This dealership charged me $8,000 for repairs on my X1 that they never completed. Then sold me a used vehicle to replace the damaged one, which I couldn't drive anymore. They put the damaged vehicle balance into the car loan, told me they paid it off, charged me for a new car sale on a used vehicle (my nephew, who was in car sales, reviewed the contract, told me to take the car back). I tried to return the car 24 hours later, but they refused to take it back. I took them to small claims court, where they lied and said "that is what she wanted". I sent in evidence with a receipt of delivery, but the magistrate claimed they didn't have the BBB report. Mind you, the owner showed up to small claim, never called me to resolve (red flag). They fired Mike in the sales department (who stated he would refund me or fix the contract, but not do both). I stopped paying on the used car they sold me because I refused to pay this company any more money. The corporate office gave a $ 1,500 credit toward another car to cover the issue up. Now they are trying to collate repossession fees. This company is a complete fraud. BBB ruled in my favor for the repairs, and they want to open a bad business complaint. I wouldn't recommend this business to my worst enemy. (-10Stars) In my opinion. All they had to do was apologize and refund me the repair cost. I would've put that money toward the used vehicle they gave me as compensation for the damaged one. It would've been paid for by now. Everybody would've been happy. read more

Was researching online for a car and stumbled upon this branch that had a specific car and color with all the bells and whistles that I wanted. I reached out via email/text and was appointed to Pik when I came in to talk in person. Pik was amazing and handled everything professionally and positively. I have had a history at other dealerships (not just bmw) of people judging a book by its cover. I do not dress all fancy and what not but I do work hard for my money and know what I am worth. Pik did not judge at all and just went right to the point and everything for the car I wanted. Ultimately did not get it but the overall experience was what made me not just walk out and go somewhere else. Went in to buy an XM but ultimately got rejected by the finance team at BMW themselves (not the finance team at this bmw location, there is a difference!). I guess I did not make enough money in their eyes (bmw themselves not this branch). Of course a XM is hard to get financed but it is what it is. Checking my inbox, I noticed an invite to Long Beach BMW's Summer Sales Event. Besides having the opportunity to test drive any BMW in their fleet, attendees would be treated to live music, cocktails, a delicious dinner buffet & giveways. Being close by and not having a dinner option ready, I thought why not? Parking is hard to come by at Long Beach BMW. They do offer valet & street parking is available if you can find it. I managed to find a good spot across the street, in front of a business that was closed for the day. The generous catered dinner buffet consisted of pork loin, chicken breast, seafood pasta, vegetables, salad & dinner rolls. When I arrived they said it would $270 just to do a full analysis, essentially what they did 2 months ago. I hate going there for service, constant rip off. I made an appointment on their website on the evening of Sunday, April 24th for Monday the 25th at 9AM. Most other BMW Dealerships you go to give you loads and loads of cow fodder about how they're busy and they can't squeeze you in for a few weeks, blah blah. Not Long Beach BMW. I zipped in a little bit before my scheduled appointment and was greeted immediately, whereas my wife went to a different dealership for her X1 in a city whose initials were B.P. and she physically had to walk in after waiting 15 minutes and watching those guys help 2 people who arrived after she did. This is what sets Long Beach BMW apart from the others. My service advisor was Miguel, and believe me when I say, nothing but WORLD CLASS SERVICE was given. Miguel was with me every step of the way and barely left me waiting at all. I expected to pay just for my brakes, but as is typical, they found other things that needed to be done. A ripped windshield wiper blade, an oil change, alignment....i was psyching myself up to decline these additional services until i could save up more money. I never had the chance to defer. Miguel went above and beyond in going over what additional prepaid services and warranties were available to me as the owner of a pre-owned BMW. My jaw nearly fell off after he came to me and told me that the only thing i didn't have coverage on was the wheel alignment. Even more so, he advised me that i still had an oil service available to use before 2024. I also expected to wait a day or two and was already thinking about how to get to work and back home, but he put me at