I'm from Long Beach, so my first instinct was to duck and swivel around to check my windows. All the windows looked OK. But then I thought to check the sunroof - shattered on the front panel. I sent out some requests for quotes through Yelp! - unable to service, sorry we don't work on sunroofs, X10. Oh no. I have to go to the dealer for this? I called the dealer and sent over photos and video - "You'll need to bring it in for us to look at." Then Eddie responded. "Yeah, I think we can fix that. Let me see if I can find the glass." Sure enough, a little bit later, "I found it! The price will be XX." (The price was on the lower end of the Google AI range) In the meantime, the shattered glass was slowly collapsing into my headliner. "Can you do anything about that?" "Sure, no problem. We'll clean the glass out and tape in a cardboard insert." "THANK YOU! I'm driving around with a hole in my roof!" I went out there and met Eddie - and his Dad who started the business many years ago. They were busy - and efficient. Within 20 minutes I had a new temporary cardboard sunroof. I paid a deposit, they ordered the glass, and the following week installed it for me. After a few adjustments, it's like brand new. And I got to see how busy they are - I guess word gets around. When I called the real company they claimed to be from, that business had NO clue who these people even were. The guy came pretty close to 10 am and was done in about 20-30 minutes. Made sure the broken glass that was inside my car was all vacuumed as well. Tuesday night, I was heading out to dinner when somehow a tree came out of nowhere and shattered my…read moretruck's windshield while I was reversing to park. This was not how I planned to start my evening but nothing I can do when a tree attacks your car. I called around and sent messages on Yelp trying to get it fixed that same night, but no luck. However, I decided to hire JJ Windshield Repair and Replace because they provided a decent quote AND offered an OEM windshield. The other businesses didn't mention if it was OEM and I figured I would have to pay more money to get the window tinted after it's fixed. With JJ Windshields, I didn't have to worry about that. Eddie showed up at my house (9 minutes after the 2 hour appointment time which was the only downside) the very next morning. He took one look at all the broken glass and said, "What a mess!" I smiled and said, "Don't judge me," and we both started laughing. From there, he got straight to work. BAIT AND SWITCH WARNING: Predatory Pricing & Legal Violations…read more I love to support local small businesses, but not the 'Bait and Switch' I experienced here. I have a written email quote from Precision Tint explicitly stating: 'you're looking at about 699.00 total' for ceramic tint and removal. Despite this written agreement, the shop manually entered a $900.00 'Custom Amount' plus tax on my receipt, totaling $983.25. This is a blatant violation of California Business and Professions Code § 9884.9, which prohibits charging a penny over a written estimate without a new, signed authorization. It is also a violation of the Consumer Legal Remedies Act (Civil Code § 1770) regarding deceptive 'Bait and Switch' pricing. Charging nearly $1,000 for window tint on a small 4-door car is ridiculous. There is nothing 'prestige' or luxury about this service that justifies a 40% markup over their own written quote. The shop ignored three separate formal attempts to resolve this billing error. Formal complaints have been filed with appropriate entities. Hopefully, this saves others the headache of being overcharged. Shady business practices, please avoid. If you choose to do business here make sure to do so, at your own risk, as everyone's experiences may vary.

Tried arranging a repair eith Safelite in the Phoenix area, but no appointments were available. Easily made an appointment for Monday morning. Was impressed how much this location kept reminding me of my appointment. Arrived a few minutes early. Wendy greeted me and wslked me to my car to examine the crack. I dud send them a picture ahead of time, but they need to make sure it hadn't grown. I was there less than 30 minutes and tge crack was repaired. You have to know what you are looking for to even see where the crack had been. My car insurance covered 100% of the repair.
