Not recommended. My husband and I went out for dinner last night to try Logan's in Saginaw for their prime rib and when we got there it was almost an absolute disappointment. First I should have known better because when I walked in, one of the hostesses (which there were three at the front desk) was stuffing her mouth with food( I thought that was very unprofessional, you would think they would have gave her a break sometime to eat) and not one of them smiled at us or welcomed us. That should have been one of my first Clues. Then after a 45 minute waiting we finally we're seated and the waitress that we had must have been having a very bad day because if she would have smiled it might have killed her! I try not to judge people because you don't know what they've been through that day but when they treat you like you're really bothering them to ask for anything then you really start to notice.(she did get everything we needed keep that in mind) I was very very uncomfortable because I felt like I was at a sad funeral. Not one person was friendly or even smiled , I was totally shocked because I get along with every waitress I've ever met and usually we have a great time! The sad part is, to top it all off when they were cleaning the tables I noticed one of the young ladies were at least 5 feet away (no joke) from the table when she was spraying the cleaner and she did not even want to walk over because she was still wiping a different table. The cleaner actually sprayed on the people on the opposite side and myself.(It was on jet stream) Not a lot on me but I felt it. I am 100% positive that they're supposed to spray the rag first in a downward towards the floor and then wipe the tables. (The actual proper way to do it is, clean the tables and then sanitize it with a sanitizing red bucket.) I guarantee you that the people on the other side had cleaners on their food. I know there is a wall between the tables but I noticed there was like a space in between the pieces of wood and I noticed that the people looked over and we're not happy. Actually I probably would have been very angry and they kept their composure. I was very impressed! The thing is I thought she was the only one probably doing it but then I looked around and there was another one doing the same thing but not as far. Thank God but probably 3 feet away but she was doing the tables that were next to each other. I was just very very disappointed because we were really looking forward to truly having a very good meal but because of the Ambiance my food set right in my throat and I could not even digest it because I felt like I was treated like I was an inconvenience. Maybe this was a very bad day for everyone and maybe they're not normally like this, I hope not. Like I said I tried to give the benefit of the doubt and try to be positive but it was such a bad experience my husband even said he would not give him another chance which is totally weird for him. It has to be really bad for him to complain. I hope everyone has a better experience than us. To end this on a good note... the food was very very good! My French dip was very good! I came to Logan's around 8 on a Tuesday night with 11 other of my family members and the place was almost empty. Drinks, peanuts, rolls, and fried pickle appetizer were all good. However, things fell apart quickly when the food came out. The Caesar salad I ordered was drenched in dressing to the point I couldn't eat it anymore. I ordered a 8 oz sirloin cooked medium and got at most a 6 oz steak that was cooked medium well. My brother ordered a ribeye cooked medium which was also delivered medium well. My cousin ordered a NY strip streak cooked medium well and got his medium. What a joke. You would think a steakhouse would know how to cook a steak correctly!! However, the seasoning atop the steaks was tasty!! Overall, Logan's has a good base, but needs a few changes. read more

Went on mothers day, so I knew it was going to be busy, but this was ridiculous. Waited 25 min for a table , when there was over 10 tables empty. Waitstaff walking around, on their phones, drinking in the back, not clearing tables. One set of 4 tables pushed together was dirty the entire time we were there. A manager finally cleared it while the waiter sat and was on his phone. When we ordered, the waitress didn't know if it was happy hour or if they had a certain drink available. Asked for dressing on side, no onions, salads came out drenched with onions. Ribs were dry, no sauce. Was hoping to at least have a good dessert, only to find out they no longer carry the bucket desserts. I'm done with this place. read more

