Drinks were good,Food... Not so good unless you like paying $12 for cheese wiz on your cold nachos. Pizza... not great. They waited to bring us simple food until we were done with our drinks, so to sell more drinks I guess. We won't be back. New owners we were told. They advertise Tuesday taco deal in at least 2 places we saw but didn't have any. We waited at least 1/2 hour for our food. read more

The food that we got was fantastic! We all the the seafood chowder, pub salad and a order of the onion rings. The place was very crowded so we new it would be a long wait but was ok with that, we thought. The service was sooooo slow it was incredible. The problem was that our bartender/waitress was being such a social butterfly she was doing a half ass job, great on the visiting part. It took 20 minutes just to get our check! Literally cannot say enough good things about this place. Love all the staff and the atmosphere is always awesome. We go here often and have always had a really good time. Love that they do karaoke. The pizza is probably some of the best I have ever had. I could eat it every time we go there. The service is always fast, especially for how busy it usually is. The seafood chowder was very good, the service... not so much! We had to ask multiple times for things. Another drink, the chowder, our bill. Good thing I'm an honest person, because when I went up to the bar to pay for our tab, (after asking 3 times), the bartender gave me the wrong tab (which was for $20, our bill was $50). She seemed very out of it. It would be nice to have more bar options in Long Beach! read more

If you want good fish and chips, go somewhere else. But if you want GREAT fish and chips, you have to have it here!! Hands down the best fish we've eaten out in I don't know how long. When you take that first bite, it's so nice and crispy! And tons of fish inside instead of mostly batter. The price was great too! And the coleslaw that comes with it... Delicious! We upgraded to the beer fries and we were so glad we tried them! They are the thickness of steak fries but with a curl to them. So yummy! We thought this place was so delicious, we are going back tomorrow night for more!! Totally recommend this place if you want some really good fish and chips! read more

Tried not to write bad review but here I am. I'm so mad about how the lady at the bar treated me and my friends. She must learn how to treat others especially she needs to understand she is in service field. Unfortunately this place is the worst place I have ever been because of customer service. After reading lots of reviews, some good, some bad, decided to try this place ourselves. We ordered burgers and was very disappointed. It was a bun, mayo, flat MacDonald size patty with some lettace. Cheese was extra. Thought we would try pizza next time but then a friend tried it and said it was horrible. We will pass on trying that too. read more

Worst service on the coast. Blond waitress changed clothes and her cowboy hat 3 times and went outside twice while we waited for service on a WEDNESDAY. 2 hours of my life I'll never get back for an order of nachos, bowl of chowder and a beer. Waitress never came back. Bald male staff was of zero help after stopping him twice as he walked by. Finally, over an hour of initially bring served we got the attention of a waitress with short brown hair, who apologized for the other waitress but it was too late. Brought the family here to long beach for theyre first ocean experience (the hubs is from Montana!) We had to stop at LBT...sit back, enjoy the people watching and have a cold beer or one of theyre specialty drinks...i had the prohibition tea which was pretty tasty for a sunny summer day. We ordered food and although it takes a really long time to get food, it was above and beyond worth the wait. I had theyre award winning seafood chowder and my husband had clam strips and both were amazing. My daughter ordered chicken strips and her order was gigantic, hand breaded chicken breasts that were cooked perfectly and she loved them (along with her margarita on the rocks ) you must have patience when you come in as they get busy and its not fast food or typical bar food. Its all done by scratch and by hand.....you get what you pay for!!!! We highly recommend the LBT for good beer, great staff and amazing food!!! Thanks guys for making our trip great!!! The seafood chowder was UH-MAZING! Clams, scallops, shrimp, and lobster! You need to try it! We were in LongBeach for a long weekend, and found ourselves coming back for more. The pizza was excellent and I could see they were quite popular, with many take out pizza orders heading out the door as we were sitting eating ours. Clam chowder is good... But karaoke is a joke. It is like a school cafeteria to sing in front of people you go to school with. I would suggest theu should make it fun, and theyd make more money for a small town with not much night life, especially with it being in a tourist spot. What can I say? The prior reviews are somewhat correct. The service was good. I ordered the pizza to go and returned 25 minutes later to pick up. It was ready when expected and the staff was friendly even though they appeared busy at the time. The disappointment happened when we began eating the pizza. We ordered 1 small cheese pizza, 1 medium seafood pizza (crab, lobster etc) and 2 side salads. The cost was $58. That might seem high , but I figured it was crab and lobster so it would be great. Well, it wasn't! The cheese pizza was just that. Basic cheese with no addition of other cheeses to enhance the flavor. As for the seafood pizza, it was the worst NO taste pizza I have ever had, and that includes a Dominos pizza once eaten. The pizza was covered with an Alfredo sauce. Should be great, right? Well, it reminded me of wall paper paste. Absolutely NO FLAVOR! We had eaten here a little over a year ago when we visited and the pizza was great. WHAT HAPPENED! read more

