So these guys are something else I called for two reasons to fix a leak underneath my kitchen sink and to fix the faucet in the kids bathroom. They canceled the first appointment due to too many callouts. And when they did come, they only fixed the kitchen sink stating that they weren't aware of the Faucet in the kids bathroom and they'll have to come back. I called and schedule another appointment to no avail, they canceled again due to too many callouts, and in calling today as instructed to schedule an appointment, They told me they couldn't come out till next week that they were already booked. Not to mention the tech that did come out seemed irritated and inconvenienced. Oh and not to mention scheduling the appointment with their customer service rep was unapologetic. I do not recommend this company to anyone with plumbing issues. read more

*ATTENTION ALL PROPERTY OWNERS & POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS* This is a vendor that was hired by Beach Cities Management to fix a drainage clog. They left left Feces and urine on our KITCHEN floor for over 24 hours after their plumbers botched our downstairs toilet and kitchen sink (photos attached). They caused the initial damage, and sent someone back to fix it. Well when they did, they left his mess behind. Please do not use them. They left without saying anything as well. The owner is a liar in the comment section below, and I've also uploaded a photo of the invoice that property management charged us to have someone clean-up their mess. I had a leak under the bathroom sink. It seemed to come and go. Daniel's sent Manuel, a nice guy. He did a thorough, efficient job. Also fixed the hand control on the drain stopper. That wasn't easy, but he made short work of it. A couple weeks ago, they also installed a new garbage disposal in the kitchen sink. Great job. I recommend them highly. Good people, good company. I wish I could give a HIGHER rating, but honestly, my experience was "Meh" at best. I was referred to this company by the former homeowner of my home. My new home needed a new liner within the sewer line (root intrusions and offset pipe). They offered the best bid for the job required, and that made them very attractive. Initial communications with them were great, they replied back to in a timely manner. That's really why they even received 2-stars. The part that really prevented them from earning more is actual work performed. I was told the work will only take 1 full day. Day 1, their technicians arrived, I met with them, left my payment on the kitchen counter for them, gave them my number in case they have any questions while I stepped out of the house during their repair. (so far, so good, right?) Well, around 4:30pm (close to end of day), I get a call from the technician's supervisor and was informed that the work was not finished due to a misinformation of what city my home was in (Lakewood or Long Beach). WELL, if someone had called me right from the start, I would have immediately clarified what city we belong to in order to finish the work that day. BUT NO, they waited until the end of the day to ask. All the while, nothing was being done at my home (ALL DAY). When I came home that day, I come to find the side of my house all in disarray. My Crawl space access was left OPEN and EXPOSED, my planter section is dug up and dirt is everywhere, and caution tape is strewn across my plants, and on top of that, because they haven't finished the job, I was NOT able to use water within the house. Basically, the work never even began on Day 1. Day 2, they come back out to finish, but alas, when I came home later in the day, I see my yard is still in disarray with Crawl space access still Open, Caution tape and dirt everywhere. I reach out to the technician this time, and was told he had to take a break (for the rest of the day) due to oncoming heat exhaustion. That, I totally understand. He promised to come back later or tomorrow to close up my crawl space access. Day 3, NO SHOW and my check was cashed by this time, but the work has not been 100% completed. This is where it really pushed me to the edge. had to send a heated email to their office, regarding what's been happening. Day 4, finally a technician shows up and closes up the crawl space (the end). In the end, it took a total of 4 Days for the entire project to finish (start to finish). Moral of the story is, if the price is TOO GOOD to be true, it most likely is. read more

