So please read Jessica's review from one day ago after you read this because she had the same experience as me basically judged and disrespected. The way these people talk to you is like your stupid. I am a white girl but I feel they thought I was broke because I dress down in a band shirt whatever and I drive a crappy car lol but I have alot of money I could buy that salon I work 6 days a week! I jsut came to relax like any other girl. Let me say this place was beautiful and relaxing but the peille that work there aren't omg. These people here are weird! They will lie about you and act like your the problem when they are . It's like a cult lol So I had a misunderstanding with lily because I wanted her to scrub the bottom of my feet more to remove callous. Thats what any salon does...NOW of you want to have callus remover and have it completely gone yoj lay extra. That's fine but I didn't want that. I jsut wanted it scrubbed a normal amount. My feet were I the water and ahe scrubbed like 10 seconds so light and I've never seen a tech do it that way because you can't see the calculus or what your scrubbing! Usually they extend your leg and scrub the bottom right?? So when I confronted her about the little time she spent scrubbing she said you have to pay extra!!! We are not other salons pAy extra!!! I was like omg whatever because she wasn't understanding what time was saying. So I just let it go. The receptionist came over and she explained ..she didnt day that they could scrub a little longer but I just wanted to leave at the point because I had been arguing with Lilly basically the whole time and I was stressed. I did try to relax after speaking to the receptionist because I felt she was trying to be nice to me but lily was jsut crazy. I felt, like Jessica in the other review that they treated me like inwas broke kept acting like I was trying to get something for free. So I tried to relax while she finished even tho the owner and receptionist were staring at me lol but I judt closed me eyes. I came in on sat so that was my 6th day working in a row and I was very tired. It doesn't end there... i went to the counter to pay and word for word lily asked me do I want to tip on the card or in cash. I said CARD directly to her and she nodded . She heard me !! Then she gives me a receipt and I'm like I can't tip on here I wants fto tip on card?? She starts laughing out loud and says you didn't respond when I asked you how you wanted to tip!!! I was just like o. M g get me out of this weird place. Then she was like it's fine and I left dhaking my head I'm disbelief. She heard me say card she looked at me and akwnoledged what I said. Anyway then I called and vented to the receptionist and told her I was very tense the whole appt. I couldn't relax and I wanted to cry when inwas there because inwas embarrassed and couldn't move because I had wet feet lol. Do go here. They are mean. Go someone where they don't have a chip on there shoulder and act like they are better than their customers. They sure aren't better than me that's for sure. I will say that my nails look good she did ffench tip great and I'm sad that I have to find another salon because I like the way my toenails look but I don't want another experience like that. First time and last time. Came in for the Luxury Pedicure which was $40. Pricey but I had not had a pedicure in a long time and I wanted to treat myself. I did my HW and read the reviews, which were mostly positive. Saw some negatives but thought I'd give them a chance since the average rating was high and even someone said they had a good massage. The 10-minute massage part was the big selling point for me. However, instead of a 10-minute massage, I got a rugburn treatment. She just keep rubbing my skin with her gloves like she was giving a bad *you know what*! I was like, is this it? Is this my massage or is she just getting ready with the lotion? Nope, just rubbing the lotion all over my legs until it was dry and then she just keep rubbing and rubbing. Then she took two hot stones and rubbed them against my feet just twice over and that was it. I couldn't wait for her to be done because it was so painful. My skin felt raw afterward. My friend was sitting next to me and I had to text her - "this is the worst massage ever". She also was not happy with her pedicure. Her manicurist cut her toes and she bleed 3x and said OUCH so many times but the lady still didn't care. I kept asking my friend if she was okay. I was embarrassed for the manicurist and felt so bad for my friend, who even asked her nicely to be more gentle. I also got the Luxury Manicure, which was $30. The manicure was done by a different person who I could tell was much nicer and more skilled. I'm happy with the way my nails turned out but still ... it was supposed to come with a 10-minute massage which I still didn't get. So ... the upgrades are not worth it here. I've been coming to Long Beach Nails and Spa for about 2 or 3 years now. Everyone is extremely friendly, and always actually talks to you when you enter / while they're doing your nails. My old nail tech stopped working there, so I got recommended to go to Tracy about a year ago. Oh my God, I love her so much. I started getting into having designs on my nails a few months back, and always ask if Tracy can do the design I like (she's never said no to something I showed her). I got these done today and it looks EXACTLY like my reference picture. She is so amazing at doing nails it blows my mind. She's extremely careful, checks that I like what she's doing at every step of the way, and is one of the funniest people I've ever met. Never again. If you can cut your own toe nails you might as well. My appointment was set for 4:00. They found someone to work on my toes at 4:30. She was done with my pedicure at 4:45. I sat for 15 min to let the polish dry. $30.00 My poor little toes got scraped over and over again with the tiny square file. She didn't pay attention at all. She then sprayed my toes with alcohol which made my toes burn due to the scratches she put on the with the file. If they can't scrape your cuticle away then they'll use the cuticle clipper. It saddens me to leave this review but I can't recommend this shop for dip manicures. Despite having good gel manicures here before (which is why the 2 stars vs 1)This is the second awful dip manicure I've had here. It was very thick, uneven, messy and this is after me mentioning it in the shop and giving them an opportunity to correct it. These photos are after they attempted cleanup on the dip that was all over my skin around the nail, and me attempting to scrape the polish from under my finger nails. My pedicure also scraped off and smudged despite wearing sandals for 3 hours before putting on socks. read more

I came in about 2 hours before closing. there was some commotion in the back of the salon that I felt empathy for and I suggested I come back in another day. As always, the folks in the salon were more than happy to accommodate me without an appointment. I was there for a gel builder fill which I mistakenly referred to as gel x. I didn't realize there was such a big difference. The nail technician and I talked for a moment and I expressed some concerns with my current set. she suggested a fresh set of nails. when I agreed she immediately started cutting off my NATURAL NAILS that I had been growing out under the gel builder for 4 months. She didn't ask if I wanted to soak them off, she just started ripping my nails off. I asked twice why she needed to cut my nails as I knew with what I had you could just soak it off. she assured me she couldnt soak them off and KEPT CLIPPING. As she was clipping I yelled out, those are my nails. to which she replied "they are!?" and made an "oops" face. She asked if I had tips on my nails( a question that could and should have been asked to begin with) and I told her, no. just the hard gel. she then spent the next hour explaining and having others explain to me how this was my fault and that there's no way to tell the difference between gel x and gel builder and justifying her choice to chop my nails to nubs even after telling me she could have soaked even the gel tips off. no one offered an apology, no one offered a discount. I was even asked whether id be tipping on my card or in cash at the door. I have brought many people to this nail salon and continue to give them my business and I wasn't even offered an apology for this mistake. I feel very disappointed with this experience. read more

I gave this place a chance over and over again. I'm very disappointed in the customer service. I'm not sure if it's because I'm Mexican but I feel like the service I've received compared to other clients has been by far inferior. My sister made 6 reservations for the very last appointment. They claimed we were late even though they were busy when we got there. By the way they always made us wait even when we got there early. They refuse to give me the services I requested and they kept talking in a language I don't understand. I felt like they were talking bad about me and it made me feel uncomfortable.
