I'm usually never to write a negative review but its better to let people know and warn them of the type of service this dealership provides to their customers. I recently purchased a new BMW X5 from this dealership and been happy with the car so far, but the issue is with the Long Beach BMW finance department. Make sure to do your research before purchasing their warranty. The finance manager Gina sold me an extended warranty that was overpriced for the deal. I didn't know it at the time, but after doing extensive research on the warranty after I purchased it, I realized I was conned in buying an expensive warranty. The reason I give this dealership a one star is that it's almost impossible to talk to someone about the warranty. I attempted to reach their finance department for almost two weeks now and it seems no one is at the finance office. Whenever I call the dealership, Marie (receptionist) directs my call to the finance department but I'm on the phone for 3 minutes with no answer until it hangs up. When I try to call back to reach the finance department again, Marie ignores my calls and automatically sends my call to an automated ring tone. This has been happening for the past two weeks and I can't reach anyone from the finance department to cancel my warranty. Long Beach BMW dealership makes it impossible for you to talk to anyone from their finance department. They say I will get a call back, but I never hear back from them. I'm still trying to reach them, and they're still ignoring my call. read more

Horrible condescending service and passing the buck! LB BMW has lost all of my future car buys and maintenance business. I purchased a 2022 X7 for my wife and recently a 2025 M3 for myself. Both times they hard sell us on permaplate exterior paint warranty and how fabulous it is. My wife recently used permaplate for damage on her X7 hood (different terrible experience DO NOT BUY PERMAPLATE!!!) and then got error code/warning about the restraint system malfunctioning so she brought into LB BMW. LB BMW says it's not their problem since permaplate had to remove bumper to fix hood and that it would cost us $700 just for LB bmw to take the bumper off to diagnose the issue despite also having purchased the 7 year extended bumper to bumper warranty. Tried explaining to service advisor May Villalobos that it should be covered then she says "well where did buy permaplate from"...WE BOUGHT IT FROM YOUR DEALERSHIP!!!!. Then when asking why it's $700 dollars to remove the bumper before we even get a diagnosis May Villalobos says "we don't work for free". Unbelievable. **UPDATE ON 1/30/23** It has now been 4 weeks since I gave Long Beach BMW my Mini Cooper to repair... My insurance has confirmed that my Mini Cooper has been totaled while in the hands of the dealership and I will not be paid out until Long Beach BMW releases my car. I sent Paul Brewer an email on 1/25/23 and have still not been contacted back. I have had to contact the Bureau of Automotive Repair Complaint Dept. in order to get this resolved. On Tuesday 7/9/24, I received second rate service from the parts department when I went to purchase a new center cap for one of my wheels. The person who "helped" me (don't remember his name, had a very low haircut), sold me an ill-fitting wheel cap and when I brought it right back, minutes later, he stated he couldn't help any further without my wheel being removed to get the serial number from one of the other center caps. He went back and forth with me then rudely suggested I ask the service department if they could remove my wheel. I went out to service and happened to encounter the sales manager Tony, who walked to my car and took pictures of the center cap (something parts should've done) and assisted in getting me a refund on the center cap the guy sold me. I was told I would get a follow up call but didn't. Fast forward to yesterday 7/10/24, I went to Beverly Hills BMW, received excellent service, and got a new wheel cap in under 15 minutes. They did not give me any run around about serial numbers or any other made up nonsense. I am very disappointed with Long Beach BMW's customer service. read more