Complete life savers! Friday, March 2nd, 2018 at 4:40 pm we realized that our water main located in the alley behind our home had water gushing out at a very rapid rate. We called the water department, they came out within 15minutes and told us they were shutting the water off to figure out what the problem was. They said it was a coin toss... maybe the problem was something the city was responsible for... or, if the break was on our property, it was our problem. After a short while the city worker let us know our pipe had a break just before the city connection. So, we were responsible. We were overwhelmed quickly as it was friday night and it was a rare night when it was cold and raining. What plumber would possibly want to come out under these circumstances??? We called a couple of places and left message and then called Daniel's Plumbing. An actual person answered the phone... yep, even after hours! We were told they would send out someone within the next 15 minutes to assess our issue and give us an idea of the work required. Fifteen minutes later Daniel Jr. came out and assessed the situation. We live in an almost 100 year old house with much of the original plumbing lines in place. Daniel let us know that we had several options. Option 1 being to just dig up the broken elbow connection, find the break, make the repair and turn the water on. Option 2 would be to dig up and replace the ENTIRE water line. We agreed to go with Option 1 and set up for work to begin the following day, Saturday morning. At dinner we talked about Option 2. For a while we've seen signs of possible leaks such as high water bill, sloping in the back yard, poor quality of water because of lead in the water... so, we decided to make the investment and go with Option 2. We called Daniel's and let him know and they began the next morning, promptly at 8am. The entire crew arrived on time, and got after it! Before we knew it they had dug the trench, and found they needed to get under our cement. So, they gingerly cut the cement in a manner that it could be placed back almost seamlessly. Somewhere around 6pm that afternoon the water was back on, the backyard was cleaned up, and this whole nightmare was behind us. Our water pressure in the house is AMAZING now! The quality of the water is much better, and I'm looking forward to seeing the savings in next months water bill! My dad used to tell me that I'd know who my friends were when I was in trouble and not everyone was ready to help... My dad would say that the friends that showed up to help were my true friends. This lesson came to mind that cold rainy Friday night. Daniel's plumbing was there, ready and willing to help, and we won't forget it. (This is not the first time I've had problems with Daniel's plumbing......and the backstory on this review is that originally Johnnies Appliance service tech correctly diagnosed my washer was fine and there was a clog in my pipe, which was a plumbing issue. So I contacted Daniel's plumbing to inspect / fix the issue....which brings the story below...) FYI DO NOT!!! I REPEAT, DO NOT HIRE DANIELS PLUMBING AND SON INC. (1370 Redondo Ave, LB)! They inspected my drainage and found no issue, yet when I used my washer the water was still flooding.... I literally had to run my washer and time it to catch where the water was leaking from during the rinse cycle to find the problem myself weeks after they left. And when I called stating that I found the problem for them to solve since they claimed no issue previously, they wouldn't help me unless I could get my property manager to approve the work.....MY GUY, THIS IS THE SAME JOB THAT YOU DIDN'T COMPLETE. After calling my own property manager and claiming an emergency flooding (the only way to get Pabst Kinney Property Management to do anything) they had Daniels plumbing out there the same day, who then snaked the pipe I showed them and told me the clog was caused by lint over over time and was NOT MY FAULT. asked how I could have prevented this issue and they told me to get a netting to go over my laundry washer discharge nozzle (a mesh netting), and notified me that they would have given me one if they had one but told me I could get it at Walmart. I asked them to tell Pabst Kinney as I do too much around this house with no help and they said they would....now I'm writing this review and have to email Pabst Kinney because they sent me a bill for $195.00, stating that Daniel's plumbing said the issue was a rag in the pipe and was the tenant's fault ....man this is irritating. read more

This company needs to realize there is real competition out there for plumbers now! Guess I'm calling Mike Diamond. But really, my second star is for the first man and his son that came out. They were very nice and informative. I got a call the next day saying they're going to send a more "experienced" plumber to do a second walk through. I told him he needs to call the owner and tell her they were coming back out which he never did. The second guy that came out was walking around my house turning nozzles on and off walking in my gate without KNOCKING or ASKING! Wtf. Needed 3 things done in my house. A tech is sent out and sends photos back to the boss. 1. Kitchen faucet leak. Needs hot and cold cartridges inside the handles replaced. I have the parts. 2. Air gap for the dishwasher that sits next to faucet. Cap won't stay on, so needed plastic support underneath it replaced. I have the part. 3. Needed 2 bathroom faucets replaced. I have the faucets. The boss gets the photos from the tech and calls me with a quote. The quote was, get ready for it, some $800. Total work time probably no more than 2 hours max. I balked at the price. I tried to negotiate it but the boss wouldn't budge. I said ok, forget the bathroom faucets and I'll do the other two. The boss says no and hangs up on me. If you want to deal with folks like this good luck to you. $800 for two hours work and I supply all the parts? No way. read more

I am currently a tenant in Long Beach area (Belmont Heights). I consider myself qualified to review home repairs as I am a 35+ homeowner (Laguna Beach), comparable value as these beautiful Belmont Heights homes. I've remodeled/improved my property and a residential/commercial property manager for many years. Daniel's Plumbing has worked on improvement projects on this property since early 2021. On every visit they have left the day's work without checking that services they have interrupted are operational ..... My account is that they have NEVER LEFT MY UNIT functional. Hot water...Kitchen water not reinstated....INFERIOR plumbing fixtures installed. I had to purchase a kitchen faucet to replace the small sub-standard utility sink faucet they left me on my kitchen sink. IF YOU USE THIS COMPANY, stand over them as they work, check that everything is working before they leave, i.e. water to faucets, bathroom, hot water working, SHOW THEM WHAT FIXTURES TO INSTALL AS THEY DO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. Have used them before, but they're pretty flakey...guy on the phone says one thing when making an appointment, but (if and when) the plumber shows up, they tell me something else...then, they have to call thr office...then the plumber tells me the guy on tge phone never said 'that' when I called the day or two before. Plumber takes off, without doing the repair, telling me someone will call me from the office...which they never do. Meanwhile, I have lost time and have to start all over again with a new plumber. The newer plumber shows up (on time, as scheduled), gives an estimate and does a complete repair in less than an hour, and at a reasonable rate. Problem solved. Based on my past experience with Daniel's (no shows, no calls, no follow up), I should have jyst gone with my gut and NOTcalled them first or given them another chance....I suggest others do the same unless you like unnecessary aggravation. read more