ease. They had their courtesy shuttle drop me back off at work a few blocks away, and his manager sent me a voucher to use towards uber for when the car was ready. I was told hopefully the car would be done by that afternoon, if not early Tuesday morning. I kid you not, i called back at 345PM just to make sure i had a gameplan for transportation and was told the car would be ready in 20 minutes. Mind Blown. You want excellent service, a clean waiting area, service advisors who are courteous and make your decade? You wanta hassle free shuttle service and worst case scenario, uber transportation? Fair pricing, friendly smiles? Sonic Long Beach BMW is the place to go. If you want subpar service where the facilities are out of date, dingy, and the service advisors give you nothing but grief because you live 5.5 miles away but they only cover the first 5, or where they try to sell you on their chain's overpriced service plan that you can't use whenever you want instead of checking what comes with your car, go to a different dealership. You know, the ones who tell you things arent covered, but they should have full access to your warranty info and they should know the phone number for said warranty service instead if asking you for it. Based on what he perceived I could afford he literally refused to run numbers for the car I was asking for. I have never been so offended. I ended up going with Porsche (in particular Porsche of Woodland Hills - they are incredible). I literally got a way nicer car without ANY condescension. The sales manager Javier was extremely unapproachable and uninterested in selling an expensive car to a female. I went in with a mindset to purchase a $100k car and felt so unwelcomed. They deserve No stars whatsoever Im actually very surprised that they have an average of 3.5 stars. Me and my wife leased a 2021 bmw X3 back in December of 2021 from Long Beach BMW note the car that we leased was a demo which was previously registered as a loaner from another customer. Upon receiving the vehicle, we were given a chewed out spare key from the previous customer's dog who damaged the key fob and prior to turning in our lease, we were told from an auto group upon inspection that the vehicle had an accident report back in 2021 before we leased it. They never told us about this before we leased this vehicle, and now we are being charged with all the damages that the previous customer has done. I tried countless times reaching out to management and was told to speak to Yong Kee I believe who is the fleet manager, after leaving 5+ messages they never returned my calls to resolve this issue. We are stuck with a huge end of lease bill that we had no fault whatsoever towards and all we are asking for was documentation that the vehicle was given to us the way it was. Think twice before coming to this BMW they will rip you off and leave you high and dry. I will make sure to never go back here again or recommend anyone else I know to come to this dealership. read more

Sales Manager Tony offered to charge my car with their super fast charger in service so I could make back home to San Bernardino. Extremely Disappointing Service and Unprofessionalism at BMW Long Beach I have been a loyal BMW customer for over 14 years, owning five different BMWs during that time. Unfortunately, my recent experiences with BMW Long Beach have been nothing short of appalling. I first brought my 2022 BMW 330e to BMW Long Beach a year ago to address a persistent mildew smell in my AC. I was assured that a simple spray treatment would resolve the issue. However, less than a week later, the smell returned just as strong. When I brought it back, I was told that a "deep cleaning" would be required--at an additional cost of $350. I found this unacceptable, especially since I have never experienced such an issue with any of my previous BMWs. If BMW is aware that this is a recurring problem, why aren't customers informed earlier? Breathing in mildew particles is clearly a health hazard, and I would have acted immediately had I been aware of the risks, rather than be hit with an unexpected charge. On top of this, I was advised during my first visit that my front tire was damaged and that my rear tires needed replacing. As this is a lease vehicle, I am required to use OEM tires, which made it all the more shocking when I learned that the OEM tires provided by BMW were so substandard that BMW had stopped selling them. Despite this being BMW's mistake, I was forced to pay approximately $1,400 for new tires--a financial burden that I should not have had to bear. Fast forward to August 27, 2024, when I brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change. My car had recently been throwing multiple codes and had failed to start on several occasions. I was provided a loaner vehicle by John Clark, during which time we inspected the vehicle and noted damage to the rims on