I had a terrible experience with a manicurist. She drilled off my edges instead of cutting and I was in so much pain. I texted them my concerns, the owner told me to come back and she would do whatever design I wanted. I came back for that exact reason and this lady said she CANT do for me for FREE. The reason I came back is because she told me she wanted to make things right but when I came in, it was different. Terrible customer service. DO NOT COME HERE. They lie!

So disappointed in my manicure today. The edges are so smudged, air bubbles in the gel, terrible job on cuticles. The only reason for 2 stars was that my daughter liked her manicure. I wish I had noticed these details while I was there but I was drenched in cuticle oil at the end. Likely to cover up the terrible paint and cuticle job.

came in for pedi and mani and they charged me 135 when i was told the mani is 55 for short gel x and 45 for the pedi with acyclic toes and then the guy who did my nails tried asking for to zelle him for a tip when he literally had my fingers bleeding and burning. getting your nails and toes done is supposed to be relaxing and it's been a few days since i got them done and they're still irritated

DO NOT COME HERE!! I've been here twice both times this place has been so dirty. I just removed my nails and I noticed one of my nail beds was green!! They do not sanitize their materials and now I have to get antibiotics because of this disgusting place!!

First off, they say the wifi password is their phone number but it's not. When I asked repeatedly what the PW is, they acted like they didn't understand. Secondly, they charge $5 extra to take off gel polish which is Not posted anywhere. Lastly, the place is old and dirty. I won't be coming back. The technicians do a rushed job and try to upsell you to get additional services. The pedi itself was basic, nothing special.

I have been meaning to try this place and finally did. First thing I noticed as I walked in, was it looked clean, modern and pretty decor. The lady at the desk greeted with a smile which was nice. I noticed they sanitize their tools and use clean ones on each customer which I loved. So far I was really liking it and was just waiting for the results of my services to decide if this would be my new "go to place". The prices were higher than my last place but figured with good service and sanitized tools it is worth it. I got a gel manicure ($30), lavender pedicure ( $35) and eyebrows wax ( $10) . When I paid they charged me $95 which I did question to myself as I had noticed their cost was higher but not that much...but paid it trusting the woman charging. I had taken a picture of their prices to keep for my record for future visits. So when I got home I reviewed them , still intrigued about the $95. After reviewing them, noticed they did over charge me. Should have only been $75 , not $95. I dont feel like returning to get my money back but I will definitely not return. Unfortunately, I trusted her word forgetting we live in a money hungry world more than ever nowadays and I should have questioned it at the moment instead of waiting to get home. It was all good until they failed with bad character.

Shout to an awesome nail tech- Vy!!! She is so consistent and detail oriented. I show her a picture and she takes it from there. I love this shop because although they are always busy, it is large enough, and the nail techs are skilled enough get you in and out quickly. They do not accept card payment but they do have zelle and an atm machine. I'm a fan!!! For my latest look, I wanted something simple but slightly futuristic - Vy got it!! She did this gold and white look for me. I even have a special look that she does for me when my birthday rolls around. You'll see the rainbow nails below. I have that one posted too. This year I lost my dad in February- Lola nails has been a place to do self- care when I need it. The customer service is always good. Down to earth people. Highly recommend!

I wanted to like this place, but I just ended up being disappointed. All three nail techs that I have seen pulled some kind of stupid during my visits... uneven shaping. Uneven polish. Clipping my skin so it started bleeding. Not bad. But still - my red life line juice! Touching my skin with the damn nail drill removing gel polish. That hurts, damn. Not waiting long enough to paint a new coat on my toenails. The woman who greeted me from the counter both times is a bit indifferent. Her name was not Lola. I asked. Lol. She didn't pay attention to clients as much I think she should have. Another thing that annoys me... if I say I want a certain service once, then twice after the same person asks me again, then don't ask me a f***ing third time. Lol. For real, though. My first visit (5/1/21) I was charged $54 for their deluxe gel manicure and a regular pedicure. On my second visit (5/13/21), I needed gel removal and a new gel manicure for a wedding in which I was a bridesmaid. The whole time the dude complained about his second COVID-19 vaccination. My total charge on plastic was $31. There is a fee for paying with a card. I think it was like $1. My review is at 3 stars based on the fact that they accept walk-ins and they got me in and out relatively quick.

