    Shrimp and chicken
    Jazz P.

It has been a long while since I've had LJS. It used to be one of the only fast food joints that I went to as a kid. I used to love their chicken planks with sweet and sour sauce. I didn't realize there were any still around, so when I saw this one, I stopped out of nostalgia. I got some box combination with a drink. A couple of chicken planks, like five shrimp and hush puppies. Their hush puppies are still delicious. The chicken is still crispy with all of those little crunchy fried bits from the batter. Sadly, I did not get any sweet and sour sauce with them. And the shrimp was okay too.

This review is for the Long John Silver's section of the location. When I was younger there was a LJS in Geneva, NY and we stopped every so often and I would find myself craving those wonderful hushpuppies and fried chicken and fish. Several years ago I was doing a lot of work in Batavia area and would occasionally stop in and it would be a pleasant reminder of the past, but recently the food had just completely dropped in quality. Came recently and got a sampler with chicken and fish. When I arrived there was a sign on the front that they had no hushpuppies - ugh, so sad! I was not greeted when I walked in, several employees walked by the counter and I was totally ignored. Finally someone was nice enough to take my order and I walked up to the counter to pick it up. The fish and chicken both tasted like they had been sitting around and were small, overfried and extra greasy. The fries were old and greasy and they offered a biscuit instead of the hushpuppy. The biscuit was literally smashed and looked like a pancake. Pros - Their Cole slaw and tartar sauce are great, actually my favorite. I actually make the shredded sweet Cole slaw at home myself using a copy cat recipe. I wish management would re-evaluate this location and improve on quality as it definitely used to be better.

This is the last long John silvers on our area and my mother and I will drive 40 minutes to Batavia to get done fried fish when we are craving it. This is a small restaurant that is also a KFC. Went here yesterday and we got a family pack (there is a coupon currently on their website for 5$ off). We got 8 pieces of fish a giant mount of fries, snd s giant coleslaw. Everyone knows how good KFC/LJS coleslaw is!!! Well the whole meal plus we got two drinks was 24$ I don't think that's bad at all!! That fish with the malt vinegar is heaven! My only complaint is long John silvers used to make their own tartar sauce snd put in packets it was AMAZING!!! The best hands diem....well yesterday they had the malt vinegar but only Heinz tartar sauce and the Heinz brand was not very good at all. I'm so glad this is still here I hope more people craving a good fish fry will hit this place up! The taste for me is also part nostalgic from my childhood. I recommend! And even if you don't like fish it's a full functioning KFC as well!

First, the menu is chaos. For being reservation only, there's no way all that food is fresh when you're turning away guests and not turning tables- would be scared to order seafood here after the state of the arugula I saw. ambiance: first, the lighting. oh my god. why is there white bright light bulbs in a steakhouse? is this a hospital? also why is the music playing out of a television? it sounded like a guy may have been playing it on his cell phone. the bar seemed nice and i was terrified we'd be sat up top where it looks like you could be interrogated or learn algebra. It is clear that this place was driven by US foods, hell, it's right there on the menu. In 2025, that's unacceptable. Spending upwards of $100 on a dinner for two to be served what is basically mall food court fare is insanity. Even the best chefs couldn't make that distributor look good. Let's start with apps. The antipasto although cutesy seemed like a waste, most people would prefer a roll. The utica greens were decent but no cannellini beans is a huge miss and the sauce was thin. The toasty bread didn't have any brown spots like put that under a broiler cmon. The caprese steak should be an app but the balsamic was flavorless and cheap. Having chicken riggies on the menu with chicken as a $4 add on is crazy. There is no such thing as "riggies," it's chicken riggies. The amount of chicken in the chicken riggies was a disgrace. The veal milanese was fine, highlight being the mashed potatoes which were amazing, but strange to have mashed as an autoside with what should be traditionally served over pasta. the arugula was the worst ive ever seen, what could have been a simple peppery well dressed salad was wet, flavorless, possibly expired? it looked like if you went grocery shopping a week ago and tried to make it work We saw one kind gentleman turned away at the door to a restaurant that could clearly seat him and heard two servers say they only had one table each, that's crazy. another two top tried to get in but the stairs are not ADA compliant so they left. don't sell a french 75 if you don't know how to make it the right way Lots of kinks to work out, bad value and bad menu. The staff was trying their best but set up for failure.