the front driver's and passenger's sides. John Clark assured me this was already noted, so I went about my business and returned the vehicle to the dealership the next day as instructed. However, shortly after returning the loaner, I received a call from Chelsea Baraga, informing me that I had not returned the vehicle properly and that there was now a bubble on one of the tires, for which I would be charged $350. I was understandably upset, as I had followed the exact instructions provided by my service advisor, Gilbert Lucero. When I asked to speak to her supervisor, Fred Thornton, I was met with resistance and unprofessionalism. Multiple calls were ignored, and on several occasions, the phone was picked up only to be immediately hung up. After several attempts, I finally reached Fred Thornton, who offered no resolution other than to insist that the charge was my responsibility. To make matters worse, I have yet to receive the photos of the alleged tire damage, which I requested from both Chelsea Baraga and Fred Thornton, nor have I been provided with the images taken by John Clark during our initial inspection of the vehicle. I am utterly disgusted by the lack of professionalism, communication, and fairness exhibited by BMW Long Beach. This experience has tainted my otherwise positive relationship with the BMW brand, and I will not be returning to this dealership. I strongly urge BMW Corporate to investigate the practices at BMW Long Beach, as this level of service is completely unacceptable and not what I have come to expect from a luxury brand. BMW Long Beach has lost a loyal customer, and I will be advising others to steer clear of this dealership. read more

been a customer of Long Beach BMW since 2020 but will NEVER go back. What a joke that they even call this a BMW Dealership. I had an appt to use the Cosmetic Repair portion of the BMW Tire and Wheel Protection Warranty to buff out the scratches on all 4 wheels. When I made the appointment, I was told they do not provide loaner cars for wheel work, even if it was under warranty, but would be more than willing to call Uber/lyft for me. I assume they weren't going to pay the $45 each way, so I figured I'd bring my laptop to pass the time. The morning of the appt I called the LB BMW to confirm my 9am appt and was told they no longer do wheel work, they stopped back around pandemic. Not sure why they even wasted my time scheduling an appt. And since all the Service Reps were fairly new there was NOTHING they could do for me. Told me to call Safe Guard Insurance for help. Safe Guard told me I had to options 1) pay for the work myself and file for a reimbursement - or - 2) go to another BMW dealer (which is what i did). I went to South Bay BMW, which is considerably further away. They do wheel work in house on Thursday's and added me to their schedule. Not only that, but they offered me a loaner or would they pay the round-trip Uber/Lyft (approx $55 each way). LB BMW should be ashamed of themselves. I'll never ever give them my business again. read more

I purchased a vehicle in early April and before agreeing to make a deal, I was told that the dealership would do their best to get rid of some scratches and repair a small tear on the center armrest. When I came back the next day to finalize my paperwork and have the vehicle worked on, I was advised to schedule a service for another day since they would need to keep the vehicle for a couple of days and that's when they would have a loaner available. On the date of my scheduled service, I sat in the service bay for almost an hour because service and sales went back and forth about who would be handling it. Eventually, sales told me they would take care of it, but since it wasn't a mechanical or warranty related issue, they would not be providing a loaner. I opted for coming in on a different day since I travel and needed to plan ahead. After finally getting around to dropping my car off on a Friday, I made sure to ask how long it would take and if all the parts were in and I was told they had everything and it would be ready by Tuesday. I check back in on Tuesday and was told the part they needed was on back order and it would take another couple of days. Each time I asked for an estimated date of completion, I either didn't get an answer or some vague timeframe. Again, I travel and not being able to plan/having to push out appointments and prior obligations made things really tough. I was without a car for 10 days and was not offered a loaner at any point. When the car was ready, they weren't even sure they could Uber me so I had to drive from Lake Elsinore to pick up my vehicle. The repair on the armrest was great but the scratches looked the same if not more visible. I ended up emailing the used car manager about my experience and followed up with my sales rep and was told the used car manager has seen the email and would be contact me at the end of the day. It has now been 8 days and I not received a response from anyone. I love my car and I'm grateful they were even willing to try and make cosmetic repairs to the car, but it really seems like they stopped caring after the sale was made. I've shopped at a lot of dealerships and this was probably one of the worst/inconvenient experiences I've ever had. Not something you'd expect from BMW. read more

