It's just not a trip to the States without a stop at Cracker Barrel, so towards the end of our Buffalo day trip, we popped on over to the only location in the area. It was an off time but it was nevertheless pretty busy. I knew exactly what I wanted before I even sat down, though, which made ordering a snap. I went with the always-reliable U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish - 2 Pieces ("Two cornmeal crusted and fried fillets with tartar sauce for dipping plus three hushpuppies and choice of two or three Country Sides. Served with hand-rolled Buttermilk Biscuits or Corn Muffins"), and I got the Fried Okra and Hashbrown Casserole as my two sides. It arrived soon after and was just as fresh and delicious as I was hoping. There's just something about the way they prepare this dish that I find irresistible, from that delectable seasoning/batter to the crispy edges to the flaky fish. It's one of my favorite fish dishes ever, pretty much. And the two sides didn't disappoint either, especially the okra, which was piping hot and super flavorful. The corn muffins were flawless as well. I love Cracker Barrel. The ambiance, the down-home service, the tasty food... Everything is awesome.

Good time for a last minute birthday dinner. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress was very pleasant, attentive and cheerful! I ordered the big easy steak & shrimp dinner with macaroni and cheese with a side of mashed potatoes w/gravy. I was delighted with the portion size, I just wasn't 100% fond of the sauce. Next time I will order on the side. It was pretty good. My sister ordered a breakfast entree (pancakes, bacon and eggs). My stepdad had the catfish w/turnip greens and macaroni and cheese. He started on his food immediately as it's his favorite meal here. I'll definitely be back.

They finally brought back the campfire chicken and I was happy and disappointed at the same time. I noticed a few changes and it just didn't taste the same, you noticed that they didn't take the same passion in putting it together and it shows. The waitress never introduced herself and it felt like she hated her job, and that definitely showed. Overall it was a good experience, but it could have been better. BTW, the campfire was composed of 1/2 chicken, carrots, onions, frozen corn on the cob, grape tomatoes, and 2 potatoes, enclosed in foil and baked, I also had corn muffins, I also used a lot of Tabasco sauce, which made it taste better, iced tea, which the waitress never checked to see if refills were needed, next time I will get what they specialize in breakfast

I arrived late and left early, another stop on my drive. Cracker Barrel supports RVers by allowing us to use their parking lot overnight. And since I was here well after they closed and departed well before they opened, there wasn't an opportunity to support them in return. Usually, I'll get a late dinner or breakfast. The parking area was level enough though it was a bit noisier from the road than usual. Good enough for sleep and I was rolling before 6am. [Review 1395 of 2024 - 399 in New York - 22418 overall]

To start off, the server (Nilea) was very patient with her costumers and polite about it as well. The service was quite slow because of how busy they got later on, but I would definitely say it was worth the wait. The food was way better than I expected it to be. One of my daughters ordered the Crispy Shrimp that was a wonderful dish that she and my wife enjoyed. I ordered the Shrimp Skillet and it was delisuose but their could have been more shrimp. My wife had Campfire Beef Skillet and it was very flavorful and a great choice. The restaurant gave a friendly country vibe that we thought matched the theme perfectly. Over all it was definatly a great pick for us. (Kuddos to the server)

3.5 star Obviously very short staffed with a long wait time on refills, ketchup, hot sauce, more syrup... by the time I had everything I asked for my meal was cold and I was thirsty. Staff were nice and the place was very clean though. Food had a great flavor, but was luke warm by the time I got it and cold by the time I got condiments to eat it with so I left my eggs because cold eggs are gross.

What a joy it was coming here. It's awesome inside. The store is one of the coolest parts of the restaurant. They have some cool stuff! I'm not a big breakfast fan but the food was top notch. One of the better breakfasts I've ever had. We went on a Friday morning so it was not very busy. In and out in less than an hour. Highly recommend

We set our reservations online and by the time we were 10mins away we were #1 in the cue. The lot looked full but walking in we greeted and seated almost immediately. The down home decor adds to that small town diner feel but in a chain restaurant. Our waitress was friendly and helpful and got our food and drink order placed immediately. The misses got the maple bacon chicken and wow did she love it. So much flavor and a good portion size (sides okra and cheesy potatoes). I opted for the southern fried chicken dinner. I can't recall the last time I had chicken that was so crispy and moist that it took that much effort to not take down all 4 pieces. A generous helping of chicken that was better than anything KFC has put out. (Sides Mashed potatoes and broccoli) Our littlest diner chose the chicken tenders. She too loved how juicy and crunchy the chicken was, plus the fries were "super good". Side note: the hot chocolate... treat yourself. The wife said it was the best cup of it she's had in quite a while. We always enjoy our visits here, it's hard to come over a 3 on a chain restaurant for me unless something is above average. They do everything well and we haven't had a bad meal so I gotta give it to them. Everyone left smiling and found some Chachkies along the way out.

