I'm not easily impressed with bagels but this place is awesome. Super hot bagels that taste super fresh and super rippable with great schmear is worth the drive over town for. They clearly must be doing something right because the energy was loud and fun here. They have a bunch of locations and we got our bagels super quick in a pack of 3. They don't have a ton of flavors but the ones they do have are very well done

Other bagel shops are no competition with this hot spot in Pineapple Grove that offers 30 minute grace period parking directly in front of the business. The momentum of hungry customers strolling into the small eatery was impressive and took a peek. The movie theme was evident with black and white checker floors and two black directors seats next to a colorful wall collage of people and famous actors enjoying bagels. There were several types of bagels baked in the view of every customer making the process of sheer freshness transparent. The sizes of bagel bundles start at three with a container of schmear. Sat at the lone table inside and unearthed my salted bagel from the brown paper bag bearing the PopUp Bagel name and instantly noticed its impressive weight with a dense yet fluffy bite. It was actually difficult chewing since I was smiling the whole time. Absolutely the best salted bagel that I have encountered. Congratulated the baking crew and front staff of my wonderful morning snack and bragged about PopUp Bagels to others who came over here to buy three more bagels who were also mesmerized by the uncommon taste. Great job guys, keep it up!!!

I like how PopUp Bagels focuses on a few bagel varieties and does them well. The scallion cream cheese was very good, creamy and a bit light, the lox came in a package and was a bit salty and fresh. And of course, the bagels - there were great - a bit chewy while also soft and doughy. They have a few inside tables and outside tables in a sunny turf area in between the building and The Ray Hotel. Great service.

Having grown up in New York and being a serious bagel lover, of course I had to check out this place that's created so much of a stir. Wait... what's this? A minimum order of three bagels and you have to buy their cream cheese too? A $15 buy-in? And all the bagels are hot? Of course that sounds fantastic -- but how do they pull that off? I remember bagel shops in NYC where you'd ask, "What's hot?" because there's nothing better than a bagel straight out of the oven. Some places would even hang a "HOT" sign on the basket so customers knew. So yes -- I went in skeptical. I'm line-averse, so I went very early on a weekday. No line. I ordered three bagels and a tub of plain cream cheese. And yes -- the bagels were hot. The cream cheese was excellent too. I'm officially convinced -- this very original concept works. It's also backed by impressive marketing: the packaging, the store artwork, the whole presentation. They're promoting bagels like I've never seen before. The shop itself is great, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I managed to snag the only table inside, which made it fun to watch customers order while I sampled my purchase -- a mix of first-timers and clear repeat customers. Some people complain about the pricing, but honestly, it has to be done this way. The entire concept hinges on always serving HOT bagels. They don't use warmers because that would change the bagel, and if they sit too long, they don't sell them -- which is costly. I respect that. I'm happy to get on the pop-up bandwagon and support the concept. When I'm here, I never have to ask, "What's hot?" As for the bagels themselves -- very good. Perfectly cooked, generously topped (poppy seeds, or whatever you choose), slightly smaller than traditional NYC bagels but not an issue. A little crispy on the outside, warm and soft inside. The ones I took home toasted beautifully.

My last night staying in the area my hubby surprised me PopUp Bagels for breakfast. The 6 bagels were so warm and had the Everything bagel and a salt bagel. Took a whiff inside the bag and it brought an instant happiness to my morning. Both bagels were soft and the cream cheese was moist and easy to spread. My friend was with us and bragged about having PopUp Bagels in NYC and he was right. Great start to my morning.

Not sure I love this concept of plain bagels with a side of dunking cream. They will not prepare or fill the bagel for you. You are suppose to rip it and dunk it. The bagels taste great and they are fresh. A bit smaller than one is to expect. Lots of toppings on it. They are freshly made and the flavor is better than most in the area. I didn't care for their dunking creams at all or the concept of ripping bagels.. I ate mine at home toasted with my own spread.

Got to check out this new bagel spot with the parents while they were in town. We grabbed a three pack of bagels and smear to go. There was only one high top table inside and it was kind of loud so we took it to go. Got the caramelized onion spread which was nice, soft and tasty but on the sweeter side. Bagels are served toasted but uncut. You're supposed to rip and dip to eat them.

Nice store, clean, well lit, friendly energetic staff. Weird concept. Cannot buy just one bagel, or cream cheese. Can only buy them buy 3's, with a tub of cream cheese. So 3 bagels with a tub of cream cheese was $15. Pricey. We got everything bagels which were very good. Covered with...everything. Both sides. All bagels are always pretty much fresh out of the oven. So they are soft and chewy. They won't cut them in half and won't toast them. We got scallion cream cheese. I will say this was excellent scallion cream cheese, IMO. The scallions were small, not overwhelming like in most others. So yeah, it was really good, but you either have to bring it home to put away or go with at least one other person. You can't just go to get one bagel and cream cheese.

The hot bagels - unbelievable
Genna G.

Worth the hype. Worth the splurge ( both calories wise and economic wise ) . These bagels are out of this world delicious. The scallion cream cheese is the best. Not cheap - 3 bagels with a schemer for 16$ but worth it for an occasional treat .

So if you're a northerner, this is for you. The bagels are great, the coffee is good & the proportions are very generous for the pricing. The 2 eggs meal seems more like 4 eggs. Lots of lunch options as well. Plenty of seating inside with a few tables outside. The service is super quick, this place is always fully staffed so even if it's packed when you walk in, which is usually is, don't get discouraged. There is a parking lot & bonus- it's close to tjmaxx & lots of shopping nearby so great place to grab food & run errands. Love this place. Repeat customer. Highly recommend for anyone who loves NYC delis.

This is the first location of The Seed that I've been to, so I'm not sure how other locations compare, but this one was pretty small in general with limited seating inside. Luckily my fiancé and I got there while it was empty, so we were able to choose two of the four bar seats along the wall across from the counter. I had a latte with almond milk and house-made lavender syrup, and we each had a classic croissant sandwich. Latte with house-made lavender syrup: I really enjoyed this. My fiancé described this as a "mix of coffee and tea", which I think was fitting. The lavender syrup sweetened the coffee with light floral notes and the latte was a great balance between herbal, floral, and creamy overall. Classic croissant sandwich: The egg patty was pretty thick, I'd say just under a 1/2" thick. It was packed with bacon and cheese, and the sandwich was toasted the way I liked. The croissant was buttery and flakey, and overall I enjoyed the sandwich. There wasn't anything unique about the sandwich though, it was just a solid breakfast croissant sandwich that was made well. No special sauces or other ingredients. I guess that's why it's the classic. The staff was nice and pleasant, and our food and drinks were made in a reasonable amount of time. I do think the food and drink were a bit overpriced for what it was (our bill was ~$40 for two sandwiches and two drinks), but they say the ingredients are all locally sourced so I'm assuming that's why. Overall, this was a great experience and I'd certainly choose this The Seed over a larger chain coffee shop. Just know that the dollars can add up quickly here!