After speaking with the manager Tiffany about how dissatisfied I was with their services this past Monday , the manager asked me to come in today to get my nails redone. I was promptly seated with nail tech Vi and I asked if I could change the color to red instead of silver and Vi said yes. Vi brings out the silver holographic powder and I remind (2x now) her I want red instead and she asked if I wanted a red base coat, I said no on top, she says YES. She proceeds to do my nails silver and I'm patiently watch thinking the red will be added next... Vi once again continues with the silver, and since I'm now paranoid that my nails won't be done as requested I ask AGAIN (3x) you're going to do them red right? Vi responded with "Yes, don't worry." Literally a few minutes later she puts cuticle oil on my nails and said that "I'm now ready for 4th of July!!" I immediately told her that I asked for red 3x but she CONTINUED to give me SILVER, she said she misunderstood!!! . This is what happens when you literally DO NOT LISTEN to the customer. Save yourself the grief and go elsewhere. I work too hard to NOT get the service I paid for. Ridiculous!! Here are my RED NAILS...

Wish I read the reviews before going to Lola nails bar. Paid $40 plus tip for dip powder nails and had 2 fall off next day and another 3 days into my manicure. Now it's been a week and 2 revisits to salon to get them fixed and they keep falling off with simple tasks. Wished I just asked for refund. I rarely leave reviews but thought I should share my negative experience so you dont get ripped off. I went in wanting to try gel overlay, the guy tech recommended the nail dip would last 3 weeks. I don't do my nails often so I'm no pro but it's annoying when you have to ask them to do your manicure right (file ur nails, cut the extra skin/cuticles etc). seems techs are either in a rush or not experienced. If your going to try this place for yourself I say ask for Tiffany or Catherine based on reviews. read more

I've been here once before and my dip powder nails lasted like a week, decided months later to give it another shot and I am left underwhelmed again. It's only been TWO DAYS and 3 nails are already chipped! Super lame! The man only dipped my nails twice, typically they dip like 3-4 times, and he shaped my nails once the powder was in my nails, it was weird and when I asked him about it he kinda got confrontational, pedicure was great though read more

I have been coming here since December of 2023 it close to my house and the price is 50% of the nail salon I normally go to while at my salon i pay 170 for myself here i pay 120 for myself and child. When it comes to nail extensions the full set is accurate nice looking on both gel and acrylic but when it comes to getting a fill 10/10 DO NOT GET ONE WITH THEM! they just apply the product on top and don't blend it in nicely there gel polish only last a few days and starts to chip. 100% DO NOT GET PEDICURES WITH THEM. I thought that due to pregnancy my big toe nail was braking really bad on me and turned out they over file your nails my husband and daughter currently have the same problem and the only thing we have done on common was get pedicures here! read more

I took the time to write a review while receiving services here. I come here when I need a pedicure and a bikini wax. It's right around the corner of my house. I love their packages they have for pedicure if I recommend anything it's the deluxe pedicure. The foot rub , the callus treatment, and the exfoliating foot rub is such a must. Plus they do a foot mask with warm towels. They are so gentle with my nails. Everyone is super friendly. They have given me great service the 2 years I've been coming . Politely asked my nail technician to not cut corners of my nails as they create ingrown nails and she continued to do it 4 times and i tried to stop her 3 more times until she saw i was extremely upset. I went from getting the most expensive pedicure to most basic just because i wanted to leave faster. Every time i asked her to stop she just laughed and said okay but continued to cut. I also noticed another tech just rinse the tools with water not disinfect or follow any health guidelines what so ever ! Definitely will not be returning. Only giving 2 stars because tech was not rude & painted nails well. Vibe was not it, the other techs saw me repeat to her about the cutting and didn't try to intervene. read more

