Yes, this is a beautiful place. Wonderful staff and servers. Interesting food choices and wines. The challenge I continue to have is the noise level. We've come for dinner when it opens and when it gets a little full (halfway) the noise is intolerable. I found myself screaming my words to the person across the table. We've sat upstairs, in the back and in the front and still the noise just doesn't work for us. And I really like this place and would go more often, so we try and come midweek where the noise because of a small crowd is easier to deal with. read more

It was amazing to find some many restaurant at the Main Street of small town of Fish Kill. I ordered Seafood TAGLIATELLE (with ribbons of egg pasta, shrimp, bay scallops, calamari, garlic, tomato). The portion was large to fill you up and it was delicious although the sauce was little bit salty. I had to use the bread to reduce the saltiness. Overall, it was a great meal! Had a delicious dinner at Il Figlio Enoteca with very attentive service and delicious food! The interior is beautiful and spacious with tables available on both the first and second floor. Despite it being Valentine's Day dinner, it wasn't quite loud and our server Danielle was so attentive and prompt. The Brussels Sprouts Caesar Salad was a great starter and got us excited for our main dishes - it's nothing like a Caesar salad you've had before, I guarantee it! The Seafood Tagliatelle was also very fresh and the sauce was so good we had to get a second order of bread to dip. The NY Strip Steak was also tender and still juicy, but those smashed fingerling potatoes were so delicious and perfectly seasoned. First time here after hearing such great things. Upon walking in the space looked bigger than I expected and very busy. Had a nice bar to the left. They seated us on the second floor. The two seat tables left little to no room between tables. Not a fan of that. Our waiter greeted us promptly. There was some time between apps and entrees which we appreciated. Enjoyed a delightful dinner today at Il Figlio Enoteca. The restaurant is very spacious with 2 floors of table seating and a small bar area. The ambiance is very elegant and minimalistic at the same time. Ambiance rate: 8.5/10. The dishes my boyfriend and I ordered were: 1. Tagliatelle: This dish comes with a tomato cream sauce however, I asked for it to be substituted with a garlic butter sauce and they were nice enough to accommodate. This version tasted really delicious, enhancing the flavor of the seafood. Plus, the egg pasta was nice and soft. It included a good amount of seafood however, the portion size overall is small. Rate 8/10. 2. Rigatoni Special: This dish was one of their specials. It was rigatoni pasta covered in a tomato cream sauce with prosciutto, peppers, and burrata cheese. This tasted wonderful! It had a very strong yummy tomato flavor. I really enjoyed the burrata since it had this lightly salted taste to it. The prosciutto however had a more firmer texture compared to what it usually tastes like that I wasn't fond of. Plus, it was also a small portion size. Rate 9/10. The prices for these entrées were a bit pricey compared to the small portion sizes. However, for its excellent taste, I can see why. The staff were very friendly. I asked prior to be seated in a private area, and they were able to accommodate putting us on the second floor at a corner table. Plus, the service was super quick! Staff/service rate: 10/10. Came here during a visit to Beacon to celebrate my sister's birthday. The atmosphere is very nice and our server, Laura, was amazing. We started off with drinks and got a pear sour, lemon drop, and margarita, all of which were delicious. Laura recommended two specials of the day which was roasted heirloom cauliflower with fontina cheese and the Black Sea bass which were my two favorite dishes of the night. We also got the stuffed eggplant and short rib parpadelle off the regular menu. Everything was delicious but the pasta was a bit too salty for me. It's time to bring on the fun here, with so much to take in and offer. When arrived, the host asked if we had a reservation, which is preferred, and we didn't, but thankfully, we were seated within a couple of seconds. The interior design stood out to us, with two floors and many tables. There's quite a variety of Italian dishes to choose from, considering it's high-end, many of them have names that don't ring a bell, and also, the choices of food offered don't provide common dishes, such as chicken parm, meatball, pasta, etc. ++The dish I got was the Pork Chop, 14oz grilled with a vegetable topping over it, which includes roasted fingerling potatoes, broccoli rabe, and spicy cherry pepper marmalade. All of it tasted pretty great. I found the potatoes to stick out because they added flavor while eating the pork chop because the main dish itself was a bit dry. It was quite filling and I was full. Everyone else enjoyed their food as well. Service was great all the way around, checking in and answering any questions when needed. Great experience had by all! Heidi was our server and extremely attentive. Staff was friendly! We had two birthday guests with us and they were both taken care of. We were a needy group of 10 and all needs were met. Food and drinks came out quickly. Two bread baskets brought out quickly with delicious ricotta butter. I am not one to fill up on bread, but definitely indulged. The space is trendy, modern and clean. We had a 7:30 reservation and were sat right away. Bar was full, Looked like a good spot to meet friends for drinks. The food was delicious. We ordered a bunch of apps and all different entrees. They also had an abundance of specials. My husband's opinion is dishes needed more salt, I thought everything was seasoned perfectly. Definitely a great addition to the Hudson valley. The tables are a tad small but they do fit the Italian style. You could tell there was effort put in for the interior which was nice. We ordered a bottle of wine with the antipasto plate to start. It was enjoyable. For entrees we ordered the duck breast, and the papardelle with duck ragu. Both were sooo good. We liked that the choices were unique and different from the usual entrees many restaurants tend to offer. It was a nice change. BUT We both had the Sea Food pasta dish and the calamari was like chewing rubber, 4 super small scallops and the chef over cooked the shrimp and it was so dry. This is I would consider a specialty menu, Italian style food and in my opinion shrimp is a basic quick cook, in and out I mean you can eat it raw so why kill it. Expensive for the small amount of food. Won't even give it a second try. My son in law had the steak and mashed potatoes which said it was very good and it looked delicious. Otherwise NO. read more