Terrible terrible service. This bar seemed to be the only place to have karaoke on a Saturday night, karaoke part was okay... they have it in a dark room off in the back. The problem is the only way you're going to get a drink is to go to the bar and order one. My boyfriend stood in long for quite a while, to have a couple of people cut in front of him which seemed to be regulars and friends with the bartender, so of course she didn't care. He watched as people ordered multiple drinks without ever being carded. As soon as it was his turn, she refused to serve him my drink w/o me being there, so I had to go up and show her my ID, eventhough she hadn't done this for anyone else in the bar or in our party sitting at our table. The food was outstanding!!! Super fresh oysters, clams, and halibut. We also had a burger and pizza, which were both so good. I hope to go back and eat everything I didn't eat the first time. I like the atmosphere as well. I only gave four stars because the service was very weird. Our waitress was abrasive at first, then warmed up to the men in our group but wasn't interested in serving the women. She would take one drink order then disappear. Also we ordered appetizers and some came with our entree instead of as an appetizer. By the time we got our dinner we had seen three different waitresses, none of which asked if we needed anything, which we did, and I went and found some items, such as malt vinegar, at a different table. We had about two thirds of a large pizza left and asked for a box, she brought us a small styrofoam box so I asked for a pizza box and was told they don't like to give those away. We were there on New Year's Eve and had the worst service ever!! Wait staff could not give us the time of Day! We had planned on staying until midnight but after waiting 45 minutes for a hard cider we decided to go back to our rental and ring in the New Years!! This is a great place! Don't expect a touristy place just because it is on the main street among gift shops and tourist traps. This is a great home town bar that makes you feel like you are home once you enter. They have a full bar and great burgers, plus they have home made pizzas to order. 2 pool tables, lots of seating, dj/karaokee some nights, jukebox, and lots of fun to go around. My friends and I went there are first night in town and liked it so much that we had to come back the second! read more

I wrote a review on this place last year that would have barely given the place one star due to the ridiculously rude staff and service. I visited once again this last weekend and I must say, this place has changed dramatically. The staff and service was night/day compared to last time. I spent a lot of my time in Long Beach here because of the service, friendliness, and the PIZZA! Bartenders are friendly and very nice and they just treat you the way you're supposed to be treated. This bar is a lot of fun! We drove from Seattle to visit with 4 of our friends, and we spent our Saturday night playing here. They have several pool tables, a nice long bar, a lot of seating, and karaoke! A very homey comfortable place to just hang out and enjoy time together. The bar tender was extremely friendly, and took good care of us! She gave good suggestions on the local beers & drinks. Nothing fancy, just a good "locals" bar, with better than average food. Service was surprisingly attentive as there were only 2 ladies waiting on everyone, and the place was packed. $3 onion rings were generous and tasty. Hubby had pizza, also good. I had cod-n-chips, four large cod strips atop a ridiculous pile of fries, could easily be shared for two people. Cod was very good, it had something "different" about it, I'd swear it was "buttered" somehow (and we know everything is better with butter!). The cup of coleslaw with the cod was surprisingly fresh and delicious, too. Nice place to hang, low key, good food, will stop in again when we're up that way. read more
