Had a retirement dinner there tonight for 25 people and the service was wonderful. The staff we had serving us did a amazing job.

Food was terrible. My husband got a partly rotten sweet potato and when he got a replacement potato he took a bite and said it tasted funny. He smelled it and had me smell it and it smelled of perfume. Our steaks were tough, rice was dry and crusty, and my husband is pretty sure his cut wasn't even a sirloin it was of such poor quality. We obviously didn't finish our meals and I submitted a complaint on corporate website. Hopefully nobody gets sick! read more

We are road tripping across America so we are not from the area. Stopped here because my husband wanted a steak. He ordered a ribeye medium rare. Anyone that knows anything about steaks can tell you that it should have a pink center. His steak comes and our waiter asks for him to cut into to make sure it was how he wanted it (Our waiter did a great job and this review does not reflect the service). It was completely brown. The waiter apologized and immediately took it and asked the cook to redo it, the second one came out the same way. The third time the manager brought us the steak. He cut into the steak and it was still brown, but he said we will keep it because we really didn't want to send it back again. We then realized the the steak was on the more rare side, but was completely brown. That means that it had oxidized. We know that means that those ribeyes have been refrigerated for days to the point they changed color and were not fresh. We have never had a problem with a Logan's not having fresh steaks. We would not recommend this location. read more

Pro: COVID safety measures were in place. Employees wore masks over mouths AND NOSES. Social distancing was easy because there were very few customers at 5:15 on a Tuesday. (Maybe because word has gotten around about their steak.) Cons: My wife's 6-ounce sirloin was closer to rare than the medium she ordered. My steak, on the other hand, was so tough that it was hard to cut, much less to chew. My "loaded" baked potato had a few sprinkles of bacon bits and a few sprinkles of cheese. Not very loaded. The broccoli was good. We did not complain as we should have, probably because I don't like confrontation. We just won't go back. read more

Ordered a 16 oz riveted, medium rare. 30+ minutes later, our food comes out and my steak is medium well. Took 10 minutes to get the waiter over to have my steak redone. Another 25 minutes go by, and my second steak comes out medium well again. Our waiter really didn't show any sense of urgency. However, my steak was comp'd. Won't be going back. read more

Every single thing we ordered was undercooked EXCEPT the medium-rare steak. Granted, it was still cooked better than some I've had, but a good bit of it was charred to a medium-well and inedible. Unacceptable for a ribeye. Our son's corndog was still frozen in the middle. We sent it back for another one and it was exactly the same, so our son ended up with no entree. The french fries were so undercooked they were pale and mushy. My wife took one bite of her cold potato soup (with a fork, since she didn't receive a spoon) and was done. Additionally: -The hosts (2-3 of them) didn't know which tables they had available, so it took us 30 minutes to be seated, despite having multiple available tables not being utilized. - the trash in the men's bathroom was overflowing. -the entire women's bathroom had only one roll of toilet paper. My husband and I don't like Logan's based on prior experiences, but it had been awhile so we decided to try it again. We had masks with us, because science shows they help, but we had forgotten them in the car. We walked in and were greeted by two hostess who had masks "on", as in they were around their necks. We were told we couldn't be seated unless we had mask. Policy is policy, I'm not mad at that at all, but for them to tell me that with theirs around their neck rubbed me a little wrong. Oh well. We get seated after grabbing our masks, just to wait 25 minutes to get our drinks. Keep in mind we we came to Logan's because there wasn't a wait, because there were only 10 tables full in the whole building. Finally got drinks just to wait an hour and 20 minutes for 4 steaks that were supposed to be medium rare. Server asked us to cut into them to make sure they were correct. He was just as disappointed as we were to see 4 6oz pieces of beef jerky on our table. We had waited so long and had tired kids with us, we couldn't wait for replacements. We ate them then asked for our checks. I am no Karen. I have never asked for a manager. But tonight we did. Our server's response was "he's too busy, he's currently grilling".... so the manager served four pieces of jerky tonight. read more