Ive been going here for about a year already . I usually get acrylic nails. But this time I decided to get a manicure. A day after my middle left finger started hurting, getting swollen and hot. I try taking care of it at home but it would just get worse. I went to the ER they prescribed antibiotics and pain killers. The DR said if it got worse to go back so it is getting worse so i might go back so they can open it and drain it. Something i was avoiding!! Sloppy. I got a basic pedi. $21. I have "easy" pedi toes. The woman was friendly but rushed and was rough. I can look past little effort as long as the polish is right. But It wasn't. The clear is just blobbed on and dried terribly. I even requested her to skip the scrub. I don't need it and it always causes dry heels....Perhaps if I selected a more expensive pedicure, they'd do a better job?? Will continue to go to my usual spot. read more

I've been coming here. At the beginning it was good, but I guess the workers got too comfortable, and they don't start caring that you are regular customer. First it was with wax, lady burn my whole face (still have marks). Today I can for a manicure girl was not feeling it (she stated hurting me, put acrylic all over my fingers, got cuts from trying to take it off). I told her she was hurting me, until she finally cut me bad. I had to tell the main girl sitting in the front to get me someone else. Do not recommend. read more

07/12/2021 Wednesday 1pm Was referred by a family member. Upon entering I advised want a gel manicure and regular pedicure. Was immediately asked "what color". I wasn't sure of color yet. The woman that did my manicure kept insisting on color before she started or finished my manicure and I felt rushed and slighted by her. She was rude and laughing at "a joke between her and lady at register. Suffice to say will never return. $5 tip to pedicure lady $0 to manicure lady. Tip to Lola nails. Learn how to treat new customers as welcomed and not excluded. I will not recommend or ever return. read more

I regularly come here to get a full set and pedicure! They can usually recreate any reference photo and I'm always satisfied with the way my nails turn out. It can sometimes be a long wait and they don't do appointments. Come with cash as they do not take card payment. Overall, I love this nail place and I'm surprised at the amount of negative reviews read more

I came here for their dip powder nails. They have SO many nail choices, there's something for everybody. They also have so many choices for glitters, foils, etc. I made an appointment that same day and got Catherine. She was super friendly, helpful, and most importantly made my nails look amazing. She did the length and shape exactly how I wanted. She was super patient and took her time (didn't feel rushed) as my nails did take some time to do. All her tools looked new and clean. The whole entire shop is still pretty new, clean, and spacious, you don't feel cramped and it's not awkward walking around like some other nail shops. The prices are slightly higher than the average nail shop BUT you get what you pay for. Everything was clean and great quality, service was great, and my nails still look great almost two weeks later. I will definitely be coming back. read more

I am from Philadelphia. I've been in LA since November. Since moving here I have not been able to find a nail salon I loved. After reading the reviews I decided to give this place a try. I went after work around 530pm. Upon entering U was greeted and asked about which services I was interested in. I was immediately serviced. I got the deluxe gel manicure and gel pedicure. I had two different nail technicians. Gel Pedicure: Hannah was my tech. Love her! So polite and very friendly. Her goal was to make sure I was happy and relaxed (seeing I just came from work bc I was in my scrubs). She took her time and was neat. The deluxe pedicure came with callous remover, scrub, and a massage. She achieved her goal. I was happy with the job she did and relaxed. Gel manicure: Vee was my tech. At first it felt like I was being rushed (which was a fear of mine after coming at the end of the day) however, in the end, I just believe she moved quickly. The only thing I wish would have been done is more skin removed around my nails besides the cuticles. Other than that I was completely happy with my manicure. Vee was very friendly, skilled, and neat. Her massages on my hands and arms were possibly my favorite part. I was in heaven. Overall I enjoyed my experience and I will definitely be back! Do not recommend this place, it took two different nail techs to finish a basic manicure that neither for them could do the design I asked for. They both said yes I can and once it was time to add polish they said no I cannot maybe next time. My pedicure polish is so not even , after almost 2 hours here I did not want to keep asking for them to try and make it better. Thank you for the apology to the owner or main tech at the front but it does not give me the Valentine's Day nails I came in here for and I won't be returning. I will be returning to my go to nails salon I only came here as I was in the area. read more