Ordered a steak medium and while it wasn't overcooked, the meat was VERY difficult to cut. toughest cut of meat ever. My dad's steak was tough as well. Visited here on a late Friday afternoon to take advantage of their 2 for $14.99 Special. Took over 5 mins to be seated in their nearly empty restaurant. Finally seated in a new servers sections. Drink and app orders went smooth. Server was a little shy of really knowing his menu so, entree ordering took a touch long. Apps came out in decent time and we dove in. Both fried apps tasted like fish. They both smelled like fish. They were disgusting. Spoke to the manager, he admitted that sometimes the fish is fried with some of the other food. Said he would take them off the bill. Get our salads a whopping 2 mins before our entrees. My salad is completely frozen. One entree was returned since it had been ordered with gravy on the side and the food was completely covered with gravy. While waiting for the re-cook, server took bf's glass for a beverage refill and never brought it back. Had to get up to get our own drink refill. Not a good night nor good impression of this restaurant at all. Manager did listen to our concerns and did comp our bill of the little bit of food we actually did eat. read more

It seemed promising from the beginning but quickly became a terrible experience. My husband and I (both 23 years old) went out to eat at the Saginaw, MI location. Our waitress was pleasant and quick to get our drink/food orders (Coke, Water, two 6 oz steaks with Mac n cheese, loaded baked potato, and mashed potatoes as our sides) and said she'd be right back with rolls. She came back shortly with drinks and again said she'd be back with rolls. Then 5 minutes or so go by and she comes back to check to see she brought us our drinks because she forgot (she literally said that) and then once again said she be back with rolls. Mind you, she only had two tables at the time. Then 25 minutes go by and we get our food and shortly after that we FINALLY get 2 rolls. (For reference, other tables being seated are getting rolls already so it's not like there aren't rolls to be given.) We begin eating and our steaks are good as well as the potatoes, but the Mac n cheese is ice cold. We tell our server when she comes to check on us and she said she'd bring new mac n cheese. At this time I also asked for more rolls. She said no problem. She came back shortly after to let us know that they had to make a new batch of Mac n cheese so it will be a few minutes and then proceeded to take our cold Mac n cheese to the kitchen--also once again did not bring back any rolls. About 3 minutes later she comes back with the mac n cheese in considerably smaller bowls and is extremely hot to the point where you'd burn your hand touching the bowl. Still didn't bring any rolls. The Mac n cheese was literally so freaking hot. It was obvious that they put one of our first Mac n cheese bowls in the microwave and split them up and gave them back to us. At this point, we were just kind of over it and wanted to leave. I went to the host station and asked if someone could bring our bill because we weren't happy with the experience. We paid our bill and still left a decent tip considering the experience. Last night me, my husband, and our 3 kids went to dinner at Logan's in Saginaw. We sat at our table for an hour and a half and still were not served our dinners. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told there was a back up in the kitchen and they were running behind. The tables around us had all turned over with people coming and going. Other people received their dinners. We were the only table that sat for an hour and a half and weren't served our dinners. We're clearly a Muslim family and it was clear discrimination. Finally we decided to leave. On the way out, again I spoke with the manager. I told him how strange that we were the only table affected by the kitchen back up and told him we were singled out. Food was decent pretty much what I expected from a chain steakhouse. Service was so so, had to wait for a table for a few mins even though the place was pretty empty. Waitress was very nice but I think she forgot about me since I didn't see her until I had finished my meal. My fiance and I went here early on a Saturday evening. We had a very short wait before being seated. The rolls were yummy, and we really enjoyed the sirloin steak with onions and the grilled chicken. Can't go wrong with the large beers, but it's usually best to avoid the mixed drinks. They were pretty weak, and the long island my fiance got was not made right (We should have known better). I went to Logan's for lunch and ordered the French dip sandwich for lunch. I started eating my sandwich and I didn't think it tasted right. When I opened it and looked inside it was nothing but fat. I picked off most of the fat and put it in a pile and told the waitress. She brought it in the back and a few minutes later came out with the bill She apologized and told me she took it off the bill and said the cook told her they made the French dip from prime rib and that's why it was so fatty. I LOVE Logan's, it has all my favorite comfort foods. Let's be honest who doesn't like the bread rolls. I never leave without having a sweet potato, and love trying different entrees on the menu. I'm a very picky eater so the simple but tasty options available are perfect for anyone looking for a good meal. I would love to give five stars however the service has been spotty. The most recent time I ate they I had one of the best waiters I've ever had, he was so charismatic, and attentive without being smothering. However recent times we've had waitresses that seated us but didn't come back with drink/ to take our order for 15+ minutes. Bottom line the food makes up for the occasional lapse in customer service. read more