Our family stopped in for lunch and we ordered, and I had the mesquite smokin wings. I take my first bite and noticed it wasn't hot on the inside and appeared severely under cooked. I took a fork and dug into both sides and the meat wouldn't even disconnect from the bone. Told the waitress and she took it back. 10 minutes later they brought out the same wings that they threw back on the grill including the one I attempted to eat. I was like come on you can't even give me a new one, and the one that was in my mouth was put back on the grill with other peoples food. At this point, I'm not eating anything else from here when their food handling is this horrible. Manager came over and was nice and she offered me something else, but at this point I'm like screw this dump. Looking at recent reviews I can see why this happened. P.S. Was just finished dinner and the food was subpar. The reason for the 2 stars was the service. We're not from the area but still. It took over 10 mins before someone even came to our table to take our drink order. Eventually she made it over and brought bread while we waited but no plates, so napkins were the substitute. The service was so slow we decided to order our apps, entrées and drinks at the same time. The manager did comp one app for the long wait for the waitress - which was nice. But we finished the apps before the drinks even came out. The drinks took over 10-15 mins to get to the table and she also let us know they ran out of mix so someone wasn't getting a drink - didn't offer to get her something else until someone in our party mentioned it. Our food came shortly after, one order was wrong and items were forgotten from another. Our waitress walked by our table numerous times, blatantly ignoring us. We had to stop her to get a refill for drink. When we were ready for the bill she again ignored us and we had to flag her down. Eventually we got the checks - thank god we had cash so that somewhat sped up the process. To top this fabulous service off, as we were leaving she stood at the door and just looked at us. As the party behind us followed through the doors she said, "thanks! Y'all have a great evening." Smh I'm sorry but service like this is just unacceptable. oh and when traveling we tip AT LEAST 20% when dinning out but the food runners should have been paid more than the waitress. Used to go here all the time a couple years ago,the declining service wasbig reason to stop going. Then, one time was so horrible we haven't gone for over a year. Today, waited over 5 minutes at the door, we were never acknowledged. So I have to thank the Richmond KY, Logans location to make Logans the place to never go, ever again. Love eating at this restaurant. Food is always on par and have never had a issue with what my family has ordered. The only issue I ever had was the last time we went we waited for a booth for 35 minutes and when we got inside was pretty pissed when we noticed half the seats in the restaurant where empty and not being used for service. read more

We frequent the Richmond location and very rarely have any issues. On May 1st we went and were pretty disappointed in the food. I ordered chicken and gravy which was very good. My husband ordered the filet and as anyone could tell, it was NOT a filet. It was a sirloin and he opted not to make a big deal of it. Worst experiences at any restaurant ever. I've never written a bad review but it was that bad. Previous experience: never received our appetizer and server only checked on us once. She was basically MIA. Came back years later hoping things would be better: Took 2 HOURS to get food AFTER being seated. They were out of one of the steaks, rice and potatoes but we didn't find that out until we'd been waiting at our table for over an HOUR. Food wasnt worth the price or the wait. Spoke to management - nothing was ever offered to be comped or discounted but we were given some free dessert coupons to come back. That's not happening. Not ever. read more

Let's just say.... this was a horrible dining experience. Server was great though. We both ordered a ribeye and when mine came out it was either a New York strip or Logan. (I worked at Logan's for about a year or so a while back and have never seen a ribeye come out the kitchen like that. Wish I would have taken a picture.) We let the server know and she even mentioned that it looked like a Logan and not a ribeye. She stated that she would let a manager know. The salads had came out with the meal so I at least had that to munch on while I waited. The manager actually came to the table with the steak and stated that it was in fact a ribeye but it was a thick cut and then proceeded to show us the line of fat it had. My boyfriend wasn't having it and asked for them to please remake my steak that wasn't so thick then. When the steak came out, it was a small cut and it came with a plain potato even though I had ordered a loaded potato. At this point we were fed up. I asked for a to go box and let the server know about the potato situation. She apologized, brought us boxes and brought us the check also. When we looked at the check, they were still charging us for the loaded baked potato I never received and didn't even take off a dime for the steak problem we had encountered. I asked her to at least take off the loaded baked potato I never received. She then brought the check back. It had -$10 on the check which.... ok, that's half of what the steak that I took three bites out of was. (Mind you that I'm sure they purposely gave me the smallest ribeye cut they had even though I ordered the 12 oz.) overall just a horrible experience. Never again. read more