When we walked in, another customer was raving about the food and telling us how much we'd enjoy it, which honestly made me feel a lot better about trying somewhere new in an unfamiliar area. The vibe is like a bar turned restaurant, dark and a little moody but not off-putting. My mom even got a cutesy leprechaun margarita, which made her smile. We started with 10 mild wings for the table, my sister got a Caesar salad and said the dressing tasted homemade, and this is where I tried French onion soup for the first time. It was okay, just really salty. My mom ended up finishing it, but I did like that the cheese layer wasn't too heavy. I'm still on the hunt for a French onion that really does it for me. I didn't get pictures of the mains, but my mom and I both got steak, I had mashed potatoes and she got a baked potato. My sister got the fettuccine alfredo and marveled at the flavor. She kept saying you can tell it's a local spot and not a chain just by the care put into it. My steak was good, nothing crazy but you really can't go wrong. The mashed potatoes were a little bland but still edible. My mom loved her meal and finished everything, while my sister and I both had leftovers. The only downside was the service. Our waitress wasn't very friendly, kind of impatient and a little passive aggressive, like we were bothering her just by being there. Given the lack of diversity in the area, it didn't completely surprise me, but it was still noticeable. We didn't let it ruin the night though. Overall we still enjoyed it and I'd go back if I'm ever in Batavia again. Reasonable prices, solid food. Taking everything into account, I'd give it a 6.9/10.

He was a professional restaurateur who was paid to sit with celebrities at the posh places he worked in South Florida in the 70s. Whatever else is said, the man had high standards in food and dining experience. When he opened, and for years after the place was always packed and very popular. The food was high quality and your meal came with 2 sides, salad, hot bread and nice presentation at a reasonable price. Alex left the business several years ago and the current owner has run it for some time. Today was my first time back in several years. The outside looks dated and needs a refresh. I almost thought it was closed. It was 2:30pm on Saturday before Mother's Day and almost empty. I don't recall it ever not being full of people waiting at the bar for a table. Until today. The decor is ok although I don't care for the fringe lamps directly over your head. I was going to get ribs but decided on 10 oz prime rib ($32.00) comes with 1 side (I chose baked potato - only sour cream and butter is offered). No salad unless you pay extra! The warm bread was fine with two kinds of butter. My companion had the Kids spaghetti $(8.99). My prime rib came out and it looked about half the normal thickness it should be and in a puddle of juice. Even the server commented about why the kitchen did that. And it was warm, at best. No horseradish or other condiments were offered. No garnish on the plate. Just a thin slab of meat. The juice should have been in a separate cup. But the small baked potato was steaming hot! My companion had a giant pile of spaghetti with about a 1/4 cup of sauce on top! Too little for the mound of spaghetti. And it looked like cheap jar sauce and no meatballs. She didn't mind but I wasn't thrilled. And her fountain drink did not come with the meal ($3.99)! I had a lavender lemon drop martini that was ok. ($10). Ultimately the food is mediocre and it feels like they are cutting corners to keep prices down. But that means it's no longer the special place it used to be. Sad.

The atmosphere is high-energy, packed with screens, and carries that welcoming, "everyone's a regular" vibe that chain restaurants in big cities usually fail to replicate. The Menu: Something for Everyone One of Tully's biggest strengths is its massive variety. Whether you're with a group of picky eaters or a crowd with wildly different cravings, the menu is built for it. They cover the full spectrum of comfort food--from hearty burgers and fresh salads to pastas and steaks. The drink list is equally robust, offering everything from ice-cold domestic drafts to creative cocktails that pair perfectly with a loud afternoon of football. The Stars of the Show: Asian Chicken Tenders You can't talk about Tully's without mentioning the tenders. While they are famous for their original recipe, the custom Asian chicken tenders are a total game-changer. They strike that elusive balance of a crispy, hand-breaded exterior tossed in a sauce that delivers a sophisticated sweet-and-spicy kick. It's a flavor profile that keeps you coming back for "just one more" until the basket is empty. Don't Skip Dessert While many sports bars treat dessert as an afterthought, Tully's treats it like a main event. They are legendary for two specific treats: * Homemade Cheesecake: It's rich, creamy, and clearly made in-house with a level of density you usually only find in high-end bakeries. * Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie: This is a decadent masterpiece. It's the perfect end for anyone who loves that classic salty-sweet combo, featuring a silky texture that melts instantly. The Verdict: Tully's proves that you don't need to be in a major metro area to find top-tier bar food. With its massive portions, "Best in Show" tenders, and a dessert menu that rivals a pastry shop, it remains the gold standard for small-town sports dining.