My husband, toddler, and myself went to dinner at the Saginaw Logan's tonight (8/29/18). When I arrived, it took them about 10 minutes to seat us, even though it wasn't super busy. Once seated, I watched the host walk towards the waitress for our section and she was immediately annoyed that he had seated us there and said something to him that I could not fully hear, but said something about not wanting another table right then. While she was never outright rude to us, it was obvious she was not excited to be waiting on us. We ordered and our food took quite a while to come out. Both my husband and I ordered a half rack of ribs with sides. I opted to pay 99 cents for the mac and cheese side upgrade because in the menu it looked delicious. When I got it, it was disgusting (see pic). It looked like it had been on someone else's plate, refrigerated, and then warmed up again. We told the manager when he walked by and he did go in the kitchen and get me more, some that looked a little more appetizing. The ribs had good flavor but were a little on the dry side. It then took a really long time for us to get our check as well. This has been my second negative experience at this Logan's, and I'm not sure I'll be going back anytime soon. read more

I wish I could give this review no stars. I base this review on three separate experiences. And this goes for the Saginaw location only! We live in Saginaw so it's easier for us to come to this location than the midland Logan's. Our kids love to come here, but I will NEVER come to this location again. We came here one night during Christmas with two of our youngest children, and our meal took over 45mins to come out then the steak was rare, when ordered well done, so it took even longer! Next experience we ordered to go one night... Literally easiest order of a burger and a chicken strip dinner. We got the burger and a chicken dinner covered in this nasty gravy sauce. Also, the waitress who took the order over the phone was a total moron, so I should have known our meal was going to be all messed up. Last, and last ever experience was to tonight. I took my family out and it started off kinda rough. Our hostess was pissed off about whatever, and it showed all over her face. My hubby proceeded to watch her and another girl cuss eachother out. Next, our waitress was super nice, however she was super slow!!! ((Mind you, the restaurant was not busy at all!!! Maybe 15 tables full, and a full wait staff)) it took almost 15 mins to get our drinks. We finally got our food and although my food and my kids food was good, my husbands burger looked like it walked out of the slaughter house!! Ordered well done, the burger looked as if it was thrown on one side and the other for two seconds. It was completely raw. NASTY!!!! The kids were starving, so we finished our meals, NEVER had our drinks refilled, and finally after what felt like a million years the remade burger came out. The manager came around to apologize, but was obviously more worried about flirting with the table of girls sitting next to us. We just got Togo boxes and left. But the true kicker is a table to the left of us sat with dirty dishes the entire time we were there!!! Which was a good hour and a half!!!! I chalk these horrible experiences up to poor management. I'm sure there are a few diamonds in the wait staff, but management is a complete joke, it shows as soon as you walk in the door with fighting hostesses and dirty tables. Me and my lovely boyfriend of 2 years came here for our Valentine's Day dinner. We had a gift card, and we aren't generally into the whole country look as we are alternative people, but we had an absolute blast. Our server was the best server we ever had. He was on top of everything and not super pushy. Forgot his name. The servings were huge and they had free peanuts. Atmosphere and booths are so stinkin cute! Ordered take out from our hotel right next door. Two burgers, a side of mozzarella sticks. Asked for well done fries with a side of mayo for my wife. I was told 15 to 20 minutes. Walked over and arrived 15 minutes later. After waiting for another 15 minutes, a guy came out and said we're waiting on your rolls and then your food will be right out. 10 minutes later still no food. I told the girl at the counter that I was told my food was ready 10 minutes ago, and I figured the fries would now be a bit soggy after sitting so long. She told me they would redo our fries so they would be fresh. My food finally came out 5 minutes later with out my drink. Finally got my drink and headed back to eat our dinner. There we're 2 additional orders of fries with our meals. None were well done and all four orders were cold. The burgers and mozzarella sticks were mildly warm at best. Very disappointed. The rolls I have to say we're hot and fantastic. $39.12 for an extended wait, slightly warm foods and good rolls was a bit much. The one star is for the fact that we got good rolls. So here it goes my fiancee and I go to logan's once in a blue moon for a date night, tonight 8/24/18 just happened to be one the dinner started out great then slowly descended into chaos. We got there and we were told it was a 10 minute wait to be seated, that's all it took, off to a great start. After we get seated we order our drinks, they both came out and they were both right. We are 2 for 2 so far. Then the chaos starts we are waiting for our food and people are talking about how long it's taking, we get 2nd drinks people around us are getting their food. The waitress came out and apologized multiple times during this but after almost 2 hours, after ordering mind you, then we see