We had a pinhole leak close to our water meter and needed a quote and repair. We had one company come out and quote us $650 just to troubleshoot the issue. Then stated, "well this can be in the couple of thousands to fix" without even troubleshooting it. Sadly, we went through several quotes like this before getting to Long Beach Plumbing. Long Beach Plumbing came out and quoted hundreds if not thousands less than some of the other companies. They explained the process of repair and were able to fix it very quickly. We called this company to come out and unplug a drain. The drain was plugged with tampons and washable wipes. These are horrible for your plumbing. I wanted to explain to the technician to run a lot of water down the sink and shower while he is sneaking out the drain. I'm a real estate developer, I built this 20 unit four-story property and I know a little bit about what's going on. Before I could even share with him what I wanted him to do with the water, he says I'm sorry you're gonna let me do it my way or I'm not doing it at all... Then he packed his shit and left and didn't do the work. I thought I would give this company another chance and it was absolutely a waste of time. UPDATE: after getting in touch with the owner (Art), he agreed to reduce the bill to $650 for the jetting service to clear the clog and some of the roots in our pipe. Here is the old review before getting in touch with the owner: YOU WILL want to READ THIS.... PLEASE. This is to be our long time trusted plumber, but no longer. We have done over $10K of plumbing over 2-3 needed plumbing upgrades and again for clearing a sewer drain 2 times. Art used to be great, but it seems like he's out of the picture. If you see this Art, please give me a call. If Cesar is not an accurate representation of the company, I would like to know. All of the following is working with Cesar at Long Beach Plumbing company. He also has a company called Gold Standard Plumbing so I would avoid that as well. (There is a Cesar the plumber at 24/7 pro rooter as well, but it's not the same Caesar! This one is excellent!) SUMMARY: they have quoted me for an extra $5K for something that was already upgraded (thinking I would not know) and charged us ~$1000 for jetting a drain (previously charged us $200) plus fraudulent 10% tax upcharge. (Services are nontaxable in California) Recently we had to clear a clog in our main sewer line because roots are growing into the old clay pipe. They gave us 3 prices for fixing the old pipe. 1-was first fiberglass sleeving our main sewer line ~$7k 2-replacing the iron half with a new pipe and fiberglass sleeving the clay pipe half ~$9k 3-2nd quote plus replacing other cast-iron drainpipes that come from our old bathroom and kitchen sink/laundry that supposedly needed to get replaced ~$14k HERE'S THE PROBLEM-when another very trustworthy plumbing company (beach plumbing) crawled under the house and took video and all of the extra cast-iron that needed to be replaced (additional $5K) was already ABS (already upgraded-does not need to be replaced!). This is super deceptive because they had done all of our previous plumbing and would know this. Previously they did the plumbing for a new half-bath and upgraded bath, with new plumbing. Obviously you want to get a couple quotes when you have a project this expensive, so I got 3 additional quotes. We ended up using 24/7 pro rooter because they were $5400 for the same sleeving job and $3200 for pipe bursting/pipe pulling which completely replaces all of the old pipe, and is a way better solution in my opinion because it's a brand-new pipe that will last 100+ years (versus pretty thin fiberglass epoxy that has to be done by someone skilled). After they knew we were going with someone else, They charged us over $950 for jetting our main sewage line, including a fraudulent tax charge. See the invoice below. Services like plumbing are nontaxable in California. They absolutely know this and are trying to be sneaky. When I mentioned it they changed it to a 10% up charge for fuel. They're just being vengeful and extremely unprofessional IMO. I hope this helps a lot of people make the right decision. Just be sure to get a couple quotes before anyone comes out. I'm sure they probably do great work, but for both the sleeving and if they did pipe pulling they would sub it out. read more

Like many other one star reviews you'll see for this company, I had used Long Beach Plumbing before for multiple call outs. This time we worked with Cesar. We were quoted for two prices on a flush of our duplex. It was explained that if the system was connected it would be one price but if the systems were not then it would be more expensive. Okay, that makes sense. The technician came out and flushed the system from one clean out and left. When we spoke to Cesar he said that the technician had flushed two separate systems. Then we said, no we have your technician on camera flushing one system and leaving. Surprise, surprise now confronted with video evidence, Cesar, "misunderstood" his technician. Worse part, they still charged us the price for the quote of flushing two systems. We were told by Cesar that he would call us to have us make the payment over the phone but didn't receive a call from him. We tried calling him but it went straight to voicemail. Later that evening he texts us after 7:30 pm and then again at 9:30 pm stating, I have a technician outside your house to take the payment. What reputable business sends out a technician at 9:30 pm to take a payment from a client. We ended up paying the invoice online (which we would have done if Cesar hadn't said he'd call us to take a payment in the first place). Overall, this was a horrendous experience and this is getting reported to every government agency that has oversight on these matters. read more