He understood that I lived about an hour away and gave me a ball park of how much he would be willing to give me for my vehicle. No other dealership was willing to do this without me bringing the vehicle in. Once I arrived at the dealer, Daniel verified that the vehicle was in good condition, and purchased the vehicle for the amount he told me over the phone. He researched my cars history (BMW has a great, linked database) Working with Brian was awesome, he set me up with a loaner, allowing time for me to get back to work, while my car was thoroughly inspected. He maintained contact while my car was there and his estimated time of completion was accurate. Tiffany in the loaner department was awesome, she reached out to me after Brian reserved a loaner. She gave me options from sedan to truck, which was a nice addition to my experience and paperwork was easy. Overall my experience at LB, BMW was exceptional, from phone call, to drop off and pick up. I bought a used car here and it was the worst experience I've ever had trying to purchase a vehicle. First they couldn't find the vehicle they had posted on their website, then after waiting for 30 min for them to find it, the car was absolutely trashed and filthy on the inside. I came back the next day to buy it and they said it would be cleaned that day after I bought it and it took 3 days for them to get it through a reinspection and cleaning. When I called the front desk to ask for an update, they sent me to the sales rep, Alan, who yelled at me on the phone for calling the desk and not him and told me I needed to be patient. When I was paying for the car I had to wait 45 min for the lady to "be available" and when the bank called me to make sure I was the one making the transaction, she yelled at me, kicked me out of her office, and make another rep watch me "until I could get my stuff sorted out and quit wasting her time." Then one of the keys wasn't connecting to the car when I came to pick it up and one of the reps told me it was probably because they put a BMW battery in the key and the car was not a BMW (btw a battery is a battery). Overall not an ideal experience of buying a car. Maybe the experience is different if you are buying a new BMW here, but I would not recommend buying a used car here. read more

I wasn't going to pay that, so ridiculous... took it to a non dealership shop .. they fixed it and called me ... I had them replace a couple of things since it was there, I had them detail it too.. got my car and it looked brand new.. my bill was 6 hundred dollars... long Beach bmw are ripping off customers in the shop because they have lot's of overhead cost and people are not buying their cars like they use too.. they changed the look and lost that gamble.. I brought my 2018 X5 in to get new front brake pads. As is the case with all my visits, my Service Advisor Alex was outstanding. I had to drop the car off and head to work. Alex communicated with me throughout the day regarding the time my vehicle would be ready and let me know there were no changes to the estimate I was given when I dropped my vehicle off. Since I moved to Long Beach from the Bay Area, I've never taken my Vehicle anywhere else. I went in for new brake pads and to rotate my tires. Was suggested to me to do an alignment. Agreed to it. Friday, 430 pm, I received a call with a $9,400 estimate. The service advisor said my front, right-side camber is damaged and they have to replace the suspension and rack and pinion. He wanted to immediately get my insurance company on the line to discuss with them the repair work and costs. Maybe, as a woman they thought the conversation would be above my head? I declined. Asked them to finish what I requested and close out my ticket. Monday, I emailed service advisor, Josh and their General Manager, Robert Lee with questions regarding the work which was done. Specifically, that they did not do the tire rotation which was one of two reasons I went in, but instead, gave me an over $9,000 of work they said needed to be done for the car's suspension. This morning, I went to trusted independent mechanic. Rack and pinion are not damaged. In fact, LB BMW was able to align front tow bar, which they would not have been able to do if the rack was damaged. Also suspension was fine. Camber was only off by 10% which is why I have not experienced any problems. No way anyone should go to them. Personally, I think being a woman made them feel a little more free to take advantage.
