the floor in the drink station area was super wet with puddles of water everywhere. The small booth for 2 was cramped and when I asked to move the waiter told me all the booths were the same size. The table wasn't level so whenever we set anything down the table would rock. While eating my salad I found a hard bristle in it. At first I thought it was hair but it was very hard. I informed my waiter and he apologized and took it back to the kitchen. Our food was decent but not great considering the price. We were charged full price on everything despite our complaint with the salad. Our drinks were also pricy. $3 or a tea and $3 for a diet coke. Our waiter was friendly but didn't seem very interested in taking care of us. A manager happened by and asked how our meal was. We told her about the salad and she took $4 off our bill. Still almost $30 for lunch. We won't be going back to Logan's any time soon. read more

This was one of my favorite sit down restaurants. It's really gone downhill it's been progressively getting worse over the years. My wife and I ate there last night and the food was good. For some reason we started out with one waitress and then got switched to another one. She was polite but inattentive or too busy. It's funny though the place wasn't even half full. The previous waitress didn't seem too busy along with the 6 other people standing around playing on their phones and chatting. I had to get my own to go containers for the wife's food. I wanted another beer but after my glass stayed empty for 10 minutes I was starting to get the hint that maybe it's time to wrap things up and leave. I had to hunt down the waitress again to get the check. There were no paper towels in the men's bathroom. The wife's mango margarita tasted like lemonade. I could've ate a good meal at home I come for atmosphere, experience and the food. I think this is the worst experience with this place so far and I think I'm done with this restaurant at least for a long long time. read more

Horrible visit. After a long day of out of town business my coworkers and I decided to go to logans for dinner. I order filet and lobster. I have never seen a steak and lobster so over cooked. The meat was tough and oddly enough very cold for being so over cooked (both the filet and lobster). The side of mash potatoes were Luke warm at best and this was confirmed by one of my coworkers that had ordered mashed potatoes as well. My other coworker complained that his steak was over cooked as well but ate it because he was so hungry. I had one bite of each piece of meat and brought it to the waitress attention. She asked if I would like another meal and I declined but asked to speak to the manager. After waiting I asked another waitress if I could speak to the manager and waited longer. By now, our original waitress brought the bill and charged me full price, at this point I asked to see the manager again and finally she came over. I asked her what she thought my dinner looked like and she responded with dry and over cooked. She removed the price of the filet and lobster but charged me for the macaroni and chesse as well as my soda. While trying to find contact information I learned that logans is going through bankruptcy now. I laughed and said no wonder why they are broke, they cannot retain customers with this type of service. I hope logans enjoys the $3.90 I paid for my soda and crappy Mac and cheese.
