Where did all the servers go? I've been to this Longdoggers since it opened and service has always been quick and efficient. Not tonight. The 2 servers that were there were doing what they could but couldn't keep up. Long delays and absence of help made this a long drawn out visit. Food was same as usual, good bar-type food. But when the server took my water glass for a refill, I did not see it again! No one seemed to notice I had nothing to drink. I'll try it again and hope tonight is not the new norm. read more

This is one of our go-to joints when I'm in town visiting family. The hot dogs are grilled, which is a huge plus. All of the toppings are fresh and delicious. A decision between waffle fries and onion rings is always difficult. Lastly, the service is always amazing. Went to Long Doggers on Post Rd this past Saturday at 7pm. It was very crowded with about 8 people waiting outside for a table (had to park behind the Circle K). One bar bench open at the outside part of the bar that I took. Ordered a Philly Cheese Steak and an Johnny Slaw Dog to go. Got a bottle of Yuengling beer while I waited for the To Go order. After about 15 or so minutes order came. They had a steel drum player on site which sounded tropical. After arriving home the Johnny Slaw Dog was just a plain hot dog. Daughter said it was OK but was disappointed. She still enjoyed it though. My Philly Cheese Steak was very good. It was the chopped meat variety (like Genos) not the sliced meat (like Pat's). I like both types as I have been to both Genos and Pat's in south Philadelphia. I have been to a couple of Long Doggers and the Post Rd is the one I frequent the most. Wait staff are great. It was crazy busy and they never have given me the wrong order before. I will be back and need to remember to check the order before departing. read more

Just a great place to hang out, order some casual beach food and some cold beers. The outside area is perfect, but if it is a little too hot for you, just slip inside the a/c and relax. The chilled peel n' eat shrimp, grilled shrimp skewers, and ahi tuna are all winners. You just can't go wrong here unless you are uptight and hard to please. I am a former restaurant and bar owner and now I am in the business of designing and building commercial kitchens. When I go to any eating establishment, I always look for imperfections as these are opportunities in my field. I will tell you that this is by far one of the most impressive places I have ever had the privilege to visit. My girlfriend and I sat outside and we were helped by the outside bartender (I'm guessing) who immediately greeted us and was up on all the specials and the beers on tap. I ordered the fish spread to start.... AMAZING!!! as we continued to dine, EVERY waitress that walked by and one cook asked us if we needed anything, for a beach bar you are treated like royalty and I don't know about you but service is a huge factor in my dining experience. When you top that off with amazing food and great prices how can you go wrong??? I am in the process of moving to Melbourne and I have only been here once, but I have clearly found my home base! Ah the joys of eating out and being gluten free! This weekend I visited a place out town. They said they had a gluten free menu so of course I had to go and see. At first glance I was shocked they actually had a gluten free menu. OF course I had to read all the details and make sure the gluten free menu was actually gluten free. I read the first few options were different kinds of fish and chicken which were ok. I read they had tacos which were yellow corn shells which I was unsure of for a few reasons. And then I looked at the salad dressings which are a hit or miss. They could've been gluten free or not. I notice the sides like fries and fried plantains. High chance of not being gluten free. Lastly I notice the wings. Which I found odd to be on a gluten free menu. And at the bottom it had a statement about gluten free and warnings. The waitress came for our order and I asked a few basic questions, which she was unsure of the answers. She went and got the manager or chef. So I asked him a few questions and here are some of the responses I received.... Are the sweet potato fries fried in the same fryer as the other food, like breaded chicken. He responded : They are fried in the first fryer by their self. I then asked if the wings were breaded and if they were fried or baked. He Responded: The wings are not breaded but they are fried in the same fryer as the other wings. My response: Then the wings are not gluten free and should not be on the menu. He had nothing at all to say. The employees were friendly and it was a great atmosphere. The biggest issue is having a gluten free menu but the items aren't really gluten free. Excellent place for a quick bit. Can be noisy towards the night but it's all in good fun. Everything on the menu is fantastic except the sides. If you want a fried side I recommend the waffle fries. The onion rings will leave you disappointed. But don't let that sway your opinion the food is very good. read more