the waitresses arguing with the kitchen staff and customers are getting up to leave. The last straw is after all this a couple got there an hour and a half into our wait and got their food before us. We asked for our check so we could leave, the apologetic waitress said we would not be paying for our drinks and so we left the only saving grace of the saginaw location is that phenomenal waitress. My husband and I stopped here about 9pm on a Monday night for dinner. There was no one at the hostess station and about 5 minutes we were seated in a nearly empty dining room. There was one other table with 3 other customers. The waitress came around and gave us the drink specials and menus. She came back fairly quick with my water and my husbands ice tea. She asked if we wanted any appetizers and when my husband said no. She said.."um...okay?!?" kind of snarky and turned away. We kind of looked at each other but were like ok..maybe it's a bad day. She came back about 5 minutes later, an acceptable timeframe to take our order and dropping off the rolls. A few minutes later my husband had placed his now empty ice tea to the edge of the table. The waitress came back to the table to drop off my husbands side salad - and that's literal. She dropped the plate on the table and shoved it at my husband didn't pick up the empty ice tea or acknowledge it. As we sat there a guy walked by reeking of weed, when I commented on how strong the smell was, my husband pointed out it was a Logan's worker as the shirts say the restraunts name on the back. 10 minutes still no refill. The entire time I can see the one other table Was having problems as well. There were drink specials listed on promotional things on the tables and apparantly the one on their table had outdated pricing. When the mgr was called over he refused to honor the pricing that his staff left on the table and that group was discussing leaving...they hadn't been even given water and they had been there for about the same amount of time as we were! I called the manager over and we told him about the attitude and poor service. At which point the manager said you haven't even received your food, how could you have had bad service? Really? Wow..so apparantly customer service doesn't start till you receive your entree. (Oh, by the way, when the manager was called over was when his tea was refilled...which is even more frustrating because he pointed out there is always a pitcher near where we were seated. Pure laziness. ) then the mgr. seemed flabbergasted when my husband said a worker even walked by reeking of weed and said, " I'm sorry you were offended by that." and " they aren't allowed to leave on their breaks so I don't know how that would've happened." My husband and I both went to college, we know what weed smells like. Beyond that, don't do it at work! Then the manager said well what can I do? We said nothing, this was not the first time we've had poor service here and that we were leaving. He wanted to know about the last time, which I felt was just waiting till our food came out. As we went to leave the waitress came with our meals and the manager said, let me comp your meals. We declined. Here's the deal, I don't want a comped meal with still crappy service. Get it together, there are many other choices out there and I've given it a couple chances - still not good. Go to Famous Dave's, Outback or anywhere else! read more

Walked in and the hostess started cussing because she had to seat us. She mumbled under her breath all the way there, then apologized to the server for seating us. It was 9pm. Server is the only reason we even stayed. I ordered medium rare steak, was well done. Fiance did like his spicy chicken sandwich and the rolls were good. Fiancé ordered Sam Adams on tap and server came back saying they were out. I heard TWICE someone yelling in the kitchen "hurry up and order! I wanna go home!" We already had our food by then. Not a horrible experience, not the best either. Came here with a large group on a week night. The server was quick to get our drinks and take our order. We noticed he didn't write anything down when we ordered. We took bets on if he were to get the order right or not. Well, when you need to remember the order of 14 people, that can get tricky, cause he only got three people's order right. He was super attentive and understanding when it came to fixing what we ordered, but he wouldn't be looked down on if he wrote our stuff down. Overall, those who got their orders wrong were okay with it, cause we got TONS of extra food for free because of it. If this happens often, I have no idea how this place isn't losing lots of money every week. Oh well. They seemed to be out of a lot of food too. Granted, it was 6:30 on a Monday night, but being out of two kinds of soup, caesar dressing, and a type of liquor is a little ridiculous. Obviously the kitchen manager isn't doing their job. The waiter was also slow on refilling drinks after we got our food. I went the entire meal without water even though I asked twice. The food was good. A friend and I shared a meal and had plenty left over. Even though the order was wrong it was delicious. Another friend mentioned she was disappointed that her salad came with dressing on it. She didn't finish it all and couldn't take it home because with dressing on it it would turn gross by the next day. so beware of that if you order a salad. Other than the wrong orders (which we were okay with from all the extra food we received), food that wasn't available, and bad salads, all was good. We'd probably return here if we were in the mood for steak or brisket. read more

