Wow, the pizza is delicious!!! My wife and I visited for the first time on 03/08/20 . We enjoyed the white pizza with it's delicious thin crust and quality cheese. I also had the lasagna which was a little too watery for me but still tasted great. The customer service was impressive! The staff really goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Rating from my little dude. We ordered the 18" Sicilian pizza for delivery. He choose extra cheese and garlic for the impressively large square pizza. He's a fan. I also got him a small order of garlic knots, because he's a bread lover. The pizza came fairly quick and it was steaming hot upon arrival, something he appreciates because he was really hungry! The square shape brings back memories of eating my Nonna's pizza during childhood. Most people are fixated on pizza being a round shape, but all the relatives on my mom's side of the family made it square or rectangular, so I'm a fan. There's something comforting about memories of fighting with my brother for the middle piece without any crust :-) They also get the sauce right here, it's simple and delicious. The worst thing about trying a new place is when you bite into a piece of pizza and discover the sauce tastes like it came out of a tomato paste can with a heavy amount of oregano, just really gross. Sauce should showcase quality tomatoes, not canned products and dried spices. They have a pretty good sized menu, although we were just looking for a good pizza and Yelp did not disappoint us. I'd definitely go in person to check it out if I didn't have delivery as an option. We'll be ordering again, it's also delicious the next day. read more

When I was there I was the only customer in the building. The pizza and salad came out quick. The pizza is just how I like it. Thin crust, New York style, simple and floppy. My favorite toppings are Pepperoni, Jalapeños and garlic that's it. It is delicious, great tomatoey, mozzarella floppy goodness. A little hard hard to eat without the toppings falling off. But that's the texture my mouth prefers. Salad was cold and fresh also good. Wish that they more choices for salad dressing but ranch, and Italian woks for me. These slices depending on my hanger mood, 2 to 3 slice max for myself. The house pie is delish and not greasy at all, garlic knots a nice snack or starter. If you do happen to dine in, depending on your hanger mood. I suggest do not be a picky eater and be ok with what's out by the slice or call in your whole pie order ahead of time. My dad came across this pizza place in Spring Valley a couple years ago and we've been going here since. Due to most of his young adult life living in Long Island, this brought my dad a piece of nostalgia and authenticity when it comes to pizza on the other side of the country. (They have gluten free pizza on menu) Came here on a Friday night around 7pm. Place was empty (surprising). Honestly didn't have that much of a variety of options for slices for a Friday night. 4 different options ( 1 being plain cheese). The young woman cashier was very friendly. Greeted every person that came in after me. She informed me that with the slices I could add on ANY additional toppings for NO extra charge!!!! I've never heard of another place doing that! So I got their cheese slice & added pineapple & jalapeño for free. Just $2.00 for that slice Also got a ham & pineapple pizza that was already made for $2.50. Pizzas had good flavor, I wish the slices had a lil more sauce on it but that's my personal preference. My only complaint is the crust can get hard more quickly than other places when reheating. Being from North Jersey, I can personally attest to their N.Y. style Pizza. Their pizza tastes exactly like NY pizza. If you go there on Monday and Tuesday, they have an 18in. Cheese Pizza Special for only $10. Well worth the trip over. They have another location over on Murphy Canyon too. I'm not certain if they have done-in, but you can always call. I really like the White pizza, the crust is perfect and sauce is on point for this style if pizza. This is as close as you can get to East Coast standards. Fire pizza! Well,... So far. Great first impression, friendly staff, fair prices. Today was our first time ordering from here, I came across it by looking for a local New York style pizza and found this on Google. I like my pizza thin with a nice bite and crust to it. Ive tried a couple other spots around lemon Grove and this place is by far better than all the others if you don't like doughy thick pizza. I've even tried expensive "authentic Italian" pizza from the fancy Italian spots in lemon Grove and this is hand down better. I ordered a medium 14" pizza half deluxe and half Italian flag I believe is the name and it was delicious. My girlfriend and I don't usually finish a medium pizza but we both ate 4 slices each and finished the whole pie. I won't lie, I did order takeout and when we got home it was a little cold but if it's good cold I can imagine hot out the oven. Wasnt their fault it was cold, we just took too long to go pick it up. Next time we will try to get there faster and if not heat it up in the oven a little. Can't wait to try the other pies. read more

Finally someone who says that they make New York style pizza and not just boasting. Many days in the past, I searched far and wide for a pizzeria place that actually knows the taste of a New York Pizza. Been deceived 99% of the time, but this place has finally proven true. As a former New Yorker who has enjoyed New York pizza for over 30 years, you cannot deceive me on taste. Now I'm not going to say that this place is 100% like New York Pizza because you don't have the New York WATER to make the pizza dough, but this is pretty close, and probably one of the best for San Diego. I give it an 8 out of 10 for it being similar to New York pizza, but for San Diego, it's five stars! read more