I often receive compliments on how well-maintained it is, which is a result of my diligence. Even though I know dealerships tend to charge a premium--often 35% more than independent shops--I choose to bring my car here in hopes of receiving top-tier service. Unfortunately, that expectation was not met. Here are the key areas where the service failed: * Loaner Car Miscommunication: Before bringing my car in, I called ahead to confirm if a loaner vehicle would be available since I had multiple medical appointments that week. I was told yes. However, no one disclosed the number of hoops I'd have to jump through to actually secure one. In the end, I wasn't provided with a loaner, and while part of that was due to an insurance issue, the lack of transparency and support was frustrating. AFTER the sale of the car: -Ivan (sales person) stated that the car would be DETAILED but car was still dirty. -The WHEELS WERE FILTHY. Ivan stated all cars have brake dust. -At least 5 yellow POLLEN SPOTS still on the car. -There was glitter still on the seats, pearl bracelet on the floor, and even a SPIDER EGG in the door jam that was a funny observation I mentioned to Ivan before I test drove the car. -Front grill had stained water spots. -Windshield and rear had stained water spots (took a few washes to get that mostly removed). -Forgot to provide copy of carfax as promised. -Key fobs needed new batteries (not a big deal - I changed them myself). -Engine AIR FILTER WAS FILTHY so I had to change it - looks like it was never changed. Other: -Ivan (sales rep) promised to correct paint on the front and rear bumper. Never followed up with a date to come back after multiple calls and texts. Not a big deal, but seems odd to leave me hanging. -Ivan started working with another customer during the end of my deal, making me wait longer and no explanation. -He brought my girlfriend and I waters before the test drive, which was nice. This dealership charged me $8,000 for repairs on my X1 that they never completed. Then sold me a used vehicle to replace the damaged one, which I couldn't drive anymore. They put the damaged vehicle balance into the car loan, told me they paid it off, charged me for a new car sale on a used vehicle (my nephew, who was in car sales, reviewed the contract, told me to take the car back). I tried to return the car 24 hours later, but they refused to take it back. I took them to small claims court, where they lied and said "that is what she wanted". I sent in evidence with a receipt of delivery, but the magistrate claimed they didn't have the BBB report. Mind you, the owner showed up to small claim, never called me to resolve (red flag). They fired Mike in the sales department (who stated he would refund me or fix the contract, but not do both). I stopped paying on the used car they sold me because I refused to pay this company any more money. The corporate office gave a $ 1,500 credit toward another car to cover the issue up. Now they are trying to collate repossession fees. This company is a complete fraud. BBB ruled in my favor for the repairs, and they want to open a bad business complaint. I wouldn't recommend this business to my worst enemy. (-10Stars) In my opinion. All they had to do was apologize and refund me the repair cost. I would've put that money toward the used vehicle they gave me as compensation for the damaged one. It would've been paid for by now. Everybody would've been happy. read more

Not What It Used To Be. Unfortunately this Dealership is not what it once was. Had several negative experiences recently here, at our local BMW dealer. It's a shame because the business is so convenient. It used to be great. Back in the day they offered free car washers to BMW customers a couple times a week. This perk was 86-ed with Covid and never brought back. Back in the day, the people that worked there genuinely seemed happy, it was a welcoming atmosphere, dare I say, it was a very pleasant experience. But that was several years ago, and this is now. Talking about issues. First it was technical issues last year with our vehicle and communication problems with the Service department, where we had an issue with our Backup Camera that took a month, and several visits bringing the car in and our of Service, to ultimately get fixed. The struggle of trying to get a loaner / rental vehicle, and even just simple communication from the dealership was a daily / weekly struggle. Not the best. It was a very negative interaction last week that finally prompted an actual review and assessment. The short story is, long standing BMW customer, and the saleswoman treated us very disrespectfully. Even more so, like there was no such thing as customer loyalty (this is our 4th BMW). The "deal" she offered was basically new X5 money for an older model X3 vehicle. No bueno. It was icky and unpleasant, to the point where I told my wife maybe it's time we take a break from BMW, it was that bad. Just felt predatory and gross. BUT the Story has a happy ending (just not at Long Beach BMW). We were able to get an awesome deal at a different BMW Dealership not far away. I'm glad that we looked beyond Long Beach BMW (as you all should as well, smart shoppers). One additional star because they still have a nice coffee machine in the lounge (but really I think even BMW dealership in the area does, but still). Try the mocha! Make sure to shop around.