We ended up here even though we really wanted to eat at Outback, so I don't know if this location was really bad or if it was just disappointment because we're comparing it negatively to Outback. My husband and I were really not too impressed with this place. The salads were excessively cold. My husband ordered his steak medium and I ordered mine medium well; both of ours were very close to well done. The manager offered my husband $3 off the bill because his steak was so overdone, which was at least a good gesture. We also ordered the baked potatoes with everything on them, which was an extra $1 charge for each so I expected a lot more toppings than what was included. As far as chain steak houses go, Outback is much, much better than Logan's. I will say that the service was very attentive, though, and there were two buckets on the table, one of which was for disposing of your used peanut shells. I had only ever been to Logan's once before and it was a definite improvement that they weren't tossing the shells on the floor today. read more

Poorly cooked steak. The cut of meat was good but was undercooked and cold when I finally got it. My wife had filet and it was perfect..The seating was close and I kept having to lean to my side to let the staff by. I had a terrible experience at this location. It is FILTHY, disgusting due to customers being allowed to throw peanut shells on the ground. Isn't that some sort of health code violation? Our server must have forgot we ordered appetizers because they didn't come out until after our dinners. It took an hour just to receive our dinners. She came out to our table and told us it would be "a while" because "the fry cook just got slammed and her manager told her to come out and tell us that". One of our friends had to wait an hour and a half for her food because the cooks didn't even send it out. Our server had to go in the back and ask for it. The on duty manager brought her dinner out, apologized and didn't offer to compensate any of our meals despite the hour long wait. I haven't even got to the TASTE of the food... Those of us that ordered wings got tasteless, sauce-less, COLD chewy chunks of chicken. Appetizers; cheese fries, Fries loaded with greasy cheese and bacon bits. The best part of the dinner was the free peanuts and rolls. I also wouldn't recommend ordering the sour apple drinks or the hard teas. Unless you're there for cheap happy hour pricing. read more

I had my sons 17th b-day party at logans, thaught it would be a great place, NOT!!!. The food was horrible!. 5 people including myself orderd steaks. The steaks were so dry it looked like beef jerky. Not to mention how late the food was served, I had a total of 25 people in my party, and only 2 of them had gotten there food within 15 min. The rest of us had got ours about 30min later and then, my husband and my sister didn't get there food until the party was just about over!. 1 of my quest orderd nachoes, and the darn thing didn't have any meat on it. another quest was served partially raw chicken with her meal !!!. Service was slow. It took us about 10 minutes before we got our drinks. This happened at 2 pm and there weren't many people. We didn't see our waitress very much for refills either. My glass was empty for a while, seems like they need a little more training. My wife liked their flavored tea. It also took a long time to get our food. I got a spicy chicken sandwich which had good flavor but seemed like it went from the deep drier to the bread, it was really greasy. My wife order a buttermilk chicken which she liked, it was a huge portion. Two large chicken breasts and mashed potatoes smothered in white gravy. My wife took the kids to the bathroom and she said it was disgusting and could tell it wasn't cleaned, sinks dirty, toilet paper on the floor, toilets didn't look to be cleaned. A good tell on the quality of a restaurant is how clean the bathrooms are. I also noticed that a couple in a booth sent a steak back for not being cooked properly, it was fixed and camelback quickly.