They also said they would call 20 minutes out. 11:30 and no call....nothing. I called, they had no explanation. Sorry, that's very unprofessional in my opinion. We called two days in advance to make absolutely sure they would be here at 9 AM Monday because we had a very important meeting later that day. Incredibly, they showed up at 10 AM. When they weren't finished, they had to come back and they actually had the nerve to train charges $50 for the return trip that was caused by their original tardiness! On top of that, they ran hour and a half late back to finish the job! Yes they did the job, but they don't seem to understand that being on time and charging the agreed-upon amount is not the customer's responsibility. It is their responsibility. If you enjoy plumbers who show up an hour and a half late, then you'll love these guys. Otherwise, find someone else. read more

We were told to expect our water to be off for a two hour time frame in the mid morning close to noon. It didn't get shut off until way after, which was a major inconvenience in my home. Daniel's Plumbing is legit. I had contacted him since one of my toilets were clogged and needed it to be fixed ASAP. He was able to accommodate me right away and get it taken care of quickly. After fixing the first toilet, they took time to check on the other toilets to make sure the problem didnt move from one drain to the other. Very impressed. Costs were lower than competitors and he was able to give me quotes over the phone rather than get charged a fee for coming out and seeing what the issues were. read more

I contacted 6 plumbers and they all quoted me ridiculous prices... Daniel's plumbing and Son had extremely fair prices for what I needed installed, which was a 20 gallon electric water heater. He even recommended a good electrician to get the water heater running since 3 of the electricians I tried to hire failed to show up. I was extremely happy with the work and the fair prices... My bathroom sink started overflowing last night around 5:30. I called another company who, all told, made me wait over 7 hours over the course of 2 days. I got fed up waiting and bailing out water every 30 minutes, so I called Daniels. Tony picked up, was super friendly, and had me on the schedule to be serviced within the hour, even though it was about noon on a Sunday afternoon. He even went as far as to say if I didn't hear from the technician by the time the hour was up, I could call back and he would handle it immediately. He was also upfront about the prices being a bit more because it was an after-hours call, and though I was already expecting that, I appreciated that he wanted to make sure he was transparent before they came out. The technician was at my condo within 45 minutes. He was friendly and efficient, and had my sink clear and draining again in about 10 minutes. He was even apologetic about the price being higher, but it wasn't bad at all for a Sunday house call. I am relieved to have found a friendly and responsive plumbing service for my future needs! read more

I own a 4 plex and have used Daniel's on a few plumbing projects. They have always treated me fairly and squarely. I called them yesterday about a wall unit (heater,) I have had it looked at by two other companies and it was never fixed properly and was still not putting out the right amount of heat. They sent Jimmy, he was great!! Very knowledgable and he finally figured it out. The price was fair and now my wife will be happy with a warm house. I wish I called them first but I didn't think they serviced those, I thought I would ask and boy did they know how. Great company!! read more

I guess I should have read the reviews first. Now I can see why recent reviews have given this business low ratings. This business is not reliable and is not ready to meet with customers. I scheduled an appointment between 8:00-10:00 am and they never showed up. I waited almost 3 hours. I called several times and spoke with Tony, he said the plumber will be at my place before 10:00 am. They never showed up. Tony didn't even make a courtesy call to let me know they weren't coming. This shows what type of customer service they offer. In a way, I am glad I found out now then later. I spoke with Tony at 10:40am he said the reason why his plumber didn't show up was due to the coronavirus. This was even sadder to hear that Tony would use the coronavirus as an excuse of not showing up. I told Tony if they are not prepared to meet with customers they should at least inform their callers in advance that they are not ready to do business. They should not make appointments if they can't meet with customers. They just wasted my time and now I have to wait another day or 2 to get another plumber. read more

So yesterday we had some MAJOR plumbing problems and 2 rooms of our house flooded. DISASTER! The first guys that were sent out by our rental agency were an inferior plumbing company (Pro-Connect plumbing in Anaheim). They were horrible, treated my husband like dirt and didn't fix the problem. Then the rental agency sent out the guys from Daniel's. They got here sooo quickly (they were contacted after 5 and got here within the hour....WOW!!) They were very clean, nice and professional and diagnosed the problem within a few minutes and had us up and running so that we could use the toilets and shower. They fixed things that the other plumbing company said could not be fixed. They'll be coming back later today to do some more work to make sure we don't have this problem again. I'm not sure if this is a real company or not. They seem friendly and knowledgeable on the phone. I approached them because their reviews were good and their license was in good standing. Initially, I left a message to schedule a time for them to come by and give me a quote on a fairly sizable job. No-one returned my calls (I guess this should have been a hint). Next, I called to get pricing on a garbage disposal installation. I was happy with the quote and scheduled them to come out the following Monday (I called on Thursday). They gave me a 2-5pm window, which is still a pretty big time-frame to have your customers waiting. No call, no show - 3 hours of wasting my time. Very disappointing, very unprofessional, very sad to see local business owners treating local homeowners so badly. read more