Mixed feelings............ My husband has been to Long Doggers many times without issues and loved the place. However, We went to the Grand Opening in Cocoa Beach. I had a Chili Slaw Dog, my husband had a burger and our son had a footlong. Service was slow, but we chalked it up to being new and they would get better. The food came and the waffle fries were way overcooked as well as my hotdog and my husbands burger. We let the waitress know how terrible the burger was even though we don't like to complain and they did remove his meal off the bill. We figured they couldn't improve unless you let them know something is wrong. My son and I went back again on another day. I had the Tuna Poke and my son had a chili cheese dog. It was pretty good. Today, my husband went to the location in today in Indialantic and sat down and a waitress approached him and told him that two ladies were going to sit there but went to the restroom first and asked him to move. He left and went and ate somewhere else. Hope the two ladies were locals and that their money is better than ours. We will not be going back to Long Doggers! read more

You can fo to any Longdoggers and expect excellent food at a reasonable price. I usually go to the one on A1A but the new one in Viera is just as nice. The Viera spot took a little longer to be served, but I'm chalking that up to the fact they are brand new. The only thing I don't care for are the square fries. They really need to ditch them and get back to real fries like the rest of the U.S. serves. read more

1st time every coming to this place and it was AMAZING!! I have severe food allergies and rarely go out to eat, but since my boyfriend and I were on a weekend getaway we decided to give this place a try. I am so glad that we did because the manager Mike was just incredibly understanding and helpful. He went out of his way to make sure they could make something that I was going to love. Fun and nice staff.... good is good and the atmosphere is laid back. The owner can be a little self absorbed, but it isn't personal. After years of seeing him, he just gets into a business mindset and hasn't learned no relax and have as much fun as we are. He doesn't mean anything buy it, he takes alot of pride in his businesses and gets one track minded. He gets that was because he cares... Even Mother Threasa had bad days lol.... it is worth it, the waitress are so sweet and the the seared tuna ceasar salad is so so so good. read more

Basically, it's a bar with a deep-fryer. Young, inexperienced, wanna-be Hooters girls run around and do a pretty decent job tending to tables and orders, considering. We've been there a few times where I've had to remind the waitress we're still there. They should be more aware that many people stop there before a show at the King Center, and time gets tight. It's a small-town small-time operation that really needs stronger and more organized management. I fear hot dogs, so I typically order wings or burgers. The wings are pretty decent, and waffle fries are good too. Avoid the cheese fries - Whiz will kill you. I've spied some of the fish dishes, but I get nervous about fish too. The wrong amateur in the kitchen could cause someone a very bad day, and I have spent my share of time in the poopie room due to unsanitary kitchens. Beer is beer, and they have a very good selection. I am no hipster, so I can admit that I still hate craft beers, so a good selection of well-known real beers is always a good thing. I was visiting for just a week, and my buddy and I enjoyed Long Doggers enough to visit it twice in the short time we had. Their food was phenomenal; prepared fast, with fresh ingredients, very generous portions, and value priced. They have a nice selection of hotdogs, sandwiches, fresh salads, seafood, and sides. We tried several of their themed hotdogs, and they were the best I've had outside of New York and Chicago. Their fried fish were lightly breaded in a hearty cornmeal crust, and was perfectly cooked. Service was very prompt and attentive, and everything was very well maintained, despite half of the restaurant being outside under a cabana roof. We loved the tropical beach atmosphere, and I had flashbacks of my surfing days with all of the decorations and videos of dudes like Slater and MR. Long Doggers was one of the best combinations of good food, good service, and atmosphere to remind us we were in the tropics. I definitely plan on going back, whenever I'm in town. read more
