I was in Boise visiting my Bronco and headed out of town but needed something filling to hold me over on my long drive. Lolita's Taco truck looked promising! Location is great in that there's ample parking and outdoor covered and uncovered seating. I didn't ask, but I think it's possible Lolita served us. She was very friendly and helpful, delivering salsa options and napkins to our table. We both ordered burritos--authentic! I used to live in Southern California and I haven't had an authentic burrito since, until now! I got the chicken burrito and added cheese. There were 3 salsa options you could add after the fact--red, green, and habanero. They were all flavorful and delicious! I'll have to come try the tacos when I'm back in town. read more

Best street tacos I've had since moving to Boise from Las Vegas. Service was fast and friendly. Love the big Mexican Cokes. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because my carnitas was a little on the dry side. My husband got the asada and Al pastor, and loved it. If you haven't been you've been missing some of Boise's best beans. I always order the vegetarian burrito. You won't miss the meat. It comes with guacamole so I add sour cream. It's huge and under 9$ it's a great deal. I usually can't eat a whole burrito. My favorite Mexican in Boise! read more

Amazing tacos! The quesabirria tacos are to die for. Al pastor and carnitas are also great. Nothing here is bad! The crew running the truck are always friendly and attentive. They have a few tables in a covered area to get you out of cold or inclement weather. Me and some co workers have been coming here for lunch consistently for about 2 years and it's a weekly tradition. Cannot say enough good things about this place. read more

It's places like Lolita's that are authentic street tacos! I Loved these lengua tacos so much today! So much better than any of the other taco places around the Treasure Valley. Very satisfied! I'm a taco fanatic. I've been driving by for a few months and finally got around to stopping in. Unlike many taco wagons it's clean and doesn't look scary to eat from. Bonus #1, the first thing they said after taking my taco order was.... "Ok, let me wash my hands and I'll make u some tacos" Bonus #2, after taking a few minutes longer than expected, she came to the window and said "your tacos will be right out, I made you some fresh tortillas" When we got home and ate, the street tacos and sauces were fantastic and burritos were as well. I absolutely love this place!! By far the most authentic Mexican cuisine in Boise. Dolores, the woman who runs it, is so sweet and dedicated to her customers. There is only two small picnic tables for seating, so don't plan to stay and eat if it's chilly. Location is super conveniently located, right near Boise State, the bench, and southeast Boise. They have reasonable priced tacos and burritos that are very good and hit the spot. If you enjoy champurado like I do, this place has it! Last time I went for some, the owner told me it will take some times seeing that she was going to make the batch fresh! Waited for about 5/10 minutes and she walked out and handed it to me. I'm obsessed with street tacos and authentic Mexican so I had high hopes for this place. I was a little disappointed. I had no complaints about the elote, except that it ran .50-$1.00 more than any other taco truck I've found. They were completely out of lengua when I went (which is pretty much the only thing I ever order) so I had to compromise. So I got a cabeza burrito. It was just ok, if that. It had no flavor at all. The beans somehow managed to be bland and overpowering at the same time, and there really wasn't any flavor or spice to anything. It was also much smaller than a lot of taco truck burritos. Sat at their outside seating which was swarmed with flies and hornets ( I understand they can't do anything about that, but it didn't add to the experience). Their card reader also didn't work and the lady kept asking me if I had money in my account (which obviously I did, but I found very tacky). I wouldn't go back. read more