Just left this place and I must say the staff is super friendly and the place is neat and clean. The guy with glasses did my nails which were coffin style with some pink filling and gel and I got a gel pedicure and my daughter got a simple nail color. Total paid $93: although pricey but I haven't done my nails or feet in a while, so it was worth it. Definitely recommend read more

I've been coming here since they opened but my recent experiences was by far the worst! Nail tech ruined my pedicure and when I brought it up to the manager the other nail techs went on to speak bad about me, even after I let them know I was able to understand what they were saying. I asked for rounded nail shape, not sure where we got lost in communication. Once again I brought it to her attention that I wanted my nails rounded once i realized she was about to start painting and my nails were still squared, and even had the tech doing my manicure explain to her. She proceeded to cut and gave me a weird V shape!!! DISGUSTING!!! My nails are almost non existent and my toes are covered in polish. Unacceptable. Will not be returning. read more

They're very clean and affordable, however their customer service needs ALOT of improvement!!! They get you started and when someone comes in after you they start with a new client to secure the business. And then they keep you waiting. They tell you "10 mins" and I've waited for 30 mins. read more

So disappointed if I can give them 0 start I would! I asked for a simple manicure on my own nails. (I ended with dipping powder)The lady was rushing & talking the whole time, not even paying attention that was hurting me bc she was chatting with the other lady!. My nails were long so I asked if she can cut them and shape them round. I got charged $53 for really short nails & a sloppy job! read more

Hello! i came around two weeks ago, and was satisfied, the nails looked decent and the service was great. However, when i went to my usual nail tech to remove them, she let me know the acrylic they were using was dental acrylic and not the correct one. my nails are very weak after removing all of the fake acrylic. BIG SHOUTOUT TO LIZ! I honestly have never felt so welcomed and comfortable at any nail salon until I came across Lola's. Their entire staff is so friendly and accommodating. I had called an hour prior to arriving in Downey and Tiffany was so helpful in making sure it was okay to come in last minute. The second you step in they greet you in a welcoming and kind manner. I never get a hi from other places. Just the usual, "what do you want today?" It's the little things that matter to me the most and I enjoyed every second I spent here. I live in Rosemead so if I have to drive here to get my nails done in Downey I'll do it for these ladies. Such wonderful women here! Also they have sanitizer everywhere and are super clean about everything which I love. Can't wait to be back next month! Love love love! I got a basic gel mani because I never have nails and they made me feel so womanly hahaha read more

The staff were not experience they did not even do a competent job and when you asked to speak to the supervisor they all started speaking in their language. I left and I told them that they need to work on their skills and customer service and when to PUV nails. read more

I have been coming to this particular nail salon since it opened! but Tiffany has been taking care of my mom, my girls, and I since my oldest was 2 and is now 15! I have tried other nail shops when she has been in between opening new shops!! No other owner like her! Always knows customer service, always knows what I love, I tell her when I have special events, if something is bothering me, and she's always on top of it!! I'm a nurse and I work 60+ hour work weeks and she always makes me feel relaxed. She's an amazing business owner!!! You won't regret this one!! read more

This place sucks. Bad nails, and even worse costumer service. Jimmy did my nails, and was absolutely rude. He kept saying he was a "pro" and could do my nails blind. But, with the way they looked after that was definetly a lie. Everytime he messed up, he'd blame me for "moving too much" when I wouldn't move at all. I asked for a french tip chrome, and it didn't look like the picture I showed him at all. One of my nails was completely crooked. Not to mention, my nail was already chipping right after he finished. I will definetly never be back here. read more

