Afterlife care is never a pleasant experience for anyone, but you expect it to be seamless. I have been given the honor to handle my loved ones' aftercare three previous times flawlessly. I received a referral from a social worker affiliated with Kaiser Hospital, where my aunt was getting care prior to her release from the hospital. She transitioned to home hospice care. I reached out to Accucare to handle this process. They have a convincing outline on their website that shows the process, and I was reassured by the staff that I would be informed during the entirety When it was time for Accucare to perform, they failed at all tasks. They showed up 6 hours late to pick up the body. I asked to witness the cremation but kept being asked to do a 30 min viewing. I was clear repeatedly that I wanted to be present during cremation only. I was told I would get a number to track the cremation. I called and spoke to the manager and was told she had no number yet. Over several weeks, I called tirelessly. I spoke to the manager, who informed me that she left early the last day we spoke, and when she returned to work, she found out my loved one had been cremated. I only found out because I called them. This is by far the worst place and experience I have had with a cremation. I would not recommend this facility. read more

I am so thankful that a friend of mine found this establishment after the sudden loss of my Mother in August. I originally had mypicked up by another nearby Catholic mortuary, but was not happy with how things were going there, and thankfully was able to transfer her to Accu-Care with great ease. Skye was so helpful from day one! She was very nice and professional throughout the whole process. There were few hiccups a long the way, none the fault of Accu-Care, but with receiving correct causes of death, and needing a deputy investigator assigned to the case. I cannot say anything good about the experience I had with Accu-care. I just lost my dad, so I've never had to handle anything like this. Guillermo was the representative that was supposed to be helping me. He told me that he would let me know the day and time my dad was going to be cremated. I never got that call. Their lack of communication is horrible. I get it, they are busy, but their business is customer service. They have grieving customers who want to know about their loved ones. I would follow up to see if the death certificate had come in and I would never get a phone call back. I had to keep calling and I kept getting no response. Then another associate, Charlie told me that he would get a manager to talk to me . That never happened. I called back again, then Charlie told me he'd get someone above that manager to call me.