We had dinner here tonight, and the both of us had an enjoyable time. It was busy, but then, it was Saturday evening, UK was playing, and the weather was decent - so lots of people were out. We had about a ten minute wait, which was fine. Our waitress was super nice, and checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was good and to see if we needed drink refills. Even though she was very busy, she didn't forget about us and kept returning occasionally. She earned a good tip. Her name was Dixie, and we both felt she provided excellent service. Our food was hot, made to order, and arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Again, the place was pretty busy, so we had maybe a 10-15 minute wait on our food order. read more

I have been a server before so I understand what a tough job it is. That being said, I will not return here to find out if it was a one time occurrence. We came in with a party of 5 on a Friday night around 9:30. It was not busy. We knew we wanted an appetizer (with extra sauce) so we ordered that and our waiter told us he'd bring out rolls while we decided on our meals. No rolls. We ordered our meals. Appetizer brought out by someone else, no extra sauce. Our waiter was M.I.A. for a good 20-30 minutes. Maybe longer. Who knows. We are pretty patient people. At this point we needed two refills, sauce, and still no rolls. Rolls and sauce were eventually brought out right before the food, when there was only crumbs of the appetizer left. And only one of the two refills. Our waiter does realize this a few minutes later, but instead of bringing a fresh glass or filling the glass at the table with a pitcher, he asked to take my glass. You never take the glass to the kitchen for refills!! That is so unsanitary! It just gets worse.. Our food finally comes out. Two people were missing salads, my whole entire order was wrong. I ordered the moonshine salmon and shrimp and was served chicken and barely opaque shrimp. I could actually still see through the barely cooked shrimp. No moonshine glaze. My daughter ordered a steak, cooked medium. I (who personally prefers medium rare), almost freaked out looking across the table at her plate. She hadn't even cut into it and there was a massive pool of dark blood sitting on her steak. I could tell immediately that it wasn't "medium." She cut into it and sure enough, it was on the raw side of RARE!! Like raw tissue rare. No exaggeration. At this point I'm angry. How can you mess up this much? And hear me out.. I HATE sending anything back to the kitchen! The missing salads came out and one of them had very visible, VERY brown wilted lettuce. He pushed it away. I had to get up and take my now crying infant out to the car, and advised my husband to check our daughter's steak for anything suspicious. I was highly disappointed and disgusted. 15 minutes after sending my meal back, her steak had come back out. Husband said they just threw it back on the grill. Nice. And mine still had not been brought out. I told him to tell them to remove mine from the check. I don't think I've had a dining experience where they have failed on such an epic level, until tonight. Idk what was going on with the kitchen and wait staff but my God. Just ridiculous. We will never be back! read more

One of the best parts about Logan's is the free peanuts. The floor is littered with shells and provides a bit of laid-back atmosphere for everyone. Every customer is offered rolls that are hot, fresh, and melt in your mouth! One of my favorite items on the menu is simply the cheeseburger. The meat here is a higher quality than you might get in your standard burger joint. I also enjoy the sirloin steak with baked potato, though, in my experience, the steak has been hit or miss in terms of its preparation and quality. On the other hand, the burger has always been a hit. The service is quick and efficient. I have been to a variety of Logan's over the years, and I have never had a terrible server. I always make a point to go to Logan's when I am home. The closest thing I have to it where I live is a Texas Roadhouse. read more

At 7pm there were only 4 other tables besides ours. After looking at the menu and looking up pictures of the plates, I decided to order the Bayou Fried Shrimp. Several minutes after placing my order the waitress returned to tell me they stopped serving the dish at 6pm. She showed me on the menu that it stated this fact. Three things bothered me... one, the times were so small it was not apparent without someone pointing it out. Second, the waitress should have told me that when I ordered. Last, with so few people in the restaurant, WHY could they not throw shrimp in the fryer. You would think that they would be happy to have any business they could get. Bad customer service, we won't be back. With a 2.5 customer rating, it appears lots of other people feel the same way. read more

