    My sweet adopted grandpa
    Grace N.

This memorial park is beautiful! My adopted grandpa's final resting place is here and when he had the burial, it was really nice. Though I remember it took forever to get his headstone in place but Grandpa picked a really nice central spot where all the vets are so the location is perfect. This park is one of the older ones so there are definitely really old headstones and I do see some being flooded or are fighting with nature... It's always so peaceful and calming here. One thing I wish they have nearby water faucet or something for you to get water...

I am not one to complain, but i definitely need to warn other people and put this out there and exposed these individuals managing this cemetery. They are simply the worst, very insensitive to other people's feelings, and on top of that, they argue something they post in the open ( please see pics below). When my mother passed,I had alot of other cemeteries to chose from, and now i feel soo stupid i decided to go with this cemetery. They will throw, dispose of, get rid of, and not respect anything you place on the grave before date on post. I was there yesterday ( wednesday) and everything was disposed of. If you read sign it states " everything will be dispose of thursday morning" this is untrue. They will do this Without Notice! I called today and spoke to a lady (Grace) who could not explain the meaning of decorations on their post. The post states" fresh flowers and decorations only". What is the meaning of decorations to them? She doesn't know! Really? And to my understanding, she manages this place! Lol. I also need to clean my mother's grave every week, and believe it or not I also clean other people's graves next to my mother's because the cemetery staff doesn't. So my advice to you, please look elsewhere don't waste your time, money and energy at this place. Avoid the headaches in the long run. You will regret it as i do! I have also spoken with other people who strongly feel they also made a big mistake placing their love ones to rest here. I now comprehend why many empty spaces are available ( people are doing their due diligence) I on the other hand was grieving and not thinking clearly; I just needed to put my mom to rest. These people and their practices disgust me! Stay Away!!

This is how the staff left the belongings removed from the gravesite.

The staff at this place is so disrespectful and rude. All of the items on gravesites were maliciously removed and broken and placed in a pile like if they were trash. There was many other customers looking through all the broken stuff looking for their special belongings. People are grieving the lost of their loved ones and then have to deal with inconsiderate staff that maliciously destroy belongings of their loved ones. I called and spoke to Grace, she was quiet the whole time and said she did not understand my concern. She has no sympathy for people grieving the loss of their loved ones and is very rude and disrespectful. This is not the first time she has been rude and said inappropriate things to grieving families. I hope the owners reconsider the way they are treating their customers.

    Visiting his uncle

I've normalized cemeteries for my ASD special needs child. I thank Loma Vista Memorial Park for giving me the opportunity of educating my son that his uncles will always be with him in BUTTERFLY SPIRIT!

Today while visiting the cemetery, many grave markers were overgrown and unreadable due to poor lawn maintenance.

The mortuary handled everything well. The flowers on the casket were gorgeous. Well kept cemetery.

We do wish the…read morefacility would've been a little better cared for and the operations just a little more professional. Leslie was so sweet and soft spoken I actually wished for a little more brusque professionalism. However, I overheard someone else's similar intake conversation with a different associate and was glad for Leslie's competence. She answered most of our questions easily and was able to find the answers she didn't immediately know. When we walked the grounds on our own to see if and where we might want to bury our daughter, we were stopped by one of the groundskeepers to ask if we needed help finding or tending a grave. He was so kind and we were amazed by his care and attention. When we decided to use their cremation services instead, we were quoted certain pricing over the phone (by Linda) that they were, ultimately and unfortunately, not willing to honor. I didn't have the heart to quibble over $75 when I was mourning the loss of my daughter, so we let it slide. During the intake conversation it seemed Leslie was obligated to show us their showroom even though we told her we would be making the urn. She wasn't rude. Just made us aware that we would be seeing the showroom before we left (even though we didn't need it). Still, she didn't hound us to purchase anything or choose any particular options. Also during the intake conversation, there was a service in session in the connected chapel. There was chanting and incense and it carried strongly into the connected funeral home and offices. It gave us both headaches from the strength of the noise and scent. So we wish the offices were kept a little more separate to avoid the discomfort. The funeral home itself is so charming, but in definite disrepair. It's a colonial establishment and theme and we both loved it. However, the carpet is rippled, the walls and baseboards have gouges and dings, and the bathrooms are old and dirty. I absolutely loved the atrium space with the fountain and flowers. I spent most of my time looking out the windows at the atrium while we waited for the paperwork to be copied and verified. The small but beautiful atrium soothed my soul. We chose to attend the cremation. Leslie walked us back and the crematory manager, Eric, met us and explained the process. It was 96 degrees outside and the room didn't have air conditioning so everyone was uncomfortable. But Eric still wore his suit coat and didn't rush us. Told us to take as much time as we needed. He handed me tissues when I was overwhelmed and the told stories to try to raise my spirits. I understood the kindness and empathy and generosity of spirit behind his actions. We ultimately waited in the lobby for the duration of the cremation. This is where we found out that a lot of business is conducted out in the lobby for anyone to witness. That was the unprofessional part. I even hate to mention it because the staff was always so compassionate toward us. But the business should've been handled elsewhere. We got to hear everyone's personal business. The manager came and spent some time with us again while we waited and told more stories and really showed such kindness and compassion. When we picked up her ashes, the manager met us again and brought her ashes out himself and spent more time chatting and making sure we were happy with the way things turned out that were within our control. Overall, I would recommend Brea Memory Garden Memorial Park and Mortuary. I wouldn't hesitate to say that it's not the most professional establishment, but the employees are good and compassionate people. Eric is so kind. I'd also mention the funeral home is in a bit of disrepair. However, the grounds are peaceful and pleasant and have been in great repair each time we've visited.

A close friend referred me to Guillermo, and after going through the process with him, she even told me she wished she had used Accu-Care for her own family because of their pricing and the services they provide. From start to finish, Guillermo was compassionate, calm, and incredibly helpful. He walked me through every step - from coordinating with the church I preferred, to scheduling the viewing, the memorial service, and everything in between and after (cremation). He answered all my questions patiently and never once made me feel pressured into any upgrades.