This is the 2nd time Long Beach Plumbing Co has fixed something another company fouled up, but THIS time it could have cost thousands (and I was prepared for it), and it did not. They are high quality and affordable. This company's owner understands the way to resource a job is to utilize less costly resources for simple work (like digging down to a sewer) and higher cost, experienced resources to actually diagnose and solve the problem. This company is the epitome of why I use owner-operated companies for contract work now. And -- lucky Orange County -- they're going to be opening an office there soon. I cannot say enough good about this company. Art (owner) and Lexo (project head plumber) were AMAZING. There were more than a few moments where things just did not make sense. They not only figured it out, they fixed something that makes NO sense (see the picture). If you want the gory details, keep reading. Im 2003, another company installed new trenchless sewer line for the front house. Instead of installing a clean out at the farthest point from the street, they installed a one-way clean-out from the front house of the front house (about 40' closer to the street.) Yesterday LBPC told me what the problem was, and there were two options: 1. Put a hole in the sewer to do the jet cleaning then plug it afterwards, or 2. Install a two-way clean-out so that it would never have the access problem again. Option 2 added about 4 hours of work -- after about 12 hours of work to get to solution #1 which has to be done anyway. NO BRAINER! Of course I want it fixed so it can never happen again. If the original people (who I am angry with for not providing me with the opportunity to choose then when it would have cost nothing extra, even though it was 15 years ago) had given me such clearly laid out options, it would have been done right the first time. read more

Called Art at Long Beach Plumbing Company at around 6:30 am on a Saturday. Mike Smith arrived around 7:30. I had a clogged toilet and shower. The toilet had to be removed to fix the clog. Mike was exceptional. He had the clog fixed toilet back in place and everything cleaned up by around 9:30. Mike was very clean, quick, informative and professional. They did come out quickly which I appreciate but did not test the system for gas leaks and said they capped the gas line to heater. Gas company came back out and said we still have leak(which we get to pay a service fee for.) Called another plumber, took pictures and nothing was done. Super bummed and hope thus doesn't happen to anyone else response to comment. you guys turned the valve off which takes 2 seconds. That is not capping the line. All other companies I spoke with would cap and test the line to ensure no leak is present. My wife even showed the service ticket the Gas Company wrote up. read more

I scheduled an appointment for repairs for June 25, 2019 between 8 am to 10 am. At 10 am I receive a text, advising me that the tech is leaving as he couldn't gain access. However, my tenant's cell phone number was provided; she had been waiting with her phone by her side all morning. She never received one call. I called their office. I received a call back simply telling me they need to reschedule; no apologies or explanations. I rescheduled the appointment to June 27, 2019 from 4 pm to 6 pm. My tenant had to rearrange her schedule for this. On June 27th, my tenant advises that no one showed up, again. However, someone apparently contacts her to advise that they can come at 8 pm later that evening. My tenant was not too keen on working with them. I understood and allowed her to make the decision. I have not received a call or any communications from this company since then. It's not the end of the world to wait and have no one appear. However, to do that twice to a customer and waste their time is unacceptable, especially for a business. I understand some people dream of being a business owner when they really don't have the capabilities to be one. Unfortunately, it takes certain consideration, skills, knowledge, and abilities to operate a business. There are plenty of other plumbing companies with far superior customer service or just common courtesy. We're adults, time is very precious. read more

Then told me they wanted my credit card number before even going out. My normal plumber charges $87.50 to snake a drain. While never used them for the work, I would never call them again. I called Art out of desperation on a Friday afternoon, and here's how everything unfolded. 2:00pm: My wife, son and I pull up to my mom's house. 2:01pm: Very clearly evident that we need a plumber. 2:04pm: I find Long Beach Plumbing Company on Yelp. I speak with Art and he says he can be out to give me a quote in 45 minutes. I'm sure that means 3 hours, but at least I'll be able to get a quote today. Maybe I can schedule service for Monday. Fingers crossed. 3:09pm: I'm shaking Art's hand after the job is completed perfectly. 65 minutes from the time I yelped "plumbers" until the job was completed, and we had running water with no standing sewage. I had them do both my bathroom remodels (tub, shower, tile, etc.) and later found out they did not install the overflow drain (this is against code per another plumber). They told me they installed it (it was on my invoice) and they actually charged me for it as well. To cover up that they didn't install it, they put the metal piece that covers it (on the inside of the tub under the faucet) on with putty. I had another plumber come out and confirm that they didn't do it right and it is against code. Now I have to pay another plumber $800 for the work that they already charged me for and didn't complete. When I contacted them about it they basically told me it wasn't required. Obviously this is not true; they needed to complete it since it's code, and they should have talked to me about it as well instead of hiding it and just keeping it on my invoice and letting me pay for it. The tile work was pretty good, but after having another tile guy do the backsplash in my kitchen, I can see that they are not professionals. I actually just looked up their license (don't include the "C36" if you want to look it up) and they are not licensed for tile. Also, only the owner's name is listed on the license and the person who completed the work for me was not the owner. If you do use them, at least make sure the owner is there. read more

I'm so happy to have finally found a reliable, quality, and reasonably priced plumbing service. The staff is AMAZING and the work is great. Fast, friendly, frictionless. The first time I used LB Plumbing was on a Sunday for an emergency situation with my washing machine. Every other plumbing company wanted $100 for an emergency estimate. I sent LB Plumbing some photos and a video and they sent me an estimate range over text. They came out to do the work and stuck to that range. However, they went above and beyond and unclogged my sinks too. Flash forward to this week, we had a foul smell coming from both bathrooms so I knew who to call. LB Plumbing came out and did a quick estimate to diagnose the problem. They found a hole in the sink drain that was flooding under the house. Again, they gave me a fair price and did great work to fix the problem. An unexpected issue like this is a huge pain but they made it really easy. And yet again, they went the extra mile and unclogged all the drains. Overall, I have no complaints and highly recommend Long Beach Plumbing! read more