I went here last weekend. They were packed! The server was very attentive but not up in our face, and I really appreciate that. The food was delicious. My filet mignon was cooked as requested. I will definitely be going back, when I'm in the mood for steak. I really have no complaints! The salad was fresh, the rolls were awesome, and I got to enjoy talking with my family without someone asking me if the food was okay every five minutes. Went here for dinner with two work colleagues last evening (1/25/17). We were seated promptly and greeted by our server and provided menus and beverages. Our orders were taken by the server soon thereafter. About 10 mins later we were given a basket of rolls. Then our wait began----the server returned about 40 mins later and announced that our meals should be up soon, that the manager was having to cook in the kitchen. No drink refills were offered. After one hour the manager brought our orders and after we stated our long wait time, she apologized and offered to half of checks. Unfortunately, our steaks were over cooked, tough, and were warm at best. The baked potato was cold. Very sad service and poor quality of food! read more

Took our son to Logan's for his birthday. We were excited as it was the first time going out for a meal post Covid. The excitement soon died after our waitress "Morgan" brought the rolls in a basket, 3 cokes, and had the plates for the rolls UNDER HER ARM PIT!!!! Needless to say we did NOT use the plates. My sons steak was NOT medium rare, the steak juices,were brown. He did not complain, and ate it. I had the "Roadies" which were dry and overcooked. Due to my husbands job, we did not have another 45 minutes to wait for anything to be recooked. As we were preparing to leave I brought carrying the plates under her armpit to Morgans attention, in a very sincere way, letting her know people would not want to eat off of a plate that came in contact with her skin and armpit. Yet she left in a "huff" Needless to say, we will not be returning any time soon, Pretty sad, as this was our favorite steak house. read more

We went to dinner at 7:30 PM on Saturday, Oct 10, 2020. We waited 30 minutes for hostess and to be seated. We ordered our meals. Rolls and drinks were served immediately. Thirty minutes after ordering were told they had just served the last of the baked sweet potatoes. Our food came and my Alaskan cod was raw and center of fillets were still cold. The manager was made aware but never approached our table. It took us another half an hour to get our check because the Mgr had to remove the cod dinner. Super waitress that kept apologizing for something she could not have helped. The manager we seen from a distance looked very frustrated. When we finally received our check, there was a charge for a loaded sweet potato that they were out of. We will not visit there again. read more

Used Uber and ordered the American Burger (second time) with fries. It came at a reasonable time but the burger was overcooked and bone dry, no condiments at all. The fries were yesterday's fries, they were cold, not even a hint of warmth, hard as nails and weren't many there. No ketchup either. I will never order from this place again and would encourage anyone to think about other options before visiting this restaurant. I guess since you order Uber you can't send back inferior food. Horrible experience, I would expect an $11 burger to have a little more flavor than I could get at a Sonic or McDonald's, which are actually pretty tasty. read more

The food is definitely the highlight of this dining experience. The rolls are little, fluffy pieces of heaven! The Roadhouse Steak Cobb Salad is my go to, but they prepare a pretty awesome filet mignon as well. I personally don't like the peanut shells everywhere, but I guess that's what they are famous for. The waitresses tend to be a little slower than expected, but not horrible. And if you choose this place to feast, make sure to cap off the end of your meal with some Strawberry Margherita Cheesecake...You'll be very glad you did!! read more

Well this is the second time I have been to this Logan's in Richmond KY and let me tell you , worse experience ever , couldn't use our coupons , the place wasn't busy at all and when we did get our food BOTH times which I got a sirloin .. the steak had no seasoning on it at all literally taken out of the pack and thrown on the grill , i gave you guys a 1 Star because tonight the waitress was great and that's about it, also the first time we visited I asked for a To go sweet tea and the guy mixed a sweet tea and Dr Pepper together. The New York Strip is a lie. It's a very very thin cut of low quality meat cooked in a warming tray and then thrown on the grill to match how well done you want it. It was flavorless and a rip off. One of us got the smaller ounce sirloin and it was a far larger steak. The place was generally unclean. I wanted to tell someone how disappointed I was with the cheap cuts of meat they poorly cooked, but no one asked or cared how our dinner was. I think they exist just to rip off people passing by on the highway. read more
