I'm a little surprised by all the great reviews. I ordered a Margarita pizza, picked it up 15 minutes later, and drove home a few blocks away. It was cold and the cheese was hard. Tasted nothing like East Coast pizza, and had so much garlic I thought it was Parmesan. It had almost no sauce, but the little that there was tasted good. Luigi's or Bronx pizza is much better. Maybe an off day considering the amount of positive reviews. Might give them another chance. Not sure. read more

I ordered a large pie approximately four months ago and it was excellent. This time I called ahead and ordered a pick up order. I called the 1st time and it rang, I kid you not, atleast 10 times so I hung up and called back. I ordered a medium pepperoni with extra sauce extra cheese and he said about 20-25 minutes. I got there in 35 minutes and then I was told he's the only person there, he got slammed and it's going to be about 7 minutes... I looked over and my pizza was sitting on counter burnt to a crisp. We live in North Park and drive to this location because of the quality of the food and the awesome customer service! We have become regulars and Stephanie and Marco always greet my family and I with a warm and contagious smile. I've been craving New York style pizza for the longest time but didn't fancy driving all the way to north park since I live here in Spring Valley. All I have to say is that I am 110% satisfied. The pizza is perfect: dough is great (my last bite of the crust was just the cherry on top), toppings are flavorful, and the grease is just right! Today I went there and got two pies. The lady at the front was rude and charged me $19.00 per pie instead of $18.00 like the menu on the wall said. I tried to politely explain that you have to charge the advertised price but she told me that she charged what her "system" tells her to. I got frustrated and raised my voice becoming agitated by her not understanding where I was coming from. A man making the pizza heard this and came from around back, telling her to refund the difference. I don't like being the bad guy and she shouldn't have made me push the issue. Otherwise the order was fast and pizza was good. Please update your menu prices to avoid this situation. Went there again, same story, over charged me and I went through the same back a forth about being fair and charging the price on the menu. They are ridiculous, rude and fraudulent.Don't shop here, buy pizza at Gaetanos, at least they will charge you the menu price and the pizza will be better. read more

We ordered Post-mates for the first time tonight at Long Island Mike's Pizza and all I've got to say is that they definitely have a returning customer. We got the 18' Sicilian pizza wish pepperoni and it was probably one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted. If you like fluffy pizza with sauce, this pizza is the one for you! This pizza is an excellent and tasty representation of New York Pie. I do not go anywhere but here in the El Cajon/Spring Valley/La Meas area for pizza. Great deals on Monday and Tuesday. I would recommend the Meat Lovers and Black Olives and Mushroom pie. Thin, crispy exterior with just theright amount of mouth chew along with a simple tasty sauce and just the right amount of cheese. The pie here is just like the one off Murphy Canyon and Balboa. There is only one other place that I like better, but it is a bit of jaunt for us to hit up Bronx Pizza in Hillcrest. Pizza: this was not bad. Got the meat lovers pizza, spent $20 bucks, and it was okay. It was thin which was nice, not super bready. Wings: terrible. Absolutely terrible. Spent $17 on the wings and got a box of mush. Are wings supposed to be mushy? They were soft, no crunch, no crisp, no flavor. I am so upset I spent $17 on a pile of soggy wings. Seriously, do not get the wings. Ranch: I don't mean to be annoying and talk negatively about a condiment, but the ranch is terrible. It's not made in store- it comes in little packets; "Rod's Ranch". Not their fault as they don't make this crap however, they do choose to serve it and not refrigerate it when it clearly says, "REFRIGERATE" across the top of the packet. Their pizza is great, no doubt, but don't order delivery because they have never once gotten my order correct. The first time they did not include the drink I paid for, nor made the pizza to my specifications. The second time, incorrect toppings. I let it go. Tonight I ordered a pizza, again my drink was missing. When I called the Postmates guy, he said they reviewed the order for him and insisted the drink was not for me. This pizza is excellent. The crust is thin but also chewy and moist, not like a cracker at all. Their slices are really big and they have a lot of slice options at the front. They also sell full pizzas, garlic knots, calzones, strombolis, salads and dessert. I tried the buffalo chicken pizza, which was buffalo sauce, ranch, chicken and cheese, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also tried the white meat (just cheese, pepperoni and beef, no red sauce) which was delicious, and the pepperoni ricotta, that was a great one too. I like how the toppings are super fresh and the slice isn't overloaded with sauce and cheese. I love the garlic knots. They are light, fresh and you can tell that real ingredients have gone into the garlic butter that gets brushed over the top. It's garlicky without being salty or soggy with oil. It comes with a side of chunky tomato marinara that is refreshing. The restaurant has lots of seating with a fill your own soda station. It's super clean and the staff are very welcoming.
