There is a credit card charge fee of 17 dollars I believe just as an FYI. They were very good at giving me the nail style I requested from my pictures which was a cat eye pink with gold tips! The only thing I would have changed is it felt like they were more obviously talking about me the whole time in Vietnamese which I know ofc happens at most salons but found it a bit more distracting here then other places. read more

This review is mainly for Helen at Pearl Nails, but all the ladies seem nice and friendly every time I've been here. I was referred to Helen by a friend and have loved how my nails come out every time I've gotten them done with her. This time, I splurged and got a dip powder manicure and gel pedicure. Helen is always quick and precise with her application, but takes her time to make sure it looks fantastic. The dip powder I used is color changing and I always have fun seeing the switch in between. The pedicure was also wonderful and I picked another mood color changing gel - but a blue color to match my car this time. It's so pretty! The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet. It's usually only three ladies working, but Helen is usually on time with her appts. While I was there, there were a few walk-ins and everyone was able to get what they wanted - although there was a little bit of a wait time. I'm so glad I made an appt! Dip powder usually lasts 5-6 weeks on my nails, so I'll be back. And the gel pedicure - 8 weeks at least! I'm not the type to get my nails done regularly, but love them when they're done. read more

Still my favorite nail salon since I moved to the South Bay. I moved to Morgan Hill and tried quite a few nail salons locally. They are all more expensive and my nails would lift. My nails never lift with Susie doing my nails unless I wait too long. And I mean like 4 weeks! They are very accommodating with appointments even on short notice. I soooo wanted to give Pearl Nails a Five Star Review. There are two reasons I didn't... But, I'll divulge the positive prior to the negative. These ladies were friendly!! They were so warm and got to work on my (ex) fiancé's and my pedicure as soon as we walked in the building! I very much appreciated the promptness and engaging qualities that these nail technicians possessed. We came in on a Friday, which meant my partner was working... He stayed on his phone talking (in my opinion) quite rudely throughout his pedicure. These women didn't miss a beat and were understanding of such "work woes". I myself was fixed with a dilemma. They lost the polish (or were out of) that I had picked... no biggie (but also, kinda). They picked something that I turned out to be less than happy with........ Still not why I gave them 3 stars. I received TWO chips in each of my thumbnails within a WEEK of paying this nail shop $40 for a gel manicure. We also were not told until the very end that it was "cash only"... I put this is parentheses because other, more veteran patrons, received the ability to pay with their credit cards in my presence. In closing. I again, would have loved to have given Pearl Nails my loyalty. However, I simply cannot based off of their "cash only" transparency, and the lack of ability to create a strong female thumbnail. Go to Susie if you need your toenails fixed! A couple years ago I was frequently running Quicksilver trail almost everyday. The trail has a lot of up & down hills, and I noticed my big toes would be THROBBING right after my runs. I thought it was just because my feet were tired (lol def not the case ). I came for a pedicure and turns out both of my big toes were lifting from the nail bed. There were dark areas under my toenail and I thought they were just bruises from my shoes, but no, that was dirt that had gotten under since the toenail had lifted. I was super hesitant at first to let Susie cut off the dead parts of my toenail. I was scared they wouldn't grow back. She told me just to let her cut it and then she would put acrylic over the bare part so it would still look like I have a toenail. She was right. You couldn't even tell that half of my toenail was cut off. I went back every couple weeks to get a pedi/get new acrylic on. Every week it was growing back. I wish I got more progress pics! I had been a customer at Pearl Nails for over 25 years. The original owner Suzy is FANTASTIC, always great nails that lasted and did not break. I experienced a very unfortunate matter at that nail salon today. A friend purchased a $100 gift certificate expecting to use it for services from Suzy. Suzy sold the salon to the new owner who originally agreed to let Suzy continue working at Pearl Nails. The new owners changed the locks a pushed Suzy out and my friend did not want services from Apple the new owner or her employees. She has been going to Suzy for many years. The new owner, Apple, refused to refund her money. This gift certificate was sold under false pretenses. The gift certificate also has an expiration date, which is illegal. Pearl Nail itself is under new management and they've just redone the tables & chairs inside. They have a ton of gel colors for your manicure and matching polish for your pedicure, which is awesome. Having a variety of options has always been important to me - so I'm particular fond. When I'm not feeling colorful nails, I can easily switch back to a french gel manicure. There are spa chairs for pedicures, but if you're like me -- they can do your pedicure at the same time as your nails at the nail table. The price point is great and there's ample parking, though it does get busy in this shopping center off Bascom Avenue. In desperation I had left Neo Nails on Leigh Ave (due to the 30 minute wait I had after making an appointment!) and went searching for a new nail salon that would be BETTER in customer service/satisfaction. While getting gas across the street at Chevron, I saw Pearl Nails and decided to call and see if they had availability and told Helen that I did not want to wait (because I had waited so long at the other nail salon) and she kindly told me to head on over! I went to Lily first who had put on the nails (she was very kind), then went over to Helen and showed her a picture of a design on nails (peacock feathers) that I wanted her to do on mine.
