Memory Gardens is a cute little cemetery. We had just the service at the chapel and staff are great. We walked the grounds and it was full of colorful flowers from All Souls' Day.

    Grass has be cut

This place is not cheap and the maintenance is really poor. Everytime i go to visit the grass is really tall looks like it has not been trimmed for weeks. Yesterday I showed up and I saw 3 persons with weed whackers and edge trimmers to do the job that they are supposed to do . What can you do take your loved ones to else where no you can't. People ask a lot of questions if your thinking of using this place.

    Isn't this horrible?!?

It breaks my heart that my parents are buried here and the care of this facility has diminished. According to the mortuary, their well pump broke so they have let all the grass die. It is despicable and sad. I go to the cemetery to find peace and visit my mom and dad and other relatives. The bronze on my mom and dad's head stone is chipping and I just don't think that should happen. If I could move them I would! Horrible!! No water for flowers either.

Mom got VIP service today. I took flowers up to mom and this little old man name Alejandro stopped his tractor and came over and said who is this? I told him it's my moms 80 Bday. He said okay we are going to make mommas day very special. He asked me to remove the flowers he then went and got his hedge trimmer and trimmed up all around her gravesight and headstone, got his blower put gas in it and blew off all the trimmings. Then he said again wait wait we make momma very happy and he came over polished up the head stone and said okay go get the flowers he got fresh water and then said, now Happy momma! I shook his hand and thanked him very much. He was like an angel sent from heaven to make mom's day very special such a blessing to see a stranger go above and beyond to make a day so special. Alejandro you are truly a Blessing from above!

My parents are buried in the veterans field at Memory Gardens. We visit their grave regularly and several months ago discovered that my mom's Registered Nurse medallion on the headstone was missing. We can't tell if it was stolen, but it was definitely scraped off. We made our initial call to the Memory Gardens office ALMOST 3 MONTHS ago to have the nurse's cross medallion replaced. As of this writing, it has still not been replaced, even though we call weekly, provided pictures of the headstone before and after, have emailed the information, and have gone to the cemetery office in person. (I suppose I could leave out the part where they did actually install a replacement a few weeks ago... of an UPSIDE DOWN nurse's cap. But, that's probably an important detail. It gives you an idea of the kind of issues you may run into here.) Besides being completely unprofessional - in that we were promised this would be handled, but have never received the requested follow up, let alone a resolution - it's also a disgrace that, of ALL people, they would allow the defacing of a headstone and not correct it immediately.

    Decorating for this beautiful time.

Absolutely everyone we spoke with at Anubis was very considerate and very accommodating. It was the Friday before Memorial Day so it took a while to get to Orange County. They carefully transferred my Mom to their vehicle. They were very responsive to all of our questions and really made the whole process much easier than I thought it would be. We really appreciated that as we were still trying to process our Mom's passing. They're the best! They arranged a meeting point midway between Glendale and where we lived in Orange County to transfer our urns to us. I highly, highly recommend Anubis. They really made a difficult time easier because of their excellent care of our Mom.

After the pickup we were told that a representative would reach out to us the following day so we could start making arrangements. They didn't call till 3 days later even after leaving them multiple messages! Imagine not knowing what's happening to your loved one or where they are located after they died. Our assigned rep only called AFTER I switched to Anubis Cremations and had arrangements for the body to be brought to their facilities. Wesleigh was so easy to work with. She picked up my call right away and took care of everything. She communicated every step of the way. I told her that my uncle who is a priest will be arriving in 2 weeks and we would like for the cremation and memorial service to happen while he was here. She mentioned that it's a very tight schedule but she would try to make it happen. And she 100% delivered!!! Within an hour of my initial call she had my auntie's body arranged for pickup, she sent paperwork to us and the doctor so she could start the process of filing the death certificate. The church where we wanted the memorial service wouldn't let us reserve a time till they had a cremation date. We were able to get the cremation date within a few days. We opted for a private open viewing at the crematory in Van Nuys. The crematory only does night time viewing which worked well for us since our family is busy working during the day. Wesleigh's coworker Jonathan took great care of us at the viewing. The place had a room for up to 15 people where family members could sit with the casket prior to the cremation. They dressed our auntie in her formal barong and jewelry. We were allowed to provide flowers, letters, and mementoes in the cardboard casket. Jonathan gave us sharpies so we could write notes on the casket. There were aslo tissues and an easel for our use. Although the viewing was technically 15 minutes, we were not rushed and were given about 20-25 minutes to do a prayer service and say our goodbyes. And then Jonathan and another employee wheeled her into the crematory. We watched them place her casket in the "oven" and once the door closed we left. They even allowed us to live stream the entire time we were there to our auntie's relatives back in the Philippines. The following day Wesleigh delivered the ashes to the church and she provided the letters and instructions we needed to bring the ashes back to the Philippines. We were also very happy with the urn we ordered from Anubis. It was engraved and had a photo of our auntie. It was perfect. I can't thank Wesleigh and Jonathan enough for providing an outstanding service that was stress-free, efficient, compassionate, and super professional during this difficult time of grief. I whole-heartedly recommend Annubis.

My mom passed away at the end of March, and I was completely lost on where to even begin. A close friend referred me to Guillermo, and after going through the process with him, she even told me she wished she had used Accu-Care for her own family because of their pricing and the services they provide. From start to finish, Guillermo was compassionate, calm, and incredibly helpful. It is deeply disappointing to witness such a lack of empathy and consideration in a place that should offer dignity, respect, and peace. Loma Vista could be the perfect place for our loved ones to rest, but experiences like this undermine that sense of trust and care.