It's my honey's birthday, so we met up with family at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant and Old Country Store to celebrate. Our party of 7 was seated immediately on this Sunday during the dinner hour. Both the parking lot and the restaurant were fairly empty so we didn't have to fight the crowds. Cracker Barrel has been a part of our family celebrations as well as a dependable rest stop on our family road trips to the Maryland Shore. But today we kept it local in Depew NY. The Country Store is always very tempting to me, and today was no exception. The merchandise is always changing, is always beguiling and enchanting, but I kept my spending impulses under control today. The dining room was very clean and tidy, and we settled down to reading the extensive menu. The waitress and the busers were very efficient and friendly. Service was just perfect! The only issue at our table was a pot pie with very little filling. Our wonderful waitress quickly brought a second pot pie to supplement the first, much to the satisfaction of my daughter. We ordered the biscuit Beignets with butter pecan syrup to share at the table. Oh, My Lanta! What a delicious ending to a fun evening with family. All in all, Cracker Barrel Restaurant and Old Country Store is a good value, with predictably good comfort food.

Absolutely miserable staff across the board. They seem to be annoyed with each other and with customers. I would never ever come back here.

We have had excellent meals here. They have the usuals and some other unusual items that sound terrific. I had the granny"meal which was delicious . One thing I noticed, the eggs were cooked perfectly. The omelet was tasty and tender. . My husband really enjoyed the steak omelet. Next time, I'm getting what the next table had - these taco shaped dough thingies with cream cheese inside and strawberries on top. Oh My. Neighbor at the table said they were amazing . My plan is to take one for the team and get them. I'm afraid I'll like them way too much. This restaurant I was very busy both times. Good sign. So, If you go at prime breakfast and lunch times there may be a little wait. Well worth it.

Campfire Grill is our number 1 Favorite Breakfast place in Western New York…read more We arrived at about 11:00 AM Tuesday morning, and we're very pleased to be seated right away. We traveled a very far distance to enjoy Campfire Grill, and often the line for tables goes out the door. Today I ordered one of the specialty breakfasts, the Breakfast Flatbread which is two eggs, hollandaise, bacon, spinach, and Roma tomatoes over a crispy flatbread. I'm going to go out on a limb say this is now my most favorite breakfast. This dish comes with a choice of campfire potatoes or fresh fruit cup. Today I ordered the fresh fruit cup, and it was very delicious. Fresh grapes, pineapple, and melons. I would order this again. My husband ordered the cattle melt. This has to be seen to be believed. It's a mountain of a breakfast sandwich. Loaded high with sliced roast beef, two eggs, melted cheese, mushrooms, peppers and onions all stacked up on a grilled thick cut sourdough bread. It was so huge, that he had to bring half of it home in a box. He thoroughly enjoyed this melt sandwich. Finally, we also ordered the Griddle Toast Logs because, frankly this is the real reason we come to Campfire Grill. French toast slices rolled around a core of fresh, strawberries, and sweet and cream cheese, grilled crisp, and covered with more whipped cream and fresh berries. Truth be told, we could not even dive into them until we got home because we were so full with our entrées.. But they didn't last more than a few minutes after we returned home. The decor is reminiscent of our days of family camping trips, which always featured over the top breakfast, and very indulgent campfire menus. Posters on the walls included, moose, fish, bears. Really takes us back to our childhood vacations in the woods.

I've never come here because their cinnamon rolls are so large, my roommate shares with me and my sweet tooth is satisfied. Recently, I went in to pick up someone else's order. It was my first time in there and I found it cute, with lots of natural light coming through. I'm not sure if it were the owner working, but whoever the lady was she was incredibly kind and upbeat; she even let me try a ham and cheese roll up croissant that was coming soon to the menu. I ate it on the go. It didn't make a mess at all and it was very good! It had something sweet to it so it wasn't dry, with I think some poppyseeds. It was a really nice blend of flavors and textures. Stop in and see what's in the display case :)

I stopped by on a Saturday around noon and was able to grab a parking spot practically right in front of the main entrance, but there's plenty of parking nearby thanks to the other businesses and stores nearby. I walked in and there were a few people dining in, plenty of tables to sit at . I really like the large windows, they lighten, brighten the interior and it's fun to sit, eat, and do some people watching. haha I noticed only one young lady working behind the counter, she was incredibly friendly, very warm and courteous - we chatted the whole time, she was so nice! So what did I order? Fall 2025, Kaylena Marie's re-introduced their "Specialty Rolls" with the big change being the size being "mini" compared to their normal cinnamon roll, which is HUGE. I have to say, I love the "mini" size, it really is the ideal size, pairs well with a scoop, or three, of ice cream. :) For the week of 11/18/2025-11/23/2025, the East Amherst bakery's "Specialty Mini Roll" was 'Mini Twix Roll', which is Kaylena Marie's roll drizzled with caramel and chocolate, filled with even more caramel and chocolate, then topped with crumbled Twix bar pieces and glaze. I ordered two, one for Saturday and one for Sunday. :) This roll reminded me how much I like a Twix bar, wow! The roll itself was soft, which the glaze, caramel, and chocolate only helped to soften even more. I suggest throwing the roll in the microwave for about 20 seconds to take the roll to a whole other level of deliciousness. The price for one "Specialty Mini Roll" is very reasonable, in my opinion, as it's a nice size and are fresh baked with great quality ingredients. Kaylena Marie's of East Amherst is a great café, still serving up delicious and gourmet food and treats. Plenty of parking, large, bright cheerful interior with friendly staff working. I look forward to coming back for the next "Specialty Mini Roll" that commands my attention!
