Wow. This was my first time at this place. It was supposed to be a special mom and daughter self care/ bonding experience. This place is so badly managed and lacks customer service. The owner Vivi is horrible. I made an appointment at 1:30p and called her when I knew I would be late. I arrived10 minutes late. When I arrived they had me wait and told me that I would be considered a walk-in as I was late (seriously) despite me calling and informing them. I wish i would have known as I wouldn't rushed to arrive. They told me to wait 20 minutes. I patiently waited and after 35 minutes (manager Vivi was no where to be seen as she was in the back and didn't peek her head out). I walked out, at this point i was not going to give them my money and business. Also the place inside is dirty, poor air circulation, rug floor has stains. No one checks in with you to update you. I have been coming here for at least seven years for my acrylic nails and pedicures. I always book an appointment with Helen, she is very careful with taking out any ingrown nails on your toes and trust me that is hard to find because most places they tend to be rough, callous, in a rush and injure you. Worst customer service and they trick you to add items bc of the language barrier. I came yesterday and Kim did my gel nails and Tammy my pedicure. I asked for the regular Spa Pedicure not the full. My manicure gel nail broke within less than 24 hrs . Came into the store for them to redo it and gave me a hard time, trying to say that it was my fault bc "I cooked". Funny thing is that I didn't even cooked Last night for them to say that it was my fault. Also my nail tips were turning yellow and I asked why ?! and they told me the same that it was bc "I cooked" . They were gonna charge me 15 dollars to redo my set when I had paid almost 100 dollars with tip included. Their products are trash bc there's no way the tip of my real nail was going to turn yellow for no reason in less than 24 hrs. I left the place and they lost a customer. It is sad bc Tammy does a really good job but I just didn't like that she tricked me and added products that were from another package without consulting with me. I paid all and I don't mind paying for quality work and service but if I paid and I come the next day bc my gel nail broke, don't be expecting me to be understanding when you are blaming me for your nail work. I will definitely not come back here and if you do, make sure you don't Pick Kim bc she would talk behind your back in their language. Body language and tone of voice is global. I gotten gem before and her work in the gel department is not good maybe doing some other things but not gel or design work in a gel nail. Came for the first time as a walk in because I needed something quick and convenient nearby. The good things were that they were fast and convenient, but don't expect anything fancy. Staff is fairly nice. I only got a regular manicure ($15) regular pedicure ($20) with added callous removal ($6). I just felt a little rushed to get up from the chair after I got my manicure. So my regular nail spot was closed, due to the holidays. I was in a rush and looked online for something that was at least half decent. I came across Spa nails and the pix and reviews weren't half bad. I got a full set and pedicure. I wanted to try a new shape so I asked for squoval. I felt bad, but didn't care for the shape because my fingers are so thin it just didn't match. My nail technician asked me again if I liked them after already applying the powder. I got a gel manicure and a pedicure. Kim was very gentle with my toes. She removed my ingrown nails that had been bugging me and best of all, she didn't hurt or made me bleed Tien took her time with my nails. 4 stars for pedicurist Tiffany who is attentive and detail-oriented. As for the overall vibe, I give it 3 stars bc it doesn't look that clean and smells bad (with that harsh chemicals smell). I've been to nail salons that smell decent (probably with better ventilation). My biggest concern is the hygiene of the tools they use. I don't see them opening up a sterilized packet (like many places I've been to). She took out tools from a small box which makes me question their sanitation. The chairs also look old and beat up (with the filling materials exposed). They did not sanitize after a client left before having me sit down on the same chair. I was so happy with her technique to shape my nails. So I came back today and saw her again. She's friendly and patient. I will be coming back again. On a side note the parking is horrible.