This restaurant is strictly for anyone who does not have a pallet for authentic Italian food. Sitting at the bar, I had to ask, the waiter "Tony", for menus not once but 3 times. Sadly, he gave us a cocktail menu. The bartender was EXTREMELY LOUD and paying attention to those he knew. Hey, tis the season? Really ?? I had high hopes yet again but they failed miserable. Mind you we entered the restaurant 15 minutes after they opened. The menu is pretentious. Complicated additions to everything. Ordered their carpaccio and specially requested it plain with all the other stuff they added on to the side .. also ordered the pate .. when dishes arrived, the pate was what seemed to have been pipped onto their bread .. instead of ACTUAL PATE! WAS STRANGE TO SEE and stranger to taste. The carpaccio was topped with a mayonnaise. Again, STRANGE I said to the server in front of TONY I did say plain .. the server looked at me as if he couldn't take it back and TONY quickly said GIVE IT TO ME ILL EAT IT!!! BUT here's the strange part, I asked TONY if I can get an order of angel hair with broccoli garlic and oil? His response to me to us ARE YOU KIDDING DO YOU WANT THEM IN THE BACK TO KILL ME? and preceeded to offer me spaghetti .. I strongly believe management needs to refine the answers to customers. Perhaps he TONY could have said .. we don't carry Angel Hair but I can offer you spaghetti. The worse part about the entire evening was the amount of DIRTY DISHES TO MY LEFT AND RIGHT and our dishes we well .. where this bartender just kept moving fast .. for what reason he was moving ?? It was my last attempt .. service is 2 .. food is 2 .. and the bartender needs to be retrained to serve everyone equally and to be more polished and for him to understand that I don't want to hear his loud voice and or his complaining to others about what he wants to do because he's TONY!!! In doing research for our recent trip I discovered an article on the best of the Hudson Valley that mentioned this restaurant. We secured advance reservations for Wednesday night and discovered on entering what appeared to be a difference in seating between those with and without reservations. We were seated on the second level while the party in front of us without reservations had to wait and then were assigned a table on the first floor next to the entry door. The restaurant itself is beautiful regardless of where one sits and we found service to be very good though there was a back-up in the kitchen. We received complimentary bread with a ricotta/olive oil spread to start. My wife and I then shared a red and golden beet salad that included arugula, port soaked figs, toasted walnuts and fig vinaigrette. For an entree my wife chose salmon accompanied by pearl cous cous, heirloom carrots, roasted fennel and carrot butter. My choice was red wine braised lamb shank over wilted spinach and creamy Parmesan risotto. Everything was delicious though there was not a great deal of protein in my dish while the portion of salmon was quite impressive. read more

There is so much hype around this restaurant -- and it's with absolutely good reason! Don't let its location in a strip mall fool you -- get inside, and it's a two-level, really nice restaurant. First of all, delicious, warm bread. It came with a ricotta spread that had olive oil in it (I'm going to come back to the olive oil, because, well, olive oil...). We started with a corn salad -- they use an excellent, very flavorful olive oil there, and it complimented the sweetness of the corn really well. My partner had the rigatoni with sausage, and I had a risotto with peas and prosciutto. We each ate half and then switched plates, so I can attest to both being really good and flavorful. The sausage was sweet and spicy; both dishes very filling. Our server was amazing -- I wish I had written her name down! I asked about the olive oil, and she went and found out what she could about it. I will also say this restaurant is nicer than we'd anticipated -- we weren't in shorts and sneakers, but we could've dressed nicer. So if you're looking for a swanky date night in the area that has excellent food and bar options, this is your place to go! (We plan to go again in the near future -- once we've sampled a bit more, I imagine I'll add another star -- just don't feel like I can do that based on two dishes). read more

I sat at the bar and had dinner. I had the seafood risotto which was the special for the day with shrimp and calamari. It was right up there with the quality of Gordon Ramsay's lobster risotto that I've had many times. Also had the New York steak with fingerling potatoes and broccili rob that was covered in a Demi glaze. The steak was cooked to the perfect medium rare. Literally I just had Peter Lugers the weekend before and this New York was better than Peter Lugers!!! Also had the dessert which was a dark chocolate cake with a flambéed banana and a scoop of vanilla gelato, really great flavor. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a date night, or even just dining by yourself at the bar. Charlie the bartender was amazing and really made me the best Moscow mule I've ever had. The vibe was certainly a chill environment and the bartender along with the other staff members seemed to know everyone's names. Why waste time explaining specials you don't have? Second, $14 for two bottled waters for a family of 4 with two small kids. Waiter not smart enough to say hey I think one bottle is good. Zero common sense. Third, the food. I ordered most expensive thing on the menu the NY sirloin which was like cutting a piece of rubber and I ordered a medium. Was nearly impossible to cut with a few bites having a ton of Fat on the sirloin. The GNOCCHI was not much better either. Overall, just a terrible experience, but I should've known better than to think a restaurant in a Strip Mall is actually going to be good! My favorite Italian restaurant in upstate NY was Il Barilotto. When they closed I was heart broken. Then I heard they opened this place. I finally was able to get over here. This is my second time being here. WOW. It's absolutely stunning. When I opened the doors I was shocked! It's such a cool and sexy atmosphere. & BIG! I went with my father who for once didn't mind that I wanted to take pictures of the food before he took a bite. We went for lunch on a Saturday. I've also been on a weeknight with my girlfriends.
