    The special was delicious!

Enjoyed a great meal here last night. My wife and I both ordered the special, sausage and broccoli rabe over house-made fettuccine. Better quality sausage than you might expect and the pasta was delicious. Dessert of warm chocolate cake and banana cream pie rounded things off nicely. The decor is understated elegance, the service excellent (bar was a bit slow). Overall a place we would return to.

Food sucked. The pasta was over cooked. You could have used a straw instead of a fork to eat the pasta Service was ok. No real ambiance.

They do not have enough staff to properly accommodate diners. This causes outrageous waiting times. Would not return.

ALERT: NO MORE $3 MARTINIS!!!!!!…read more So I definitely was one of the people who let the cat out of the bag on this one! I hate gate keeping and I know myself, my husband, and many of my friends supported this place. I mean seriously $3 martini night was something that made this place a gem but without it I honestly don't see us coming back! This place truly has sooooo much potential. I wish I could help them with some ideas to really make this restaurant the spot to be. I can tell you now though charging $19 for a martini is not it!! Also I tried their new banana bread martini and it wasn't great. Which makes it worst that it's so much more money. I mean I am truly a nobody but I have a list of ideas for them if they ever want to know because this place truly has great bones. Here's one for free. On one of your lowest sale nights I'm assuming Thursday because that's when you had your $3 special, why not offer girl dinner? A $25 special that includes two basic flavored martinis and French fries. For $30 include two Caesar or house salads. I gaurantee people with order that. And you can't tell me you are getting hit too hard for food cost for salad and fries? But also you gotta change your decor up a bit. Look at the surrounding restaurants that are charging that much for a martini and the vibe of the place. If I'm going to spend bougie money I want to feel like I'm in a bougie spot!

Grabbed a Grandma slice from Pasqualle's and a White slice with basil & balsamic drizzle from Rino's, plus some garlic knots because, well, Beast's gotta eat and I was hungry. Pasqualle's: Classic feel, decent crust, but sauce was a bit flat. Solid traditional slice, nothing wild. Rino's: Crust was the star -- nice crust crunch, well-made. Sauce was loose, slightly chunky, and garlicky. White slice had great balance with the balsamic drizzle. Garlic knots from Rino's: Super garlicky in the best way. Both places were clean and roomy, prices were fair. Service was very good. Verdict: Pasqualle's is traditional and safe. Rino's brings more flavor and flair -- and wins this round.

They also have a spacious dining area that, while barebones, is still comfortable if you don't want to take it out. For the kids, we got a couple plain slices and some chicken fingers (for the bipolar three year old who sometimes hates pizza). The chicken fingers weren't anything revolutionary, but they fried them well, just like they did the buffalo wings that my wife was craving. Those were super saucy, but nice and crisp. Reminiscent of Western New York, and that's a compliment. We were also feeling like we needed some greens in our life, so we added a chicken caesar salad. It was better than expected, and hit the spot. Overall, I think pizza is the best choice here (it's in the name after all), but they have some variety if you need more as well. All in all, a very solid place.

We received water. 15 minutes went by: we saw the waitress scrambling to bring out drinks, bread and food for tables while the waiter was also bartending inside and outside. They must be understaffed because these two employees were doing absolutely everything they could to keep this place afloat, I felt bad for them. So did other guests because one woman (in frustration of not getting her check) began to help bus and clean tables. We asked both waiters for bread. 15 minutes later, another waitress arrives at the restaurant to help, we ask her for bread. We waited around 30 minutes just for bread. Our appetizer (each got lobster bisque) was delicious. Other parties were so annoyed at the service, one table send someone to go over to Water Street and brought back hot dogs!!! Multiple new customers arrived, saw the poor service and left. Our entrees were great! We agreed that the chef was awesome, but no one wants to spend 3 hours of their afternoon at a restaurant!

We ducked into here at the start of a huge storm after throwing one back at the Parish across the street. What a lovely respite! It was a quiet night and we sat at the bar. There was a good selection of wines by the glass and trust me, I indulged enthusiastically. We had good conversation with the lovely bartender, the owner and one of the waiters. Everyone was so nice, gave us a lot of insight to the area as well, cuz we're not from 'round these parts (but will be moving not so far away in the near future). There is a covered patio area lit with fairy lights and tiki torches that positively beckoned to us, but that damn weather... that said we found inside, back by the bar is equally inviting. It also bears mentioning that New Paltz (understandably) has an array of college student-oriented establishments and The Station definitely appeals to an older demographic (read: parents of college students, professors, travelers) which is a plus for anyone also looking for a great date night spot.
