I desperately needed a pedicure so I wandered into Lonado while my kid was at practice nearby. I was pleasantly surprised. They were able to take a walk-in since it wasn't at a peak time. They were friendly, didn't try to aggressively upsell me, and did a great job. The salon is on the smaller side and nicely designed with a pleasant vibe to it. read more

Wow! Wow! Amazing work! I had gotten my nails done at another salon about three weeks ago and had an old fashioned set of acrylics put on not realizing that in the preparation they had dug into my nail bed a bit and really jacked up my hands. When the lady was but initially filing the acrylics for removal, my nails got hot and little ZINGS of heat. She held and pressed each nail and would smile and murmur something nice, and she went SUPER carefully to rough buff off much of the acrylic before we soaked the rest off. I was traumatized that the OTHER salon had dug thru my layers of natural nail, and I hadn't noticed it. She very carefully soaked off the old acrylic and did the lightest feathery touch to buff prep my nails. Very sweet! Will then took over for applying a set of Gel-X nails. He explained very nicely how I could prevent any damage by having a very light buff to prep the nail, and tell the salon tech that I have thin and sensitive nailbeds. He was very understanding of my now thin and weak nails. We chatted about Gel, Builder, Dip ,Acrylic and Gel-X. He is soft spoken with a kind tone to his voice, and was easy to chat with. He answered my questions about nail prep, damage, length etc. I had been banging the hard acrylic old tips on my keyboard, which also weakens the nailbed near the cuticle and over sensitizes the nails to any filing. With shorter nails now and a more flexible product, I shouldn't have the hot buzz jolts when my nails are filed in the future. The Gel-X is REALLY COOL if you're new to this! They put a layer that I can only describe as rubber cement on your natural nail, and then put the crystal clear preformed nail over the entire nail,.then cure quickly under LED lights. The rubbery sticky substance fills the gap between your nail and the artificial one, so that there is no pulling on the sides of your nail bed from the artificial nail. You know that achy pain sometimes you get after a set of acrylics? NOT with Gel-X! He then painted a base color of a beautiful clear peach and added handpainted french tips with little tiny tiny white whisps down the side JUST like my inspo picture. The brush he used must have been only 1mm wide, because he free painted these whisks to absolute perfection. I hate to put this review here, because I don't want to have the salon so booked that I can't get back in when it's time for me to redo my nails! It's only been two hours since I left, and i've received three compliments already. I'm not afraid of getting my nails done, but now I know what to watch for when a new person does my nails. Both times I've been there, it's only been two gals working. They're very sweet here and the first time, my nails looked great but my mani and pedi were done separately and I was there for much longer than I wanted to be (2h+). That was for GelX and regular pedi. Colors are limited especially for gel. The second time I went, I had an appointment and was sat down and they had me soaking in acetone for 20+mins because they were both busy with other clients. I was there for nearly 30 mins neglected. I totally understand if you're busy but this is why I call for an apartment ahead of time. Please plan accordingly if it's 2 ppl working so I'm not wasting time. read more

After giving miss Anna 3 separate chances I had to call it quits and move over to Kayla's nails right down the street. My final straw was booking my apt at 10am, having it moved to 11am, showing up 10 minutes early to hear her client ask for something that would take well over 10 minutes, having had to wait THIRTY minutes for my appointment 2 weeks ago, I simply walked out and was taken immediately by the staff at the previous business mentioned, who threw in a pedicure and was done in the same amount of time. If you wanna wait for your appointment, have it moved without notice keep going here. Really weird they have 5 ladies do pedicures but poor Anna seems to be the only one who does acrylics. Absolutely love the recently opened Lonado Nail Spa. I was seeking a new salon that knows how to do Gel-X™ well and constantly. FOUND IT! Will Tran, the owner is a master at Gel-X™. I imagine other techniques also. Today was my second time seeing Will, to change out my 1st set which was over a month ago, without chipping or breaks. And I am not gentle with my nails, but, because I had a more natural look, I was able to leave them on that long without them looking bad. The picture is from today and I'm just super happy. We already planned to liven up the color and design next month as I am usually wear fun colors. His salon has an amazing location, is beautifully designed, has a wonderful atmosphere, the staff all are friendly and cheerful. I plan to be coming here for a long time. I'd been going to Lonado Nail Spa for about a year off and on every few months. They've always done great work and the polish would last a long time (having been applied with care). Today was my first time back since January 2023 and turns out that in the last few weeks they'd just reopened under new management! I was a bit apprehensive at first not knowing if the quality of work would be the same I'd been getting the last year and a bit, but my experience was great. The space was updated nicely with wood and gold tones and the simple touches of elegant spa like features and menus really enhanced the overall the experience. Even though it's all new folks there, they provided just as fabulous service like I had been receiving from previous team for so long. I think the prices went up a bit, but overall was a very enjoyable experience and the polish work and massages done by Hannah, Thao, and Will, were all terrific. Time will tell how the polish wears in day to day, they use a brand I've not been familiar with, but application execution seem like it'll last! I made a same-day appointment. I was clear I needed to be seated by 1:45pm or I would need to leave, respectfully. When I walked into the salon 10 mins early to my appointment, there were only 2 nail techs working. Both had customers. The man who took my appointment was not in the salon. I was seated 15 mins after my appointment time, where I was left to soak my previous gel off while a lady started a new set on another customer. A new tech came in 20 mins after I was seated and soaking to then lead my appointment. I am frustrated they were late, although I'm not sure my message was relayed to the nail techs in the salon. Hard to get past the stress of running late in order to enjoy the appointment. When the appointment was nearing an hour and 15 mins, I unfortunately needed to leave my appointment before the massage. Staff took what sounded like personal calls loudly on speaker phone, which was not relaxing. Additional star since the techs were likely not informed of my time constraints from the appointment taker. The quality of the pedicure was great - as a working adult, I just don't have time to sit for nearly 2 hours for one service -- although I wish I did! I will not be returning to this salon after this experience. read more