I truly love coming to this nail place. you are treated like family the moment you walk in to the building. They are doing what they can to protect their clients. i have been a loyal customer of theirs since they opened! each pedicure and manicure station has a shield, all techs wear masks and gloves. they change their gloves in between each hand wash and each guest. Their work is consistently excellent, which is why I've often recommended them to friends and family. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the salon's management and front desk staff. Their scheduling and customer service are extremely disorganized, and they seem to have little regard for the customer experience. The salon routinely overbooks technicians and assigns walk-in clients to technicians who already have upcoming appointments. Despite making appointments every time I've visited, I've regularly been forced to wait 15-30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, even though I make a point of arriving early as a courtesy. My most recent experience was the final straw. I scheduled both a lash lift and an acrylic fill. When I called, the receptionist told me my lash appointment would be at 5:00 PM and my nail appointment at 6:00 PM. However, the text confirmation I received only listed a 6:00 PM appointment. On previous visits, I had been told by the front desk that appointments are not considered booked without a text confirmation, so I reasonably assumed the salon had adjusted my schedule and moved the lash appointment. When I arrived at 6:00 PM, the receptionist informed me that the text confirmation was incorrect, my lash appointment had actually been at 5:00 PM, and I had missed it. No apology was offered, nor did anyone attempt to rebook the service. I then asked if I could still proceed with my 6:00 PM nail appointment, only to be told that my nail technician would not be available for another hour. The receptionist blamed the delay on my technician's timing, which was both inappropriate and inaccurate. I've worked with the same technician for two years, and she has always been professional, efficient, and respectful of her appointment schedule. It was clear that the salon had double-booked over my appointment. Their only solution was for me to return at 7:00 PM, which was not possible given my schedule. This experience was incredibly frustrating because I genuinely love the work of the nail technicians. However, I can no longer tolerate the level of disorganization, poor communication, and lack of accountability from management. As a result, I will not be returning, and I can no longer recommend this salon to others. The business needs to get control of its scheduling and customer volume before more loyal customers have similar experiences.

On top of that as he was doing my nails he was not measuring the nails he was not filing them correctly and was not even he wasn't even layering my hands to make sure both hands we're symmetrical I had to keep doing it myself! I had to keep telling him to fix my nails because they were crooked or jagged and I was just kind of frustrated at this point and wanted to get it done and over with. He even was getting the French tip design wrong and had to redo it a few times. By the time we were done my nails looked somewhat decent and I was ready to go because I was just done with it. Oh and he only did one layer of clear coat and didn't even oil my cuticles or anything like that. And it's just him! I saw the nail tech next to him working on a different client and she was getting such a different experience than what I was getting When I got home I re looked at my nails under different lighting and realized he glued hair in my nails which is disgusting and I can't take it out unless I file the nail down, the nail polish is streaky and bubbly and even after all the corrections I had him do some nails are still jagged on the edges and not smooth! I wish I would have gotten the guys name because they have 3 guys there but I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE not unless you get one of the ladies or guys that actually give a shit compared to this man that did my nails cause clearly he did not want to be there and rushed/botched my nails Also it's only been a few days and the nail polish is already falling off.

Time and time again, I make calls to inquire about the availability of a specific nail technician at the salon. The woman who manages the shop repeatedly suggests that I come in and go to anyone. While there are two individuals there who excel at doing my nails just the way I like them, her insistence on getting me off the phone quickly has led me to heed her advice and go in, accepting whoever available. On several occasions, I've expressed my dissatisfaction with the service, all the while knowing that I understand Vietnamese, a fact unbeknownst to her. Unpleasantly, she has consistently engaged in derogatory discussions about me. I generally avoid confrontations, as I'm aware of my potential to create a scene. So, I exercise self-control. It's one thing for her to engage in unpleasant conversations, buts it's another when she outright called me "dumb". Still rather than addressing the issue in front of other customers, I decided to call and confront her. To my surprise, a man answered the call and curtly informed me that they were closed, then hung up the phone. It's disheartening that voicing dissatisfaction with your nail service results in derogatory comments. I invest a significant amount of money to have my nails done, and I expect them to be done to my satisfaction. read more
